Today’s Oracle takes us to the Sagittarius weekly for June 19, 2009.

You are being called upon to give yourself totally not to any one relationship, but to every relationship. One of the big problems on our planet is that we live in a hierarchy of love. Some people are ‘more important’ than other people, and we can act in very strange ways because of this. The outcomes of this situation, however, prove the point that we really don’t know what role people have, and it’s fair to doubt that we have any discernment at all. Monday’s New Moon is calling on you to suspend all discernment and make sure that you are offering what you can to every situation you are in. I cannot tell you why, or how; I can only tell you what I am reading in the planets. You are a born humanitarian and you know it. This is not merely a dream.

Your charts are rather emotionally potent at the moment (an understatement), and I suggest you ask yourself whether you’re feeding on intensity for its own sake, or you actually have something to express. You seem to be seeking peak experiences, which isn’t unhealthy in and of itself — the question is the content of those experiences, what they offer you, and what their influence is on the environment of your relationships. Are you creating a diversion of some kind, or are you reacting to pressure within you that you don’t know how to handle? It’s possible that there’s an exaggeration effect going on; you’re perceiving others as being overly serious, and they are perceiving you as failing to see the virtue of self-control. If so, there’s some truth to the equation. I would ask, however, what is underneath all of this emotional intensity. What is driving you? What’s the source of your restlessness? You may just be reacting against gaining the emotional discipline you know you need to cultivate.

Don’t fall for a mistake you’ve made many times the past five years, which is that everyone else is liberated and open-minded and you are stuck in your ways. It is true that many factors are influencing you to take an even more conservative approach to life than usual. One of those is the fear of instability. Another is that you may lack a rational explanation (or solution) for the anxieties that weigh you down. People who are less enamored of fear and more willing to take a chance are making themselves known to you. You can just as easily make yourself known to them, and while you’re at it, I suggest you question why you would experience fear at all — especially of a person.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Leo weekly for September 10, 1999.

Venus is credited with bestowing all kinds of gifts, like beauty, abundance and sexual pleasure. But the most under-rated quality of Venus is her association with intelligence, the kind computers will never, or hopefully never, learn. It is the intelligence of knowing when things feel right because you feel good; seeing beauty as the most important form of correctness; the wisdom of accepting situations that work out the best for everyone because that is a normal (read: moral) state of affairs. More than anything, to me Venus represents the intelligence of accepting the personal gifts with which we were born, and putting them to work for us. There is no need to wait any longer.

As someone once wrote, in the empire of the senses, you are the queen of all you survey. Therefore, take total responsibility for your destiny. As the captain of your own ship, you determine where you sail. As the CEO of your own life, you set your agenda and your mission. It’s true that this is the thing everyone dreams of doing, but that so few actually accomplish. You might ask yourself whom you would be betraying if you were to step up to the challenges of living and take control. Do not fear the jealousy of others, and brush off any resentment others may project at you — or that you fear others may be harboring. To really live takes courage. You must do for yourself everything that your parents did not do. Most of all, it’s necessary to stop waiting for some moment to arrive and decide that you have arrived in this very moment, ready to embrace your existence fully.
