Gemini 2015

Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope — Dec. 17, 2015, #1080 | By Len Wallick

It appears as though you are developing a ‘nasty’ streak of common decency. Fortunately, there is no cure. This is not to say you haven’t been a decent enough person up to now. Rather, you are about to plumb greater depths of the stand-up person you have always been. As with exploration of caves, you will probably have to overcome trepidation. It will mean sorting real from imagined risks in order to realize the potential you now have to reach those personal depths, and then return to demonstrate in public practice what you’ve found. Therefore, in your continuing evolution towards being a more truthful, just and trustworthy person than ever, be guided by your own resistance. You will not want to push yourself too hard all at once. Go back more than once, and just a little deeper each time, into discovering what is entailed when you do the right thing rather than just your thing.

Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope — Dec. 10, 2015, #1079 | By Len Wallick

A little organizing will go a long way for you at this time. You may feel as though your affairs are on a roll, and perhaps they are, but momentum can be a fickle thing. Don’t take anything for granted. Rather, take stock of both what you have gained and what you have lost over the last six months or so. Do not limit your accounting to material things, either. Consider the state of your relationships as well as your finances. Where you have shown demonstrable increase or attainment, put practices in place to consolidate, preserve and protect from dissipation what has been hard earned. With regards to what you may have had to give up or neglect, think about what you can do to make up, catch up or even up. Smooth rough edges so they won’t snag. Fill in low spots so you won’t fall in them.

Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope — Dec. 3, 2015, #1078 | By Len Wallick

Personal development does not always take place at a constant rate. Sometimes there are spurts of growth. The period just before a moment of abrupt maturation or attainment is often characterized by consistency and persistence, even when there are no discernible results. On the other hand, the stage immediately after a growth spurt of some sort typically requires some adjustment. It is important for you to know where you are in the course of your own evolutionary cycles now because it appears that you are about to move from one state to another. Therefore, if nothing seems to be going anywhere, keep up with your chosen practices. If you are somehow suddenly awkward, slow down. And if the world has suddenly opened like a flower, go with the flow for all you are worth.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope — December 2015, #1077 | By Eric Francis

Shared finances now come under the spotlight, and this means you will be doing some negotiating. You might consider everything to be negotiable; you might practice in antique shops in case you’re not used to haggling. The benefits or rewards are potentially significant, so you would be wise to slow down and really, truly understand your situation. Take a conservative approach, which means focus on numbers, resources, shared responsibility and how any arrangement is structured. You will need to apply some old-school thinking (adding up the figures definitely counts), though you’ll also need to account for what has developed, shifted and rearranged during the past seven years. Plenty has, particularly values and attitudes; and any business plan you develop with partners needs to account for those changes. You can afford to think ahead; indeed you really must, which will call for some ambition on your part. Yet your form of ambition really involves thinking of something beautiful that doesn’t yet exist. It might involve having faith that the seemingly impossible is no such thing. While you have a pragmatic, strictly business side, with so many Pisces planets dominating your charts your real aim must include how you will serve people or how artfully you can do things (preferably both). Money is not everything. Yet realistic ideas about finances will lead to better work and substantial profit.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, #1076 | By Len Wallick

Wistful winds are blowing. You may allow them to move on. You may also elect to move on with them. The important thing to remember is that you are always free to choose. What to choose is your prerogative. How to choose begins with thinking it over while feeling your needs; then proceed to talk it over with those who have proven able to ground you, and to be your points of contact with reality. Yes, integrity does mean being responsible for any obligations you have taken on, but that’s not all there is to it. At root, being in integrity means being whole. In order to be whole you need to feel alive in addition to simply being alive. In all probability you have had some prior experience with airy yearnings, so thinking them over would entail taking into account what you have learned. By the same token, talking things over needs to include both offering and agreeing to clearly understood compromise and delegations of power.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, #1075 | By Len Wallick

In many a milieu, women conventionally have bonded and developed trust by sharing confidential information, insights and support. Men, on the other hand, have traditionally formed bonds of trust by engaging in common enterprises to build or achieve something together. Yet very little is conventional or traditional anymore, whether in relationships or endeavors. Additionally, it’s gotten more difficult to forge healthy and functional bonds when so many of us spend so much time in cyberspace and so little time in the physical space apprehended by the bodily senses. Even so, there are places you can go and things you can do that entail being in the same room with other people who are looking to start new traditions and break out of outmoded roles. At the same time, these places and activities also develop bonds that require and rely on both trust and physical presence. The first step in finding those opportunities is to look for them. The second step is actually showing up to give them a try.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, #1074 | By Len Wallick

Everybody has their limits. It’s what you do with your limits that distinguishes you from everybody else. Perhaps nowhere else do limits show up more vividly than the nexus where relationship and career meet. Assuming you have both a private life and some sort of public life, now would be a good time to patrol and inspect that border to be conscious of what you have there. If there is a fence between the world and your world, try to remember how it got there, what purpose it now serves, the state of its repair and whether a more open border would define you better on both sides. If there is a hedge, it would be a good idea to meditate on the difference between it and a fence. If there is no demarcation at all, you might want to at least know where the line is, should you ever need to cross it or draw it.

Marie Claire Horoscope for November 2015, #1073 | By Eric Francis

You’re inclined to be careful, but set a limit on that. As my Aunt Josie was fond of saying, nothing attempted, nothing gained. Any insecurities you may be feeling are really a cover for the desire to dare. Experiment more boldly, especially with ideas, projects and maybe a relationship; the reward will be the satisfaction of having dared, and tried — and succeeded.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for November 2015, #1072 | By Eric Francis

Beware of anything that someone claims is both a moral and a medical issue. Said another way, how you feel is not a matter of some external opinion, and neither is how you seek your wellbeing. Gradually you’re breaking down your old, mostly inherited beliefs of right and wrong. An ethical person must be in command of their own understanding of their personal truth. You recognize that people do what they do, and you will do what you do. There’s actual freedom in that, because when you recognize that you have a choice in any matter, you’re more likely to exercise that choice honestly. So I could start this horoscope over by saying, beware of any situation where you seem not to have a choice, or where someone tries to convince you of that. Or: be aware of your options. If you seem to run out of them, ask yourself, what would I do if I didn’t feel some authority was breathing down my back? What would I do in a world where judgment and grudges were not such an issue? Incidentally, if you’re at some crossroads where the choice seems to be either relationship or career, you might start by asking yourself who set that up and why it is you would have to choose one over the other. There are potential reasons, though it may not be true.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 #1071 | By Eric Francis

Mercury is now direct and has loosened its grip on reality. The way this is likely to play out for you is a series of self-reinventions, clustered within a few weeks. You’re good at this. One thing you know as a Gemini is not to be too invested in form. You know that the way to keep changing gracefully is to dance to the music of the spheres. That all said, there are some significant turning points coming up; these may involve a project that’s currently underway, which seems ready to transform completely. You may be poised to take a whole new approach to something, which you might think is long overdue (but it really was not going to happen with Mercury retrograde; the coming week or two is a much better time). To me this astrology looks like you’re updating your files, casting off a bunch of old ideas, methods and commitments that have not been working, and getting yourself tuned into what works better for you right now. It’s way too easy to get stuck in the past. Experiment, experiment, experiment.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015 #1070 | By Eric Francis

Mercury, the Gemini planet, stations direct Friday in one of the sweet spots of your chart. I could describe the properties of Mercury in the first degree of Libra, such as some miracle of diplomacy, or solving a problem that defied all resolution. Yet there’s something much larger and more significant — which is to say, this involves your orientation on existence. Yes, you have one; you have a worldview, you have a perspective that influences everything you perceive and everything you believe. This is what’s changing; this is what’s awakening in a way that’s never quite happened before. Your life could pivot on something that seems small or insignificant; a single idea could lead you to reevaluate everything. Are you open to change on that scale? It would help immensely if you are. Longterm factors present in your chart are calling on you to be adaptable, particularly in your opinions. You may need to do this in the face of others who expect you to buy into their dogma or their own intractable position. Hang loose. Reality is not what it seems.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 #1069 | By Eric Francis

Most people are full of reasons but lack reasoning. I suggest you stick to your reasoning process. Know the steps you take to get from your observations to your conclusions. Go back and retrace those steps and test the logic of each one. See if you’re jumping over anything relevant, or reaching conclusions not supported by the facts. What you may discover is that your initial discoveries and observations are closer to those facts than what became of the scenario as time or events progressed. This may not be the conclusion that you want, and any morphing of the story may be a kind of wishful thinking or self-convincing. Any implied hard realities are not as hard as they seem. What you’re going through at the moment is a clarification of your values, and a shoring up of your boundaries. Most of those boundaries involve what beliefs you allow into your mind — many of which enter through the process of your relationships. Put simply, just because someone else believes something doesn’t mean you have to — nor does that make it true.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for October 2015 #1068 | By Eric Francis

If you’re looking for that brilliant idea that’s going to ring the bell, you’re heading in the right direction (though it may not seem that way). Proceed with mindfulness and take the approach of doing things one step at a time. Be meticulous. Do not skip steps, especially involving communication with collaborators. If you find something that needs fixing, get to it now, so that it’s not there to distract or delay you in the future. You may not believe it now, but you’re working toward something that’s on a larger scale than you’re accustomed to. You are doing something that has the ability to resonate with others, and you may have been working toward this for a long time. It may be a new project, or it may be an existing one (dating back up to 18 months or so) whose time has come. I suggest you experiment with both existing and new projects and see what resonates. That’s the concept to work with — resonance. This same astrology may involve a relationship, and if it does, the resonance I’m talking about is specifically creative-erotic. I am not saying romantic. I’m not saying soulmate. I’m not saying hookup. I’m saying that rare morph of adventurous, nourishing pleasure that is available to you just about everywhere and with more people than you might imagine. Though few will admit it, this is the good stuff. Really good.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 #1067 | By Eric Francis

Mercury, the Gemini planet, stations retrograde Thursday in Libra — the place in your chart where you can go pearl-diving for ideas (your 5th solar house). There you might find concepts for movies, books and art installations. Yet anything can benefit from a creative approach, and nothing says creative like Mercury retrograde in the 5th. It’s one of those movements that can shake up your approach to life. Any new viewpoint or angle would be well-served by curiosity. I could write a book about this, though I’ll sum it up in a sentence or two: curiosity will keep your mind fresh and alive. Inquire of others and of yourself. Know when you don’t know and seek out any missing information. More than anything, apply your curiosity to yourself. Allow your experience of living each day to be an exploration of what you don’t know about your inner life, and by extension, the world. Since this is happening in Libra, here are two more ideas: apply the principle of balance, whatever that means to you. And above all else, emphasize beauty. Make sure your presentation is tasteful and elegant, and you can do anything you want.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015 #1066 | By Eric Francis

You seem to be torn between craving security and knowing that you must take chances. The two concepts do not necessarily conflict. They could, of course — though let’s consider the ways they support one another. The reason someone would dare to do something unusual would be to build a better life. One reason one would want to have some grounding (known in our culture, over-simplistically, as security) would be to live a little more adventurously. The kind of grounding that you stand to gain over the next few weeks will be the product of your not clinging to a concept of what is supposedly safe. What you may notice is that what gave you the feeling of security yesterday no longer matters tomorrow. What made you nervous yesterday may suddenly emerge as the thing you need to do, in order to feel at home on the planet. You might take that as your mantra — feeling at home here on Earth. What offers you that feeling? If you think in terms of feeling at home rather than ‘safe’ or ‘secure’ you will see and be aware of much more tangible options to choose from.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 #1065 | By Eric Francis

You don’t need to live your life wondering when the fun is going to run out. It’s true that several different factors are guiding you to take a more focused and serious approach to existence. This may include the idea that you need to shift your relationships and choose one that really works, even if that means sacrificing something. I suggest you take the opposite approach, and filter out the people who are not participating in what you want; people who don’t really recognize you. They have plenty of other opportunities and so do you. Yet where you may start is with yourself. It’s rare indeed that people focus on their inner relationship. Most of what we do with others ends up being a distraction from having an inner life; from being content on your own. Even the thought of this is often experienced as scary, dangerous, undesirable or impossible — but somehow inevitable. Saturn soon to arrive in your opposite sign Sagittarius is a bold invitation to get to know yourself, like only you can.

Monthly Horoscope for Sept. 2015, #1064 | By Eric Francis

Saturn enters your opposite sign Sagittarius — which reveals the quality of your relationships; it’ll be there, working the territory, for the next two years. This is an extended get-real, get-serious moment. Relationships that belong in your life will go through a series of transformations and become stronger. Those that do not will likely be cleared from your energy field. It’s in the nature of Saturn to favor action taken voluntarily, and honoring the boundaries of time. This is where you will need the maturity to know what’s appropriate for you and what is not, or said another way, to honor what you may have known for a long time. Every situation in your life must support your emotional growth and nourishment. Notice when you have an exchange with someone that leaves you feeling fulfilled. Notice when an encounter leaves you feeling depleted. These contrasts will encourage you to continually improve your situation.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015 #1063 | By Eric Francis

If the potential expressed by your ancestors was really the thing that limited you, you would have little to look forward to. Therefore, I suggest you use what your parents and grandparents accomplished as a baseline; as a kind of low-water mark that you were born to exceed. Much of what you know about their lives involves the struggle that they went through. You may have some feeling that in order to honor them, you have to honor that struggle, which may mean attempting to repeat it on some odd, unconscious level. Actually, their modest achievements are what has opened the way for your greater ones, including happiness that exceeds what they believed was possible. I would call your attention to an issue that is passed on from generation to generation: jealousy as a birthright. As twisted as it is, toxic, competitive envy is often handed off from parent to child as some kind of unalienable privilege. It’s nothing of the kind, and I suggest you replace it with the wholly positive response to what others do and what they have. Think of any good thing you see as the expression of your own potential, because that’s what it is.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015 #1062 | By Eric Francis

Your charts tell a story of someone or something coming home to you. Therefore, prepare your home; give yourself the perfect living space for who you are and how you prefer to exist. One place to focus on first is your kitchen. Scrub it down. Clean out all of your food storage areas. Dig out and clean your refrigerator, your pantry, your dish closets. Toss out anything that is not wholesome and useful, and replace it with what is fresh and more to your preference. Invest in new, high-quality bedsheets. This is an energetic ritual as well as a practical one. Its design is to open a flow of abundance directly into your home, and to prepare your space for healthy, nourishing relationships. Doing this will put you in contact with some of your deepest values, which, contrary to any description of your sign that I’ve ever read, focus on all matters of home and family. You may not have fully encountered the depth of your affinity or indeed passion for this aspect of life, though when you do it will be a pleasant discovery.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 #1061 | By Len Wallick

For you, and for the next several months, the spotlight of attention will likely be a fickle thing. If you are now the subject of acclaim, you may do yourself a service to remember that a season of exaltation is often fleeting. On the other hand, if others have placed you and what you have to offer on their back burner, count your blessings, but don’t count yourself out. Interestingly, regardless of your relationship to the spotlight now, your strategy for getting to a playable, even promising endgame will be much the same. To begin with, strive to be more discriminating regarding what others see of you. Pay attention to your appearance, and be conscious of whether any of your habits will detract from your better qualities. Most importantly, choose where you want to shine. It’s not necessary — or even advisable — to take center stage at all times; exhibiting occasional grace will get you quite far enough.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, July 30, 2015 #1060 | By Eric Francis

You’re being called to fulfill your mission in life, though that might be the nature of your crisis at the moment. You have so much going for you, and you know it. You have a genuine desire to succeed — and not only that, to do what you must do in order to succeed. Yet it would help if you focused your vision. Make an effort to be specific about what success would mean, and what it would entail. There seem to be two major forces at work here — one that is offering you clear ideas, and another that’s offering you an inspired but vague vision. The clear ideas come with questions, perhaps about your capabilities. The vague ideas are difficult to grasp and are easy to get lost in. So you might forget the whole idea of a goal for a while, and invest your energy gaining confidence in what you do, by doing more of it. I believe that the real issue is that you feel insecure, and this would undermine anyone. Therefore, practice — and keep your ears open for the sound of opportunity.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for August 2015, #1059 | By Eric Francis

Hang out with people who make you feel good about yourself, or said more accurately, people around whom you feel good being yourself. I recognize there’s something unusual going on with the mutable quality of self-assessment or inner emotional sensation — how fast it can change, and the forces to which it’s subject. I suggest you go with this particular flow rather than resist it, and hang out where and with whom you feel good being alive and, closer to home, feel good being yourself. This would include feeling positive when you cut loose or have some peak experience; when you experiment with who you are; when you experience an obsession of some kind. In a few words — the whole spectrum. This same astrology describes your susceptibility to taking on the emotional material of others. You’ll be able to tell what’s going on there by how you feel about yourself in their presence. However, speaking of the material of others, there’s some residue from one particular recent ancestor — a parent or grandparent — that has a way of choking off your happiness. You may only notice that when you start to feel positive and it suddenly stalls out. I don’t think this is about you. I think this is someone else’s self-image caught in your DNA or emotional body. It’s time to flood the valley and wash that out.

Weekly Horoscope for Wednesday, July 15, 2015 #1058 | By Eric Francis

Now is the time to take action on financial matters, which under this astrology is likely to include both a plan to earn more, and an equally important plan to take inventory and organize your resources. By now you recognize that you’re looking at income potential that is as yet unrealized. You must be wondering what it will take to get the gold out of the ground. What it will take is carefully devising a strategy, then knowing when to stick to it and when to modify things. You may also need to temper your generous nature, for the sake of self-care and the ability to be supportive of others in the long-run. But you don’t need to make any excuses for being fully willing to support, sustain and nourish yourself. It would be abundantly healthy for you to focus that as a primary goal, with bold determination and actual happiness. Also notice any interference you may be getting from any voices in your mind or perhaps from those in your social circle. You don’t need to justify yourself and you would be wise to sidestep the temptation to do so. Just proceed with your intentions and plans with as little discussion as possible.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, July 9th, 2015 #1057 | By Eric Francis

Mercury has spent more than two months in your sign. It’s now ingressed Cancer, bringing a welcome change of emphasis. It’s as if you can now get on with what really matters. But what exactly were you busy doing all these weeks, especially during the Mercury retrograde of May and June? I suggest you go back over that and see if you can, at least, get a look inside what may seem like a time capsule and determine what you were so concerned about. That will help you order your priorities and claim what you’ve learned. At the moment the emphasis is on the money angle of your chart, and I suggest you catch up with anything related to your finances. You’re in an excellent position to strategize, turn up the energy on some money-making projects and squeeze some extra profits out of your efforts. This is not just an option — it’s essential that you take this opportunity to be especially clever with money and your other personal resources (such as your talent), which count for more than cash.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, July 2nd, 2015 #1056 | By Eric Francis

What you think is troubling your mind, possibly in the form of a decision you need to make, is rooted in an emotional question. If you’re trying to get a handle on where you’re really coming from, or what you really want, check in with your feelings — their subtler level. Your mind may be racing along, which could distract you. You may be grappling with seeming contradictions that appear and disappear, which is confusing. Indeed, it may turn out that what seemed so pressing yesterday or a few days ago has less urgent tones. So it would be wise to slow down, give yourself some time, and check in about how you feel day by day, even hour by hour. There would seem to be little need for urgency and a greater need to tap into your inner environment and experience the true colors of who you are. That will help you respond to the underlying question: what is motivating you right now? It’s not quite what you think.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for July 2015, #1055 | By Eric Francis

You’ve been spun around so many times the past couple of months you may be completely disoriented, and have no idea what to believe. Of course you’ve learned a lot along the way, at least by process of elimination. You can cross a good few things off your list of what to worry about, or wonder about. You have a much clearer sense of who you can trust. Yet still, all of this has been leading you to a decision, and that time has arrived. You now get to make up your mind. There’s a commitment involved in this, and you may feel pressured to make an affirmative statement when you’re still facing some doubt or hesitation. Yet is your uncertainty valid? Do you really lack any necessary information? Go over your facts carefully. Account for what you want to believe, but understand that your belief could be unfounded and warrants investigation. Make an inventory of everything you don’t know, and then start to answer your own concerns. What you may discover is that the thing you’re really doubting is your own thought process. Yet your perceptions and assessments are sharper than you may think. The only thing you have to watch out for is the distinct feeling of wanting something to be true. That is your indicator of caution. Take a balanced approach. Be as objective as you can. What’s true is true. What is not, is not.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, June 18th, 2015 #1054 | By Len Wallick

The planet Mercury is no longer retrograde. However, Mercury is not yet up to even half its normal speed as it retraces the degrees of Gemini where it recently appeared to be moving backwards. Hence, be patient. Your time will come. Implicitly, your time will come in the company and society of others with whom you share a similar lifestyle and ways of being. In the meantime, go with the flow as regards to society as a whole. Remember that one of mythical Mercury’s main talents was the ability to go and fit in anywhere. For the rest of this month, it would be a good idea for you to employ that same talent, which you surely also possess. Therefore, as a temporary measure, consider the benefits of going along to get along as you make your own way through life.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, June 11th, 2015 #1053 | By Eric Francis

Mercury stationed direct in your sign on Thursday. This would normally help you clear up any confusion and get yourself moving after a series of delays or distractions. Yet you may still find yourself bogged in doubt and an odd lack of clarity. Other factors in your solar chart suggest that you know exactly what you want, and you know how to get it. You’re willing to override your concerns and uncertainty and make any necessary decisions. The key here is to know your options and to choose consciously. You might take a little more time to put your plan into action; I don’t think this would hurt, and it could certainly help, because over the next week or so additional information will come out in the wash. That data is likely to confirm what you already know. This does make a difference, since confirmation will help you proceed with greater confidence. You seem determined to make the right decision, and having your mind on stable ground will save a load of energy that could be wasted on doubt.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, June 4, 2015 #1052 | By Eric Francis

Your professional identity or official title is not who you are. Ideally what you do emerges from your sense of who you are and what is the most meaningful to you, though for most people that would be considered a luxury. At the moment you may be experiencing anything from some mild confusion to outright conflict between something related to your job and your sense of self. First, I suggest you not try to work this out so fast. It’s one of the deeper questions that we face in Western culture — working out the whole issue of ‘I am’ as it relates to what we’re supposed to have accomplished by any particular age. I would say that this issue goes far deeper than job, profession or title; we are really talking about how you relate to your mission in being alive. That is not something you find outside yourself. It’s an inner search, where outer clues count for something. Yet is the search really necessary? Don’t you just know? Or are you still in the process of admitting it to yourself? Pay attention — information is coming.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, May 28th, 2015 #1051 | By Eric Francis

You are influenced by your distant past more than you may recognize, though I think you’re figuring it out. Mercury retrograde is guiding you to look back over your shoulder. You may be experiencing bits and pieces of unresolved scenarios from the past. You may even find it productive to tidy up some of those things as you re-discover them. Being clear about resentments and the way they can hang you up would be helpful use of this astrology. But in truth, you’re being guided to seek deeper into your personal history than may seem obvious. You’re seeking information from the invisible past, the one that has disappeared into the foggy mists of time. You might ask why you need to remember or be aware of something that you forgot long ago. I would propose that you will have a lot better idea of that when you figure out what it is.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for June 2015 #1050 | By Eric Francis

You’re never one to keep silent for long, though you may be pushing things lately. Between Mars in your sign and Mercury retrograde there as well, you’re speaking with unusual boldness, though some may perceive you as arguing both sides of an issue. While I would never urge you to dial back your eloquent views, I suggest that you pay attention to the limits of others in your environment. This would include your intimate partners, business partners and those with whom you have a strong disagreement. You live the idea that dialog, debate and repartee are a friendly sport. Others not so enlightened have the potential to take offense. You may get a warning at some point this month to mind your politics, for example, those in the workplace, or when dealing with any legal or government authority. Make sure that how you express your views is appropriate to your situation. Please take extra care wherever and whenever alcohol is involved. That’s the time to avoid the whole ‘in vino, veritas’ thing and stick to less controversial matters. Let the presence of alcohol, in your environment or in your body, be a caution that you’re closer to the edge than usual. You may write some excellent stuff, though set a delay and publish after Mercury stations direct on the 11th or better still, after the Sun leaves your sign on the 21st.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, May 14th, 2015 #1049 | By Eric Francis

The planets are aligned in the perfect configuration for an identity crisis. This is connected to the juncture of the concepts of ‘this is who I am’ and ‘this is what I do’. In Western culture, they are considered one and the same thing; yet at the same time there also seems to be a split — ‘this is what I do’ and ‘this is who I really am’ is the more likely combination of statements. Over the next few weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to consider this set of themes. To what extent is your identity merged with your work? To what extent does that truly reflect who you are? During the retrograde phase, which spans through June 11 and has an influence for another two weeks, be exceedingly cautious around people who have power over you. Mind your organizational politics and be careful what you say. You could be easily misunderstood or give the wrong impression about who you are, so tread lightly and speak only when truly necessary.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, May 7th, 2015 #1048 | By Eric Francis

You may have this odd sense of forgetting who you are, then remembering, then forgetting again. But there’s one sure way to know, which is to observe your actions. Notice the choices that you make. Feel your motives at work, and watch what they lead you to do. You are confused if you forget what a kind person you are, and paying attention to your own conduct will help you remember. I would ask, though, about the source of any potential doubts. You have known certain things about your family all your life, though in recent years you’ve started to make new discoveries; well, if you can call them new. It’s more like you’ve received confirmation of what you long suspected; of what was previously impossible to know for sure. Now the question is what you’re going to do with that information.
Actually you don’t need to do much, except for make future decisions based on actual self-knowledge rather than the lies that others told you about yourself.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, April 30th, 2015 #1047 | By Eric Francis

Mercury in your sign is urging you to be discerning of what people in power say to you. You’re on notice to question all agendas, including your own, though especially those to which you’re subject. To avoid making a discovery too late, I suggest that you listen carefully to what people say — and strive to understand its implications. The thought processes of most people fall short of that step: what is the implied meaning of a statement or an action? Either that, or those implications are greatly overestimated and misunderstood. What you’re looking for is subtle, and there is likely to be some element of discernible truth or lack of truth in what you hear. Or there will be if you employ your reasoning skills, logic and gift of language. To put it simply, pay attention and think for yourself. Stop and notice when you discover that you’ve lapsed in those things. It would also be very helpful to take written notes, because aspects suggest you might discover and then forget the most important bits of information.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for May 2015 #1046 | By Eric Francis

Think of yourself as a weaver. You already know that fibers that are woven into fabric are much stronger, with more integrity, than a collection of loose threads. Therefore, collect the loose threads and, one at a time, gather them into the fabric of your life. Weaving is a conscious act. It’s based on an idea and an intention. You may at first need to trace the threads back to their origins, untangle them and place them where they belong. This is of course a mental process, and you may be sorting through some complex ideas about who you are, how you feel and how you feel about others. There would seem to be some scenario from the past that is calling for a careful review. You’re likely to notice interconnections between people and events that you might have missed, though you saw the clues many times before. You don’t need to look for the connections, merely to notice them. I also suggest you pause before you judge the intentions of others, especially on events in the past, because much information is going to come to the surface. The timing extends into mid-June, because Mercury is retrograde in your sign (beginning mid-May). Other chart factors say you may be in a rush to get to the bottom of things, or experiencing some other form of impatience. Give yourself time to untangle and weave what you learn into a coherent story.

Fritz Perls, one of the co-founders of gestalt therapy, once said “lose your mind and come to your senses.” What you perceive in your immediate environment, what you notice and what you feel, all take priority over what you think. You’ll know you’re there because you feel less anxiety and less confusion. There’s a connection between focusing on your senses and taking responsibility for your life. Said another way, one method of avoiding your life is by reducing things to concepts, rather than engaging with them directly as experiences. Therefore, speak directly to people and listen to them. Notice your environment and how you feel wherever you are. Most of all, focus on what you know is the most meaningful to you rather than what you ‘think you’re supposed to do’. That admission of personal meaning is a way of giving yourself permission to live your life your way.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, April 9, 2015 #1044 | By Eric Francis

Venus in your sign bestows a special kind of intelligence. Your sign is ruled by Mercury, and Venus and Mercury are neighbors, more similar than most astrologers recognize. Mercury bestows a quick-witted kind of mental intelligence. Venus, which arrives in your sign on Saturday, describes what I will call an aesthetic intelligence. In Gemini, you might say this is about beautiful and elegant thinking. It’s offering you more than a strictly logical approach to your circumstances. There is a new kind of information coming; it arrives with both a shift in your perception and your ability to simultaneously hold two points of view and have them not be in conflict with one another. When you’re evaluating something, try feeling what is true rather than ‘thinking’ about it. And notice whether an idea is beautiful and how that affirms its relative truth. Venus is another way of looking at the world, and she’s coming soon.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, April 2, 2015 #1043 | By Eric Francis

You may feel pulled between being out and among friends, and secluded in your space making art, music or writing. I suggest you take care of your inner needs first, and then be amongst people and have that kind of more extroverted fun. You have real ideas simmering, and they need your protection and attention. You also have a limited window of opportunity act on certain factors (which I would say is Friday night into Saturday night), whereas the out-and-about kind of fun will still be there waiting for you. Right now your creative process is your most helpful therapy. It’s the place where you’ll be able to get insight into yourself, and find some answers to the questions you’ve been asking. But they are not likely to come in a tidy package. Rather, they’re likely to arrive as part of a discovery process, and you’ll know you’re really on that journey because you feel like you’re taking some unusual chances with what you say or express. That sense of risk is essential.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for April 2015 #1042 | By Eric Francis

It’s time for you to establish a conscious relationship to the protective forces in your life. You have been through plenty, and most of the situations you were certain were the most dangerous or threatening have turned out to be reasonably easy to handle. This is a demonstration of many factors that are basic to your existence. You might call them luck, but actually your sense of adventure provides you with a certain inoculation against danger. Your conscious willingness to take risks has this odd quality of clearing the way for you. Your charts are describing an invitation to involve yourself in some kind of unusual creative or romantic endeavor. You might feel that this is way over your head, or a bit too dangerous. Really, you seem to be perfectly well sustained and supported by your environment; there are forces standing guard over your life. As part of that, you are being reminded how far is too far, should you ever need to know. Within your chosen range, you have plenty of emotional and artistic territory to explore, and you can do it with gusto. The feeling you want is precisely the one where you sense yourself close to some inner edge; close to a breakthrough; willing to say something you’ve never said in a way you never imagined you would.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, March 19, 2015 #1041 | By Eric Francis

Yes, there is some odd tension in your life, and it’s been building for a while. Yet this is some truly useful tension; useful like a beam or any structure that supports weight and stress. It looks to me like something is testing your survival skills. However, this may not be survival in the sense of food and water but rather of identity. It’s as if you are in a situation where you have to define yourself in the context of some potentially fixed, stuck or oppressive force. You might like this not only because it’s testing your mettle, it’s also bringing out some of your grittiest, most driven personal qualities. This is a time in life when you absolutely must be who you are — and I suggest you love that fact, and be grateful for it all the time. Yet truly, you need to find a sense of ease in your life, despite this situation. You can, and you will, if you focus that thought, and allow yourself permission.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, March 12, 2015 #1040 | By Eric Francis

Go out of your way to take responsibility for what happens on your watch, whether you’re at fault or not. This is not about acting guilty, or feeling guilty. It’s about being willing to recognize issues for what they are and to take the steps to make things right. If you can do that, and make no excuses, you will find that your influence only increases. You might think you’re taking on what’s not yours, but when you’re in a position of leadership that concept changes considerably. In fact it can often reverse itself, where your role is to be accountable for the actions of both yourself and others. Anyone in a position of greater authority is going to be looking for your willingness to do that, and to act confidently, and to learn from your total environment. Said in a phrase, the name of the game is respect.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, March 5, 2015 #1039 | By Len Wallick

If you feel freer, it is because you are receiving astrology’s message loud and clear. If you are feeling confined, it is probably because you are listening to an old tape recording made by influences that have either relaxed or moved on. The way is open to ascend to what you have always been. It is no longer necessary for you to stoop to what was never truly you. Let the dynamic potential of actually being abundance in the flesh encourage you. Decline to let unworthy notions of scarcity deter you from growing into a more fecund manifestation of charismatic creativity. There are so many relationships you have yet to engage with. There are too many lost memories you need to recall. For you, being more is simply refusing to be less. — by Len Wallick

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 #1038 | By Len Wallick

If you have been listening carefully since the first of the year, a pattern should be developing in what you hear from others. If your listening skills have not been employed to their maximum potential thus far in 2015, it’s not too late to tune in. Either way, pay special attention to messages that would be repetitive but for the fact that the same sentiment is coming in to you from different sources. Even if you have felt disconnected, you are still online. The world is actually flowing right up to your doors of perception. Simply keep those doors open and your appropriate responses will be obvious and easy. — by Len Wallick

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for March 2015 #1037 | By Eric Francis

You have found a focus of devotion and I suggest you trust that. Devotion is profoundly important to human sanity. It may be the central organizing principle of consciousness, and you have it going on strong right now. It matters less what you are devoted to and more that you focus on that and experience it fully. It might be a person, a cause, a spiritual or religious concept or your creative fire. There’s a moving quality to whatever this is, as if the experience transports you somewhere, or summons you from far away — perhaps literally. Whatever it may be, focus the devotion and also the message that you’re receiving, or offering. Concentrate your power, as if in a circle, and tend to it from all sides — like a fire in a freestanding hearth. Look into the flames. There is a vision there, and I think it involves your life calling. True, you may have more than one of those, but this one stands above the others, its roots go deeper and it has withstood the tests of time. Gradually your vision will morph into an aspiration, and that may come to a peak with a long-awaited decision later in the month. Do not rush that. Allow the energy, your feelings and your reflections to percolate through your awareness. Do not wait; rather, tend your flame with care and patience.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 #1036 | By Eric Francis

You are getting clear about what you want to do. That, in turn, seems to be based on what you think is possible. So I suggest you consider that anything you want to do is possible, so that you don’t limit your plans. You may need to revise them at some point, though for now, think big. Allow the visionary piece of your mind to roam free and unhindered. This is less about what you want to do and more about who you want to become. Take the chance and consider who that might be over the course of five to 10 years, or even twice that. This will compel you to assume that you will live at least that long, which is part of the vision that you want. There is something else, which is widening your overall sense of scale, of time, distance and your potential. Give it a big stretch and remember, the most important faith is faith in yourself.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 #1035 | By Eric Francis

Mercury is gradually slowing to a halt in Aquarius, and Mercury retrograde will end on Feb. 11. Normally this would arrive with some turbulence, and you might have to do some rearranging of your agenda next week. However, this event looks more like an opportunity to focus one specific long-range plan. The idea is not to plot out your whole life, but rather to proceed with a specific focus. The way this looks, there is one particular intention that you’ve had, and which has resisted coming to fruition, or been hung up on some issue you don’t understand. If you recognize this description, the thing that the situation is awaiting is your commitment. When you make up your mind and devote yourself fully, you will experience greater faith in your plans. And you may have the feeling that providence, or some power greater than yourself, responds to you in kind. Keep that dialog going.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 #1034 | By Eric Francis

You seem ready to revolt against everything you ever believed that was not true. Remember, though, that this is not merely a mental exercise. What you believe is true or not will directly influence what you choose to do, or not to do; and whether you have faith in yourself. Don’t waste too much time on this. What is not true does not matter; as soon as you deem it so, emphasize what you know is real, or meaningful, or creative. It’s true there may be that side of you wondering what consequences will befall you if you violate someone else’s idea of morality. If that happens, remind yourself that any imposition of morals onto another person is inherently hypocritical. You are the one who decides what is right for you. Claim that ground and use it well.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for February, 2015 #1033 | By Eric Francis

Belief is a power that I suggest everyone be familiar with the workings of, and the effects of. I would rate belief as anything from a necessary psychological tool to a volatile chemical capable of conjuring many strange effects. The problem with belief is that it’s often taken for granted. You might think something is true, not know how you got there, not notice what possibilities you’re pre-empting and therefore have no way to test your theory. Belief too often goes unnoticed and therefore unquestioned. Mercury moving retrograde in Aquarius is provoking you to inquire into something you may not have noticed you were carrying around. It looks like a mental pattern that was acting like a perceptual filter. That filter was creating a bias in your observations. The beauty of the moment is that you’re getting some evidence of the existence of this thing, through some kind of glitch or interference — for example a disagreement over something that seems ridiculous. Or it might be that your bias comes into focus when you bump into something that makes it obvious, potentially by showing you something else that’s far more important to you. It is this encounter that sends a ripple through one particular belief and as a result, all of your beliefs, proving that it pays to question them — and even just to observe that they exist.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 #1032 | By Eric Francis

If you change your mind about a long-term plan or goal, I suggest you not send out a press release. Keep your decision to yourself. I suggest you not cancel any plans or arrangements until you’ve given this some time — my recommendation is at least one month. And if you can avoid it, don’t make firm commitments for what you’re planning to do — rather, take steps to keep your options open. Rather than thinking of this as a ‘final’ decision, feel out your options. By feel I mean sit with, and get the actual feeling of. Slip into that reality for a while and give yourself permission to make that choice. You actually have quite a few more than two choices, and this is not an all-or-nothing circumstance. Many shades of mix and match are possible, and once you begin to move on your plans other possibilities will open up.

Weekly Horoscope for Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 #1031 | By Eric Francis

Be conscious of those with a political agenda. By that I mean anything other than a personal agenda of goodwill and intimacy. However, you face a challenge in discerning this, because you’re likely to either be a bit too harsh or a bit too generous in your evaluation. You need to give people a little time to show their colors, such as a day or two. Listen to what they say and in particular what they prioritize. Notice any tendency to drama — that is usually a political gesture of some sort. Meanwhile be conscious of these things in yourself. There is an undercurrent of tension in the air, and you may have a tendency to act from a sense of injury. The antidote is to stay alert and notice when you feel like you’re being treated unfairly. Right then, wake up.

Planet Waves Monthly Horoscope for January 2015, #1030 | By Eric Francis

This year it looks like your relationship life settles down enough for you to actually keep track of what is happening. There’s still plenty going on and you will need to devote yourself to understanding yourself and others as a way of life. The difference is that now you have a sense of what the process of your relationships is all about. First, they are indeed extensions of yourself. Second, what they ‘extend’ into your environment is your process of making contact with your deeper self. You have experiences with others that seem impossible to have on your own. That’s not strictly true; but it’s easier to see certain things when they are projected outside of yourself. One of those things is how people actually grow and transform. You have seen people address some of the darkest elements of themselves, take a huge step and emerge in a different place. In some ways you’re less confident about being able to do this yourself, though the fact that you know others can and do take these steps is proof of what is possible. That is, it’s a demonstration of what is possible for you. Events early in the month in one especially important partnership will enable you to get underneath the surface layers of personality, ideas and opinions. On this deeper level, you can access authentic change where it really happens, at your emotional core.
