One, you’re too invested in your work identity to really enjoy human contact or even the human adventure of your job. Two, you’re experiencing some fear of the edge, of surrendering that part of yourself that needs to vanish in order for you to really merge with another person. Three, you’re encountering some aspect of yourself within a relationship that you don’t necessarily like. Deal with these things forthwith, if necessary. This moment is far too brilliant to waste.
