Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn weekly for June 3, 2011.

You may not feel ready, but you have an opportunity. The lack of readiness has a few components, one of which is being reluctant to take on any more responsibility than you already have. However, if you’re thinking this, you may be working with an outdated concept of responsibility. We could start with an easy shift into the ‘able to respond’ definition of that word; explore that for a while and check out how you feel. In practical terms, doing more is not always a matter of working harder. There are three factors at play: awareness, efficiency and desire. Start by being aware of your surroundings and how they are changing. This includes what supposed authority figures are saying, doing and planning. Next, look for simple solutions to what may seem like complex problems. You should be able to see through the issues and observe them for what they are. Last, the desire factor addresses any additional work. It’s not work if you really, truly, want to do it.

By now you are quite likely to be figuring out what you’re made of, or at the very least, you’re likely to have a decent collection of evidence. Isn’t it strange that it was possible for you to live for so many years without having a full understanding of the depth and quality of who and what you are? Isn’t it strange that it took so long for you to begin a formal inquiry? Pay attention to the strange ways in which the new lessons come — the things you observe when you’re not really looking, the bits of information you glean from miscommunication and misunderstanding, and what you discover when you tune into what I can only describe as the hormonal dimension of reality.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Aquarius weekly for July 6, 2012.

It would be just brilliant if you spent some time hanging out with the idea that sex is an experiment. That’s a way of saying it’s a direct experience, driven by curiosity, which tends to have an outcome that’s uncertain till you get there. Part of the experiment is how the experience changes any of the people involved. When sex is alive within an alive relationship, that state of change is going to be pretty much continuous, and you’re about to get a taste of that. Rather than responding with the famous ‘fixity’ of Aquarius, I suggest you adapt the flexibility of Gemini and the multiple viewpoint property of Mercury. Over the next few weeks you’ll have the ability to look back over the whole story of the relationship, and the potential to work through some of the unresolved material — though as with the rest, I suggest you proceed in the spirit of an experiment.

If you find yourself facing a problem or issue, pause and ask yourself if you’ve already solved it. If you find yourself needing anything, ask yourself if you already purchased it. Rather than discover, acquire or plot new things, check out what you already have on hand. You seem to be up to something — some project with potential public impact, and you want to proceed with intention and use your resources wisely. Draw on your environment: approach your supporters, work with your allies, and make sure you get people on board as far in advance as you can. This same astrology might lead you into high-friction situations, which would be a waste of time. If you use your mind and your intuition, you will save time and get more done. And if you put your social skills to work — which, as you know, is optional — you will get even further. Think and be polite.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Leo weekly for Nov. 3, 2006.

Innovation is the key, and it need not be a big fancy one. The thing about keys is when the right one fits the lock, nobody really cares what it looks like; it worked. It may be a small key that does the trick, and you may have to turn it gently, and if it doesn’t work, there may be a back window open that you can crawl through. You can, however, trust that the way is open, that ideas will flow, and that you will have the resources you need to ensure your wellbeing. Be mindful, however, that your notion of wellbeing is also taking a journey. Family Focus: Keep a sense of proportion. Any crisis is far smaller than it seems.

The more overt one involves the sense that, somehow, you must stand alone if you are going to express your genuine identity. This is just about right: there are phases of life’s process that require us to forsake the approval of others for the sake of something better.

I suggest you keep your focus on partnership issues, particularly where a group or organization is concerned. You may have figured out that there are too many people in your life for your comfort, and too many of them have access to you and your resources. You cannot just walk away but you can get clear in every situation where there is a need to be clear. Once the Sun changes signs, that’s your clue to spend some time away from the reservation and see what’s going on somewhere else. This will provide a change of scenery and put you into contact with people more in harmony with your nature. One advantage I’ve discovered about getting near the ocean is that it’s possible to see out to the horizon. You can look at the water and in a glance, know the conditions of the atmosphere. Whether you do this metaphorically or physically amounts to the same basic thing.
