I’ve posted an article on Edward Snowden’s natal chart to The Mountain Astrologer’s blog as of Monday night, an exciting article that gives some insight into who he is. I’ll see you later this evening with a new Planet Waves FM, where I will cover Mercury retrograde (which begins tomorrow). Inner Space monthly for July will run as Friday’s horoscope. Aries (March 20-April 19) — Whatever you accomplish in life, you don’t accomplish alone. You always have help, and you depend on your friends — what you’re doing now is no exception. There’s one bit that comes from you alone: having the guts to take initiative. You make the decision to create something, or to organize an effort around a goal. That part nobody can do for you.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Don’t let jealousy define your goals for you. That would include your own jealousy and your fear that others will be envious or resentful if you succeed at what you want to do. The deeper matter is whether you have the courage to state clearly what you want and need, and not use anyone else’s feelings as an excuse.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — You’re not a child. I suggest you remember that if you hesitate on making a decision, or if you feel like someone’s influencing you more than you think is appropriate. You have the intelligence and motivation to accomplish anything, and the opinions of others don’t matter in the end. What matters is that you have faith in yourself.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — You can go forward into the future even if you haven’t resolved every issue, fear or insecurity. What matters is that you remember to ask yourself the right questions even as you enter new territory, which you can think of as putting your past learning to the best possible use. Real questions have answers, though they don’t usually come all at once.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — You may be in the role of facilitating cooperation among a group of people who cannot quite get along with one another but who have the best intentions. I don’t suggest you take leadership in an obvious way — rather, say and do what you think is right, don’t let anyone distract you and others are likely to follow your lead.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Mercury, your ruling planet, is stationing retrograde today, which may cause you to question whether you really fit in with the world. Yes, you’re different, and yes, you fit in, especially if you’re not afraid of how different you are. The equation of the planets works out to a resounding, “Be bold about exactly who you are.”

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — A professional matter is calling for a creative solution, yet I suggest you ask if what you’re looking at is really a problem. Actual creativity means thinking for yourself rather than thinking within parameters and guidelines that others have set down for you. This is when you must break some rules and come up with something original — and you will.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — There are two feelings associated with the concept of ‘faith’. One is like a nagging question. The other is quiet confidence. Both are available to you — though only one is the real thing. While you’re busy asking questions, don’t forget to pay attention to what you hear in response. If you ask a valid question, you will get a valid answer.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — In order to have the benefits of a mutual situation, the one thing you have to bring is your willingness to offer yourself to the relationship. It would help significantly if you gave yourself permission to receive what others have to offer, and to be a bit more generous with what you have. In the human realm anyway, life is about an open exchange.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — You may have pondered many times if anyone is strong enough to handle the real you. The real question is: are you strong enough to reveal the real you, and have the courage to see who responds? I know all the ‘rules’ would disagree; looking at your chart, I would say that being real will get you a lot closer to the contact you want than a thousand ads on Match.com.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — Many people feel like they have nothing to give because they’ve never tried, or they’ve taken one seeming failure as a sign that something is impossible. Your astrology offers many clues that you will feel worthwhile to yourself and to others the more you make yourself available. This is not a matter of theory; it’s a matter of experience.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — This is the time to throw away any doubts you may be feeling about yourself or what you’re committed to. You choose what voice in your mind you listen to, though if I may intervene in that conversation, Jupiter’s move into Cancer will ease your doubts and open up new horizons that you may have dreamed of, but never imagined possible.
