An Aquarian and old friend of my parents once wrote a song called You’ve Got a Friend. You’ve got more than a friend: you have a world of friends who take loving you to the level of divine passion. All you need is to accept that support and be open to receiving the gift. Saying the words may be enough but today is an excellent day to practice the ritual of receiving accepting and taking in. Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn weekly for Dec. 14, 2012.

One theme of the astrology the past few months has been about inner reality vs. outer. In a world dominated by appearances, it’s easy to forget that there is an inner reality, though you’re unlikely to be missing that fact now. The question seems to be not what you want to bring forth into the world, but how exactly you’re going to do it. Your inner space is churning with passion and pathos; with questions about your past, and an urgent desire to enter the moment you are in now. Crossing over this barrier can seem like finding your way through an invisible portal, or making your way into a parallel universe. It’s really not so difficult; ordinary circumstances will draw you out of that veiled world. Bring your feelings into your daily experience. Remember at 10 am that you’re the same person who had those thoughts, feelings and desires at 6 am when you were dreaming. Remember that you’re never separate from yourself; you are yourself.

One of the greatest turn-ons for humans in bodies and egos (that would be all of us) is a powerful sense of identification with the other; that is, with a counterpart of some kind. The planets are arranged in such a position as to make this inevitable; you are likely to see a little of yourself in everyone, including how you perceived yourself when you were younger. You may feel like you’re standing in a time machine. The thing to bear in mind is that the time is in fact right now, not yesterday. Andy Warhol once said that all sex was about nostalgia. I’ve noticed many times that this is true, but it doesn’t have to be.

It would help if you trust your own motives, and not use others as a reflecting pond to help you determine whether you are talented or legitimate. At the moment, you are unusually impressionable, and your beliefs about yourself are approximately the consistency of wet clay. Those beliefs need to come from you. We are all accustomed to looking at the world for feedback, but with rare exceptions, that feedback is superficial and off point. Mainly it does not address that the source of your confidence, if it is to be authentic, must originate from an inner source. It’s there — you just have to find it.
