It could be that you feel the bottom is being pulled out from under you, but I think that what you’re losing is really your false sense of security. Nobody can deny that better things are possible in your emotional life, much less you. The problem with false security is that it often prevents us from seeking what is real, and provides an excuse for us not to take care of ourselves. If personal circumstances are turning in this direction, I suggest you go with the changes and, soon enough, you’ll find yourself standing on solid ground.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Cancer weekly for Nov. 21, 2008

For years, the primary focus of your life has been work. The emphasis is rapidly shifting to relationships, and this is a word of caution as much as it is of welcome. As for the caution part, your energy field is opening up to allow others in, and to allow them to have a greater influence on your experience. This will require you to be focused and to maintain a high level of awareness on each individual being who inhabits your world. As for the welcome part, you have tended to get stuck in the ways of the past, when trying to love in the present moment. I suggest that how you love is as important now as who you love, and as who loves you. Be open to people with different ideas about relationship, in particular ones that remember that content is more important than form.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Aries weekly for April 11, 2002

Irritation is the muse of pearls and revolution. I’ve little doubt that the edge of discomfort you feel is just calling your attention to the gentler state of freedom and appreciation available to you now. That edginess is telling you something to continue to make adjustments. The actual verb is “alignment.” Keep making very small adjustments in your position until you feel like you are in the right place remembering the feeling of mild irritation in your body even as your attention shifts distinctly to your mind.

If you can overcome any inertia tempting you to cling to the way things once were you’ll plunge headlong into the future. More than anything you need to get yourself out of the house as much as possible. Keep an overnight bag with you at all times and arrange your life so you can be spontaneous. For example make sure nobody is expecting you home and that the kitty has a little extra food and water. There are people waiting to meet you — an entirely new group of friends that will manifest in the coming days and weeks. But they probably won’t be knocking on your door.

You know best what is good for your health — the key will be listening to yourself, and following your own advice. We all know how diligently people ignore precisely these things; I don’t suggest you do that. Remember that the most important dimension of health involves your mind. Meanwhile, you may be in a relationship situation that is causing an unnecessary stir in your life. That’s something to watch as well, making sure that you’re not engaging a tradeoff of sex for chaos. You have the potential for an extremely interesting sexual journey in these years of your life. It can be something that nourishes you, keeps you young and serves to liberate you. If something is demanding too much time, money or energy, I suggest you really ask yourself whether it’s worth it.

If any relationship situation seems to be calling for a sacrifice of some kind forget it. It’s not true. You have plenty to give and you will benefit from giving it. But whoever is on the receiving end will receive a gift far more important than you can imagine. You also have very little you actually need right now — your own requirements are quite well taken care of. So keep the focus on others and see if you can get them to talk about what they’re afraid to ask for particularly from you. No matter what the appearance — there is something genuinely important you’ll learn and you can in fact respond.

The changes you once feared in your relationships are turning out to be the most productive developments you could hope for. I don’t doubt the honesty and integrity of your socialist leanings for half a moment. Without Aquarius we would have only a limited concept of what it means for humanity to function as a group or for people to live as equals. But I would suggest that you’re taking a bit more sober view of the world and why certain people are the way they are. If you will hold your boundaries and make clear statements of commitment you will get the same in response and everyone will benefit from the process.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Scorpio weekly for April 20, 2012

Do you want your relationships to be easy, or do you want them to be real? I suggest that you see things in terms of these two options, at least initially. By real I don’t mean difficult; challenges usually show up in the context of denial or resistance rather than by a conscious embrace of what is so. However, I suggest you notice the way that you tend to make other peoples’ issues into your own problems. Being real also means being real about knowing where the edge is between you and somewhere else, and knowing when it’s appropriate to cross over that line. Clearly you are being drawn into a deep situation of some kind, if only by your curiosity. The place where a warning should go off is when you find yourself adopting problems that simply are not your own, on the excuse that you love someone. The thing to focus on is creative purpose and a kind of calm, centered passion about life itself — not the relationship.
