Today’s Oracle takes us to the Virgo monthly for November 2008.

You cannot control everything, and neither can everything control you. You are about to learn something about finding the balance between politics and pleasure; between bureaucracy and art; between stagnating and exploring; between fear and emotional freedom. The distinctions between these dichotomies are too often missed, but they are now coming into high contrast. You will see them less in terms of the choices you have, and more in terms of the way you approach those choices. Unless you work in a chicken factory, there is a boring way to do everything, and an interesting way to do it. One way to tell the difference is that the interesting way will make you nervous. You don’t like being nervous, but I suggest you hold out for a while.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn weekly for Oct 29, 2010.

Keep your focus on food. The adjustments to your diet you make now will have sticking power. You know what you need to do; you know what is and is not food (and if you’re in doubt, it’s probably on the ‘is not’ list). If you know you have a food sensitivity, make sure you cut that out of your diet first. There is only so far you can go avoiding things, however. Fairly soon into the process you must define what food is, and then get some and start eating it. I recognize this is an enormous issue in the lives of busy people, particularly with kids and especially if there is a budgetary restriction involved. Those kinds of obstacles can be worked out with planning. The thing to remember is that it’s worth it. You will live better and most likely longer if you eat the right food. This is a lifelong habit, and the sooner you cultivate it the better. With Ceres and Pluto together in your sign, this is an excellent opportunity to take some significant evolutionary steps.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Aquarius weekly for May 30, 2016.

You might feel as if your career is stalled out or going backwards, though I assure you that’s not true. You’re in an important phase of both rethinking and preparing for developments in the not-too-distant future. Though it may feel particularly challenging now, the thing you need to do is set goals. This will come, of necessity, with reviewing your previous objectives, plans and desires. To do new things, it’s essential to get outdated and/or conflicting plans and desires out of the way. Dedicate yourself to this over the next few weeks. Really sort out your goals, by which I mean your very highest desires for your life. Notice when you seem to reach a limit of what you think is possible. That might be a place you’re inclined to stop your ambitions. I suggest you keep going, for one reason: anything worthwhile that anyone achieves was once considered ridiculous, unlikely or impossible. In hindsight, it was none of the above.

Our most vivid goals, desires or dreams sometimes tease us forward. You are familiar with the process of transposing from an idea or image into reality, and the process of being coaxed or seduced there gently, and sometimes desperately. You don’t, at this point, want your dreams to come true: you want to work with them, refine them, develop them, and indeed, design them, until you create the strength to make them come true. Accept the invitation to become the one who shapes your vision of your life. Let your dreams guide you, but do your part to shape them, as well.

I suggest you make a list of all your unfinished business with everyone in your life who truly matters to you. You’re drawing to the close of a major phase of your life. The themes of these events include embracing maturity, grounding your life in a purpose, setting boundaries and dealing with what are sometimes called ‘authority issues’. Yet part of coming to terms with yourself means coming to terms with your intimate partners, and your philosophy of relationship. Notice whether you’ve outgrown anything lately; that’s the feeling of not being able to fit the person you are into the idea of what a relationship is that, for a while anyway, served you well.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Scorpio weekly for May 30, 2008.

You may feel like the cooperation of another person is essential to meeting a certain objective or goal, but it may not be the person you think. You have many allies; many people around you have access to the kinds of resources you need. I suggest you get over the feeling that without one of them in particular, you don’t have the magic ingredient. And if there is a magic ingredient, it’s you. Anyway, someone who is acting up right now is not going to keep it up forever. They just need a little time to sort out their own stuff, and to be sure that they are in the right place. Try not to take it personally. Though it may affect you, in truth it has nothing to do with you. Part of being an influential person means that you have the ability to face any situation, and to turn temporary reversals of fortune into opportunities.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Aquarius weekly for March 19, 2015.

You are an original. It’s true that Aquarius is the very emblem of ‘weird and proud of it’, though I am really talking about being innovative. This is as much the product of Aries in your chart as it is of anything else. Though you seem to have memorized all of tradition, you are rather determined to do something new with your mind and with your life. It’s not that the past is boring; it’s just that it’s the past, and we’ve done it all before. What has not been done grabs your sense of adventure and of the unknown, which at times can become an obsession for you. Now would be such a time, as the Sun gets ready to join a fiery group of planets in the idea zone of your chart. Just remember that ideas are made of imagination, and that’s something that has a life and a light of its own. That light is burning hot and bright at the moment, and you are a well of glowing stuff in every color.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Sagittarius weekly for Sept. 18, 2014.

An interesting mix of energies in your solar chart casts you in two different roles — the agent provocateur, and the perfect diplomat. That adds up to subversive. Being a successful subversive is a skill, and you can go a long way to mastering that skill over the next few days. The thing to remember is that people trust you, and they look to you as an example. The less you say about certain topics the better you will be able to convey your real meaning. Listen for the ways in which people are already likely to agree with you, and take that as your lead. Tap into the ideas and motives of others. This will help you avoid evangelizing, or seeming like you have an agenda. In order to do this with any integrity, you must be clear about what you want to achieve and why. Be real with yourself. Do not make excuses.
