Anish Kapoor is this year’s invited contemporary artist at Versailles. His installations will be on display until November 1st. Here his Sky Mirror stands on the plateau between the chateau and the gardens.
Paris-based photographer Danielle Voirin travels the world and documents her experiences in photographs. She takes street photography and photojournalism a shade beyond even art, to the level of mysticism. As always, Ms. Voirin, your composition is flawless. Triangles, circles, inverted reflections, and the faux-self-reflective detail of that gal in the foreground seemingly pointing her camera at you. Brilliant shot.
Thanks Amanda, you’re so sweet. I’d actually like to see her shot as well, because behind me was a long, curved rectangular mirror that Kapoor calls C-Curve. One side reflects right-side-up, the other reflects upside-down. It’s great fun.
