Cancer kids of every age have done more than their fair share of maturing the past two years, and as the official, certified adult in the situation, one contribution you can make is to remind them in clear ways that a kid is a kid no matter how responsible they may feel. You may want to take the responsibility to give them less responsibility or, in the case of older kids, trade back household jobs or responsibilities they don’t want for ones they do.
