Planet Waves Daily Oracle for Friday, May 22, 2020

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Sagittarius weekly for April 18, 2014.

This is not the time to make or break contracts — you’re under too much pressure, there are variables you don’t know about, and it’s essential that you figure out what you want before you commit to anything new. I suggest you hold to your current course as the grand cross and solar eclipse do their work, though obviously if you encounter something interesting to do, do it if you want, as long as you don’t sign away any portion of your future longer than an evening or weekend adventure. The very most significant thing you can do is to see your options. This really is one of the great challenges facing humanity, even in this time of so many alleged choices. Most of the usual options don’t apply to you; they are too trivial. Your astrology suggests this is a time of authentic, deep decisions for you, and to make such decisions you need some idea of what is available. Your fiery nature usually likes to jump into things headlong without considering what might develop. Your current astrology is saying you need to be a clear thinker, an analyst and a visionary to make the most out of your options, many of which you don’t yet know exist.

The Saturn-Pluto conjunction is separating, but still strongly influencing our experience. While this event will happen two or three times in the lives of most people, this particular instance is a moment of convergence and reckoning for the world and for us as individuals.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Leo weekly for February 28, 2003.

Tune into your home and its surrounding environment. Do you feel safe there? Tune into your heart; do you feel safe within yourself? You’re in the midst of a deep rearrangement of the way you relate to people, and that will only work if you’re sure your environment is secure. People may be coming and going from your life; there is a sense of movement and shifting commitments and most of all, growth. It may be taking a lot out of you, but it’s also adding a lot as well. One thing that you’re learning is the utmost value of clear contracts. Contracts are always based on good faith; at any time, anyone can bail. But what contracts give us is a framework of expectation. Just relieving the mystery of what to expect can help us get on a lot better with people, which right now counts for a lot more than it usually does.

Planet Waves Daily Oracle for Wednesday, May 20, 2020

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Taurus monthly for September 28, 2010.

The presence of another person in your life may feel so strong that you’re wondering whether contact on any kind of equal terms is possible. Yet there is no contact with another without contact with yourself. The deeper you go into your own sense of presence in your world, the deeper you’ll delve into your experiences of others. Your solar chart suggests that you’ve been keeping secrets from yourself. These secrets involve your relationship history, and in particular, what your values about deep connection are and where they came from. More specifically, Venus retrograde in Scorpio suggests that you’re deeply involved in a process of understanding your sexuality and how it manifests in your relationships. This is as much a quest for understanding the past and its influences as it is about letting go of out-of-date ideas and emotional responses — which in part means letting go of your attachment to them. This is not as difficult as you may think, particularly when you assess the cost of the attachments and get a feeling for the benefits that can come when you take your life into your own hands. I would offer these queries. What is the meaning that you put on sex, and how did it get there? What is the value you ascribe to it, and has it actually demonstrated that value? And, what did you leave behind in the distant past that you want dearly to retrieve?

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn weekly for February 28, 2003.

What you’re wanting right now, or what you’ve suddenly discovered is true, may be scaring the shorts off of you. It is indeed a strange notion to feel an impulse to run from what you truly value. But the other side of this sensation is that the experience of truly valuing something or someone is an extremely daring prospect, because, as you have discovered so many times, you cannot always keep or possess what you value the most. Yet there is a way of looking at life, and of coexisting with life, whereby our values can be directed at building that which will last. That takes two things, really: vision and cooperation. Neither are guarantees of success. But we can be assured that without both, there won’t be much that will last till the tide comes in.

Monday Morning Horoscope #229 for May 18, 2020

Aries

Aries (March 20-April 19) — The Sun entering Gemini this week will help you give a voice to all that you’re feeling. Other factors are supporting this venture as well. In our world, having a voice is the difference between making your way in the world, and total frustration. The voice you’re seeking is relaxed, friendly and casual. Your goal is not to be an orator but rather to be conversant. Then listen to what you say, and decide how honest you’re being. This may be in the grand sense of the word, or the sublime. In particular, how sincerely do you speak about your feelings? The issue may be that you feel a few different ways about a few different things, and it’s difficult to place your location within your own opinions and responses. Therefore, let your perspective be mobile. See things from many different viewpoints. Invest in asking people what they think and how they feel, and learn from what they say. Gradually, this will become a deep conversation. Get your full Aries reading by Eric here.

Anyone who has encountered it is curious about Chiron. Planet Waves provides one of the few dependable online sources of information on this unusual planet. Taurus

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Your ruling planet Venus has turned to retrograde motion, and the Sun is about to exit your sign. This in total is a refresher course in staying in the moment, because that’s where the richest rewards are right now. Not in speculation or any form of obsession but rather in noticing where you’re at right now. There is, though, an element of reassessment of some prior events in your life. This may involve a loss, or something you gave up for what might now seem like the wrong reason. Try to suspend judgment about whatever you’re considering, and make a basic inquiry. Start with the facts, which you may want to consider from several different viewpoints. Maybe sketch out how you see things, and how you suspect another person sees them. This is an inner search that will shift your perspective on a situation and also teach you something about yourself, one of those true discoveries. But give it time. Venus will be retrograde for a while. Get your full Taurus reading by Eric here.

You can now get instant access to your 2020-21 Taurus Astrology Studio here for just $44. This reading focuses on a professional breakthrough toward the end of the year, and preparing you for this development. Venus retrograde in the spring is preparation. Mars retrograde in the autumn is preparation.

Ultimately this is a spiritual development, yet in reality we are talking about aligning your purpose with action, with a calling, and with an opportunity. Elements of the reading go out to a series of power steps in 2021. Read more.

Gemini

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — When the Sun enters your sign on Wednesday, you will figure out how much you have going on — and you may want to simplify your life. That would be a worthy goal as you enter your Solar Return season and begin another trip around the Sun. Pay attention to your suspicions of others. Notice whether you’re driving people away by being wary of their positive vibes. If you’re doing this, probe into whether it’s honest. You may be projecting something from another situation, perhaps from the past or distant past, and using what you “learned” as a way of generalizing onto others. Venus is retrograde in your sign, and will be into late June. This is a rare opportunity, one that’s happened only twice before since 2004. You can widen the scope of your Venus retrograde journey and go on a quest for anything you may have mislearned or misremembered. You might have a sense of ambiguity about some matters, though what resolution means is deciding how you actually feel. Get your full Gemini reading by Eric here.

Your 2020-21 Gemini Astrology Studio, The Sacred Space of Self, is now available for pre-order at just $33. The reading covers Venus retrograde in your sign, Vesta in your sign, Saturn in Aquarius, and the momentous astrology at the end of the year. Get the best price by pre-ordering today. Thank you for your business and your trust.

Cancer

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — I keep solving the riddle of this horoscope, and then forgetting the solution. I am writing about the 12th house (activity in Gemini, in relationship to Cancer), and this is an example of the elusive quality of that house, where most of your astrology is taking place. The next few weeks can, if you want, be a time of deep inner exploration, though you may discover elements of your psyche that surprise you. These will have a hide-and-seek quality, which can reverse its position or appear to be opposite of what it is. So for a while there will be no definite points of resolve, but then the plan will come together when you least expect it. There are always a few ways to look at any question, any idea, any person, and usually we’re limited to one. What you’re really doing is moving around inside your consciousness and getting different perspectives on yourself. Get your full Cancer reading by Eric here.

Leo

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — In terms of your healing process, it’s the spiritual dimension that counts the most. The rest will follow. That is, of necessity, an aspect of life that calls you into yourself, when other factors may be calling you into the world, and the social life of society. Keep leaning into the inner realms, which will be darker, quieter, and contain little in the way of easy answers. Yet this space is the best one to enter for the deeper questions. You know you’ve got one because you can’t easily say it to others without feeling like you’ll make people glaze over, or wonder what you’ve been smoking. You may consider those social-level conversations a kind of pretext while you set your ears and your subtle senses on your inner labyrinth. If you’re working on the level of physical healing, it’s the structure of your body that you want to consider. The content of your mind is important, and so too is how your head balances on the top of your spine as you walk or sit. Study that and see what you learn. Get your full Leo reading by Eric here.

Virgo

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — You have a knack for seeing opportunity where nobody else does, and for knowing how to make it real. Use that talent now, with the Sun entering Gemini later this week: that’s the currently intriguing midheaven angle of your chart, where you seek both responsibility and the rewards of recognition. Virgo has the element of doing two things at once: living out two major careers at the same time, for example. Now, however, you want to integrate and therefore concentrate your energy into one objective, and one calling for all the different sides of your mind and of your nature. Think of everything you do as a facet of the same thing. It is good to remember that for most people who take on a serious mission, their life calling invites them in. it feels less like choosing something from a menu and more like falling through the roof and landing on your feet. You know what you need to do, and what needs to be done: they are most likely the same thing. Get your full Virgo reading by Eric here.

Libra

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — If for the moment it seems that all of your philosophical inquiry is leading you nowhere, fear not. You are making progress, though it has not necessarily manifested in the outer world. You’re in the phase of pushing your roots downward rather than reaching upward toward the light. Those roots you’re growing are into yourself. In this process you’re learning to draw strength from both sides of your nature. You have to take your whole self along on this next journey; you cannot leave any aspect of yourself or your nature behind. Everything flows from your capacity for faith, for devotion and your inherent need to serve the world. Though this may seem like an odd suggestion, don’t think too big. Maintain a local, wholly manageable focus. Big achievements are not necessary; tangible ones are, so set goals that you can meet in a fairly short time. Get into the groove of recognizing how meaningful they are, and therefore you are. Get your full Libra reading by Eric here.

Scorpio

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — You may be hot and fiery while a partner is cool and retreating into their own world. This could be about sex, it could be about conversation, or you may be feeling the results of “social distancing” that are seeping into the world of consciousness and not just of bodies. Give people as much space as they need to work out their inner questions. Give yourself as much space as you need to have some fun, make some art, or get your ya-yas out (borrowing a bit from The Rolling Stones). You are an individual. Everyone in your life is an individual. This becomes more obvious when people admit that they have their needs and desires, which you seem ready to be real about. While being bold about your desires may lead to a shakeup in a relationship, there’s been some tension brewing for a while. Like much of the world, you will benefit from a shakeup and a reorientation. Just remember that deep down, you’re a hedonist. Get your full Scorpio reading by Eric here.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — The Sun enters your opposite sign Gemini this week, joining many other planets: Mercury, Venus, Vesta and the potent lunar North Node. Follow your attractions, even if you’re unsure where they will lead. Show some leadership and courage where people are concerned, and get the conversation started. There is a courage problem right now, and not only that, there are a good few people who are looking for any excuse to Be Very Afraid. Society is in the process of bifurcating on this concept: the ones who are afraid of everything including and especially their own shadow; and those who see no choice but to keep living their lives. Which of these general categories do you fall into? How much caution is enough, how much is too much, and how much is just ridiculous? Pay attention to who feels what way and why, and pay attention to how you feel. Have your criteria for discerning a risk from a threat from an imaginary notion. The differences are significant. Get your full Sagittarius reading by Eric here.

Capricorn

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Prepare to spend some of your summer resolving old business. That will be a good investment in your future. You won’t have this same chance again: the final visit of Saturn to your birth sign between July 1 and Dec. 17. After this window closes, Saturn will not touch the edge of Capricorn again until 2047, which is a long time even by your standards. The question is, do you want to resolve this material, or would you rather keep your employment as a crisis and risk manager eternally? Because once you are, hypothetically, done with that, you would need something to do, and you would have to face your fears as you enter unfamiliar territory. Consider whether your sense of ‘self-acceptance’ comes through the discord and controversies associated with your family. See if you can map out your actual relationship to authority, and ask yourself whether this approach is helping you. There is a lot here, and fortunately all it will take to move things along is a bit of honesty with yourself. Get your full Capricorn reading by Eric here.

Aquarius

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — You may be obsessed with having a plan or a strategy, or reviving an old one that you forgot a while back. I suggest that for a while you proceed with no plan, and instead, focus on desire. Sure, you might have a good scheme you’ve been working on. The issue I propose, though, is that it may be more designed to please someone else than it is to work for you, and that’s the last thing you want. The ‘someone else’ could be a parental figure; it could be what you think is acceptable to your peers; it might be what you think will be successful as a business (thus pleasing hypothetical customers). The astrology of our moment is about exploring your curiosity, your interests, your desires and in a sense, your needs. What gets your attention should be engaging on the level of sex. Stick to those topics and that dimension of feeling, and divest yourself from complaining about what you find to be annoying. Get your full Aquarius reading by Eric here.

Astrology Studio for Pisces | A New Reading by Eric Francis

This is a momentous time in collective history, and a turning point in your life. As the year develops, most of the movement — including Pisces’ ruling planet Jupiter, and the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction — will be pointing into Aquarius, the most sensitive and innermost angle of your chart. I will also cover the retrogrades of Venus and Mars, and the forthcoming Jupiter-Pluto conjunction in your friendship sign Capricorn. Mostly, I will help you orient on your profound journey, and offer guidance how to harmonize with the world at this unusual time. Get instant access to this reading here.

Pisces

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Regardless of whether society is “opening up,” I suggest you keep your focus on your home. There is a time for every purpose, and Venus is retrograde in the area of your chart associated with feeling good, feeling grounded and feathering your nest. If you know anyone who’s not too terrified to breathe, maybe invite them over for some old-fashioned socializing involving food and music and actual conversation not obscured by the internet or a mask. Consider your home an extension of your body and your emotions. Invest your energy into cleaning, refreshing, and generally breathing life into your four walls. Mostly, your space is about you. This extends out to your garden walls, if you happen to have a little bit of land. But even if not, clean the windows, wash the curtains, clean out the fridge, hunt down the dust bunnies, and give a bunch of stuff to the local charity shop. If you did any prepping, you might start passing things along to the homeless shelter or the food bank. Get your full Pisces reading by Eric here.

Planet Waves Daily Oracle for Monday, May 18, 2020

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Gemini monthly for May 23, 2012.

oracle

The whole is not only greater than the sum of the parts — it’s a lot more fun, and useful, and interesting. Yet there’s another level to this — what you actually do with all this potential. A car is greater than a garage full of parts, but then — where do you go? This month’s precise Sun-Venus conjunction in your sign is a clear demarcation point between the past and the future. Wherever you are going, it’s somewhere other than you’ve been, and I reckon, other than where you expected to go. This will require you to summon flexibility that’s unusual even for you, and to facilitate that you are about to release many old tendencies that have kept you stuck in certain patterns and at a certain depth within yourself. Or rather, your relationship to yourself. It’s true that you relate to yourself in a way that many people you know do not — consciously, aware of your ‘inner other’. Over the next few weeks, it looks as if you discover that your inner other is actually your soulmate. You don’t need anyone else to play this role for you; your friends, lovers and companions have different roles to play. Your experience of them, and of anything seemingly outside yourself, is rooted in your experience with yourself — and your relationship to yourself. If the planets in their courses say anything about you right now, it’s that you are recognizing that your relationship to yourself is something to honor and treasure every day.

The Saturn-Pluto conjunction is separating, but still strongly influencing our experience. While this event will happen two or three times in the lives of most people, this particular instance is a moment of convergence and reckoning for the world and for us as individuals.

Planet Waves Daily Oracle for Sunday, May 17, 2020

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Leo monthly for June 1, 2002.

oracle

It is not time to change directions quite yet — not for several weeks at least, and, at that moment (you will know when you arrive) a long pause is in order. For now, there’s more mystery to be unraveled, and more of the rewards of what you’ve worked for, available on your current path than you probably recognize. Clearly, doubt is playing a powerful role in your life. My sense is that your deepest struggle is whether there’s really a place for you in this world: not just any place, but your special place, where you can bestow your unique talents and gifts on the culture. If that is truly what you seek, hold the commitment in your heart as a conscious act. And remember that if your unique place is what you seek, you will have few direct role models, and few who really know reminding you that while effort brings you far, faith carries you the greater distance.
