A Few Horoscope Readings by Eric Francis

Here are some samples of horoscopes I’ve written during the past 15 years, selected randomly by The Oracle. My horoscopes are now updated twice a week, with extra monthly horoscopes as well. I’ve written more than 1,000 12-sign horoscope columns, beginning in 1995, to the present day. My interpretations blend rigorous preparation using advanced charting techniques with an intuitive skill that is similar to dream interpretation. The result is a clear, relevant understanding of your current astrology, with 15 years of archives (1999-present) preserved on the Planet Waves website.

There’s no telling what you will decide, and it’s not necessary to predict. What’s important is that something deep, old and very stuck is finally moving, dissolving or giving way to an evolutionary (or is it revolutionary?) process. It’s likely that you’re letting go of a whole lot of fear, particularly of the emotional kind, and particularly that your parents branded you with. I offer this encouragement: you have every reason to keep a bright outlook, to have faith in your heart and to allow yourself to make plans for the future. You do have the power of choice. You always have, but now you know it or are about to learn. Please never forget.

Emphasis now shifts to the angle of your chart where your role as a giver of gifts to the world is accentuated. We all know you’re a fussy critter and aren’t going to accept any old role as a world-server. But your filters just got finer. If you find your efforts frustrated, consider the specifics. Are you really focused on what you inwardly know you ‘should’ be doing? If not, now is the time. You have something specific to offer the world, in terms of a vision, but more specifically in terms of putting your vision into action. There’s one added challenge: What you’re about to do hasn’t been done before.

Most concepts dividing the ‘material’ world from the ‘spiritual’ world are perfectly artificial, reflecting the mind’s conflicts far more than those of any objective reality. Yet is it not clear that we view ourselves more as what we have rather than who we are? And as a result, is it not clear that in a state of material abundance, we can feel perfectly empty? And that in other times of what you could call spiritual abundance, we can feel financially impoverished? I’m not in a position to make any guarantees, but if you pay attention during the next four to eight weeks, you’re in line with a series of revelations that will help you heal these divisions, now and forever, and allow you to get on with the real business and pleasure of life with higher integrity, and in greater comfort than ever before.

You understand certain problems you’re noticing around you as involving the deepest urges that humanity feels within itself: anything survival-related, or acting like something is survival-related when it’s not. You consider them intuitively; now you need to find language to express what you’re observing or feeling. It’s not too intense to talk about or understand, and you may be in a position within a relationship where you need to get things into words that don’t often fit there. Most people would either internalize the experience, which could be saying nothing in the midst of very strong feelings, or take out aggression, fear or blame on oneself. This is where language comes in. Beware of blame, and be aware that you may be feeling and need to express blame, to yourself or someone else. This is part of being honest: it’s the beginning, not the end.

Recent turning points in your life have taught you flexibility, and now you need to put those lessons to work; yoga is not enough, nor is alternating between two different breakfast cereals. Speaking of breakfast, it may seem like a person in your life is struggling with their attachment to you, but I assure you that it’s really the other way around.

You’ve been attempting a clean sweep of your emotional affairs for a long time now and have almost succeeded. What you must come to terms with is that no matter how many times you run the broom across the floor it’s still going to get dusty again. And however many walls you put up between yourself and annoying relatives who seem determined to throw a wet blanket on your warmth and comfort, you need a functioning door through which you can come and go. These days you had best spend some time on the outside of that door because the professional opportunity you’ve been waiting for is not going to come visiting. You have to go get it — and you can.

Humans have many strange and convoluted ideas surrounding religious worship, and none of us are free from contamination from what usually turn out to be well-decorated methods of governmental or social control. But religion Libra-style would be your basic appreciation of love, sex, abundance and the balance of the light and dark forces in the universe. There is, in truth, something beautifully simple about the way you devote yourself to life, and I suggest you not lose sight of that simplicity, despite what people may be expecting of you or the opinions they may hold about who you are or why they think you’re here.

The Sun is about to enter your opposite sign, the eminent Leo. The coming weeks promise to be an exceedingly interesting phase where the truth about many facets of your life becomes apparent, and more to the point, so too does how much cooperation you have in doing something about them. Pay attention and guide yourself away from those defensive reactions for which you are so famous. Just because you’re defensive doesn’t mean you’re wrong, but it does mean you’re blocking vital information from coming back to you. If it seems obvious that you have your faults, remember everyone has their faults. The real question is whether we’re willing to work with them.

Your charts are taking on a larger-than-life quality that they frequently do this time of year, though at the moment you have a spectacular opportunity to act on it. If you are planning a business move of any kind, this is the time to reach upward. The key to success in this venture will be remembering that it’s not about you; you are involved, but what you are here to create is really something much greater. The key is to see yourself as part of that something, perhaps a large part, perhaps a small part, but in any event a significant one. One reason this is true is because you are the one who takes the initiative that enables something to actually happen. Be aware: the time is nigh.

There is an interesting dance occurring in the sky between the two warrior planets — Mars (the original Scorpio planet) and Chiron (associated with healing and higher consciousness). To me it looks like this: A whole new set of instincts are now with you. Your old fears and frustrations, especially those you were given by others during childhood, are in retreat, in a sense, going back to where they came from. And a new form of intelligence has come into being: a gift for focussing your awareness where it really matters, and for taking into account the facts of which you are aware. And there is something else, and the only words I have for it are collective soul.

You seem to be reading a book about a love story or some extraordinary creative endeavor, but a little like Edgar Cayce used to — with the book under your pillow. This same person or thing may be dreaming of you, imagining herself into form, reaching to you from an unseen world. You may be able to feel the contact points weaving themselves into existence behind the veils of your awareness. The less you do the better; this is indeed a situation where your receptivity is more important than striving for anything external. If you want to lean into a situation and get some results, at the moment work is an excellent place to do that.

Because you exist in such a structured world, or because you strive to do so, it may be difficult for you to appreciate the kinds of changes that defy any sensibility, tradition, logic or reasoning process. And, curiously enough, you attract people who spend a lot of time doing just that. Or not so curiously, because you gain so much from the tribulations of other people, in terms of what you get to observe, and what you learn about yourself, even though it takes a while for you to figure out that it really is about you. Then one day you notice. And that day, by all indications, is coming very soon. The part of you for whom logic holds no sway, the part of you moved only by the red blood of desire or the unworldly heat of dreams, is experiencing a change that has no plans of obeying any rules of this world. But in such a time, one must follow what the ancients called Higher Law.

It’s time to stretch every horizon. The first one to expand includes your vision of what is possible, of who you are and of what you can achieve. I’m aware how challenging it is to do this even if you’re ‘good’ at it, though you do have help. What you’re really changing is your idea of who you are, as if some ‘higher self’ version of you contained on another level is flooding into your personality, displacing your ego and offering you the sensation of your most enlightened self. While you’re stretching horizons, don’t forget the boundaries of place that so often seem to hold you back. You’re someone who can make anyplace interesting, though now unusual locales are calling you, as are friends from other parts of the world — some of whom you may not know today. And while you’re stretching, take the next few weeks and lean into some expanded ideas of what is possible. The truth is: you can do anything, particularly using this moment as your fulcrum. How do you get there? In a word, faith. Faith is not something you need a lot of. All you need is a little. What some spiritual traditions call the ‘greater faith’ reaches back to you, responding to your call; the greater light joins your small light. You initiate the process, with your commitment to dare, to see, to embrace your life. That is the invitation for Divine providence to make the next move.
