Geminis take the rap for showing up everywhere in two parts but all people experience the parts phenomenon. By the time childhood is over we have an angry part a sad part a loving part a dutiful part a rebellious part all of which are conditioned to exist or not exist depending on what circumstances are appropriate and all of which are in relationship to one another. The two dominant parts that are competing now seem like sensitivity and mental alertness. But they are the same thing; each leads to the another most assuredly. Bring the two together and you will find yourself in possession of what feels like a rare gift of being one that will help you equally in your personal and your professional lives — which are of course one life.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Taurus weekly for June 13, 2002.

This week’s eclipse in your extremely sensitive second solar house (Taurus is the second sign and Gemini is its second solar house hence there is a strong resonance between Taurus and Gemini) may still have you feeling a little shaky on your pins. And though I’ve probably said this a lot of times the whole growth curve the lesson the experience here is learning to sort out what is important to you from what is not. This is the quest known as values. Values are a great mystery in a culture where most value is transacted on credit with nothing substantial behind it. But there is something very substantial behind your values if you would only take off your shoes and touch the Earth.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Aires monthly for April 23, 2015.

Pull your mind into focus and set your priorities. This will give you a sense of direction. As you move through the next few weeks, you’re likely to revise your plans many times, or more likely, rework the language you use to describe them. I suggest you not get lost in the sauce of thinking that the words you pick to describe something are more important than whatever they are designed to illustrate. Focus on your central idea and you’ll find it a lot easier to be clear. Stay close to your subject matter. At the same time, keep shifting your viewpoint, so you get a fuller panorama. Notice when your perspective gets stuck. When it does, move around and look from another angle, or through a different lens. If you find yourself arguing, argue the other side of the case as well, and then weigh and balance what you learn. Language is always a matter of experimentation, of revision, and of getting the best approximate fit between a concept and how you sketch it out. Think in terms of improvement rather than perfection. Remember that good writing is not merely about clear words but rather about expressing clear ideas. And it can take some time to get there. If you consider that you’re describing something that already exists, this process will be much easier.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Pisces weekly for January 01, 1999.

If I were a PISCES, which I am (February 19-Mar. 20) — I would take the advice of Rob Brezsny, whose kindness blew in like a fresh shore-breeze through a secret window in the universe I did not know was there, and adopt a nickname for myself (on his advice, based on the old Chinese proverb) so that I may continue to grow and prosper, a name which is The Great Kazoo, since as a small-framed Sicilian I qualify as a little green man, since I am indeed a troublemaking/troublefixing visitor from the future popping into prehistoric times, and since, in the world of Kazoos, I am indeed a great one. 1999 will be the year of watching all things good grow in their beauty, might and light, and witnessing all things evil diminish in their power to do harm.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Aires monthly for September 23, 2008.

Do you have the feeling lately that you’re trying to put the pieces of a vastly complex puzzle together, and that puzzle is you? Are you struggling with linear time, or with keeping the plotline of your life together? I had this vision of you buying a 2009 date planner but getting a copy where the pages are all in the wrong order. Meanwhile, I’m wondering what it must be like for you to communicate with the people who are the most important to you. It’s probably not so easy at the moment, and I am sure you don’t think it’s getting any easier. Some kind of blowout or emotional injury (perhaps a double blow) that occurred late last month may still be lingering and you may even fear that it’s knocked an important relationship off the rails. I suggest you take it slow, and if vaguely possible, live with the uncertainty. Try not to push matters, but rather, work with your environment. To put it simply, Mercury is retrograde in your opposite sign, Libra, and this may be scrambling all the signals that you’re trying to get straight. Under these aspects, your time and energy right now are better spent listening and gathering information. What you need to remember is your commitment to yourself and to life, and your mutual commitment with those you love. The tides will rise and fall. These remain the solid ground on which you stand.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Taurus weekly for August 10, 2012.

You may be getting the message that the time has come to focus your mind. One peculiar property of Taurus is that your intellectual talents often find themselves under the water of your powerful emotions. Resolving this is more a matter of maturity than it is of having (or not having) some innate gift. Over the next few days, you may feel what it’s like to be a mature thinker. It’s different from the usual tidal flow of your mind, or the cyclical ebb and flood of your ideas that you live with. Many factors over the past few years have guided you in the direction of the skills necessary to steer your mind a bit like how someone can use the wind and currents to guide a sailboat almost effortlessly. Remember that you actually possess the abilities that seem to manifest over the next few days, and you can access them at any time. The one thing you have to remember is that this doesn’t work as long as you let your emotions overwhelm your mind — and your mind being in charge is the point of maturity for which nothing else can substitute.

Mercury has finally entered new territory for the first time since being retrograde on Aug. 20, though the sense of being bogged down in something may have begun several weeks earlier. It’s been a while since you felt emotionally free, and you may be taking your first tentative steps in a while. Life would be easier if you didn’t critique yourself every 15 minutes. There are few places to turn for advice about how to worry less. I would suggest this: take steps where you feel like you’re on solid ground, rather than where you feel yourself sinking in. That goes for thoughts, it goes for people and it goes for actions you take to create a safer world for yourself. Everything you need to know, your mind and emotions are going to give you in direct feedback. And that will work great — as long as you listen to yourself.
