You can trust what you’re feeling, even (and especially) if it’s coming from below. A rare mix of factors is inviting you to feel not only safe, but free, in experiencing and expressing your deepest passions. Great confusion exists in this world between the concepts knowledge and belief. We tend to think knowledge is the trump card. Yet what we believe and wish to be true so often guides what we’re aware of. Facts can be stacked to support any pre-existing theory, which is dangerous when we have no idea what that theory is, because it was passed through ten or twenty generations before it ended up in your head in the modern world. In the highly advanced mind of an Aquarian, trained and shaped and crystallized by lifetimes of pondering, confusion such as this can lead to great difficulty in apprehending reality as it is now, and seeing opportunities to make authentic changes. Doubt can plague your creativity and your sense of justice. Life can become dull. In the past 12 months, you have faced many challenges, seemingly to what you know. Really, it’s your opinions that are being shaken, and opinions are basically trivia. What this exposes is your continued need to probe deeply, to seek, ask, and learn about what you do not know; and, at times, to face not knowing, and the possibility of never knowing. It’s better than being wrong, and far better than being right.

You may think you’re obsessing over sex or going from one emotional high to the next, and who knows what the people around you think. What I see in your solar chart is that you’re craving pleasure and healing in a way that suits your desire nature well, and that you’re actually making contact with a side of your nature you haven’t been able to reach any other way. The main risk is that of attachment to someone who is not exactly who you think they are; so while you’re exploring, make sure you leave room for the story to take any number of turns — and give yourself room to explore. Said another way, what you’re doing is diving into your experience rather than creating something designed to be ‘permanent’. The pitch of drama may be spiraling upward in some sensitive areas of your life, while your resolve spirals downward — though I suggest you train your eyes and your mind on the real issues involved, which may seem obscure unless you look closely and feel deeply. For example, it would be very useful to penetrate beneath the surface illusion of what may feel like a “relationship issue,” and consider how what is happening in reality does not involve anyone else at all, at least not as a major factor. You are most definitely in a legitimate period of going through changes, and for that you need your space and your freedom. Remember that it’s natural to struggle with personal decisions, though within a few days you’ll be a bunch more clear about just what it is you’re deciding.

It’s not that there are no limits. Everyone knows there are. It is, however, true that you’re here to find out what those limits are, and what you can do with them. And that is something you’re content to call freedom. Okay, that plus a little pushing the edge for fun and profit. You have a very effective guardrail, known as your values system. You see, not everyone has the benefit of this. No, I cannot generalize for every Sagittarius on the planet, but I feel confident enough to say this to you now. There is nothing more reliable to you than what you really know is right. Contrary to some perceptions, on that deep level of cognition and assessment, you’re careful, clear with yourself and you like to keep the issues separate. I suggest that you offer more of this side of yourself to the world. It won’t tarnish your image as one who is alive to enjoy life.

Your professional environment is changing rapidly. Certain things are showing up that seem to be setbacks; other developments appear to be helpful. For the moment, I suggest you not make up your mind about which is which and what is what. At this point, anything can have any influence. I suggest you take a deliberative approach and allow every influence to reveal its true nature in the long term, rather than assigning it a role straight away. You need to observe more than just your thoughts. Observe the things that people say and what they do; look at how things that seem inconvenient one day turn out to be surprisingly helpful a little while later. While you’re at it, take it easy on yourself: you have become a more impressive taskmaster than usual. I dare say that cracking the whip is not quite in line with your greater vision.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Taurus monthly for Feb. 23, 2010

Stop hopping and walk on both feet. Just because you don’t know something doesn’t mean you won’t find the solution; to the contrary, you’re all the more likely to discover it because you know that you don’t know. As usual, the main thing standing between you and your own intelligence is fear. I don’t think you’ve quite discovered that rather than solving anything, fear scatters your intelligence and shatters your confidence. In case you ‘get that intellectually’ but need it explained to you on another level, fear is simply negative expectation. Such never creates a positive outcome. Something else always does. The calculus that you tend to run is: if something changes, the change will be for the worse. Therefore, it’s better not to change. This, consequently, blocks your eagerly-wished-for or sought-after progress. Frankly, this is a lame excuse not to make your life a better place. Those steps begin with committing to guiding your life with something besides insecurity. What would that something be? Tangible, focused, unfettered desire. Set a goal and work for it. It does not matter what — as long as it’s something you want specifically. For example, don’t try to ‘get a job’, aim for exactly the work you want to do. Focus your intentions; know what you want, and act on it. This will take up all that space that fear was taking from you.
