Self-discoveries you make this year could be game-changing, and fill in some missing pieces on a project you’ve had in mind, or help you hone long-term goals. You’re entering a high-energy phase, and steps taken now to further your interests may have far-reaching effects. Self-expression is highlighted: writing or educational prospects can bring a fulfilling sense of achievement. Do your own thing as much as possible, but give others their due. Respect and sensitivity with partners goes a long way.

Mercury stations direct today at 2:12 pm EST in Scorpio. As ever, during the few days around the station (known as Mercury storm, when its apparent speed is slowest), things could still be a little awkward and stilted. Mercury storm has this quality because reversing course, figuratively or literally, takes a good deal of effort, especially if there’s momentum involved. Think of a large ship switching its engines from reverse to forward thrust, churning up the water, and you have an excellent image for how your mind (and the minds of others) may be feeling.
The Moon today continues its journey through Virgo, which potentially adds to the tension, and could result in frayed nerves or tempers. It’ll help if you avoid getting into situations where you know you could be provoked. Consider alternative ways in which you might expend some energy — preferably creative or fun.
When you encounter others over the next few days, listen carefully and observe in detail what is being said and what may be unsaid, felt or implied. Don’t make assumptions or act on guesses; just gather the information and offer a non-judgmental presence.
