Creative ideas are one thing, and creative action is another. Ideas are great because they cannot fail. They simply are. Actions are more challenging; the potential for loss and failure is very much a reality, and one’s confidence is tested. As we all know, they are two very different things, for which reason many people propose fantasy is best left as such. That all having been said, the time is fast approaching for you to begin converting your creative ideas into daily routines. To do so, you will need to begin. Today’s Oracle takes us to the Gemini weekly for Jan. 20, 2012.

The issue of whether you feel safe on the planet is the essence of the forthcoming astrology. In our time of history, when it’s impossible to feel too threatened and when there’s no such thing as a long enough password, and when (as The Onion put it recently) 98% of Americans are afraid of 98% of Americans, feeling safe is an act of faith. Fortunately, that’s the very door that’s opening for you right now. Ultimately, all the reasons you can give yourself for not thinking you have enough, or contemplating all that could go wrong if you take action, or all the seemingly external pressure you’re under, add up to very little. You will end up trusting your situation because you don’t have any other choice. Now, if you can work backwards from there, you will see that you have more reasons to trust what is actually true than to trust your anxiety, which only misleads you.

Something has shifted in the romantic saga known as your relationships; or is it, rather, an unromantic saga? We all know that relationships are for learning and growing (blah blah) but there does come a point where there needs to be, well, something more. We do need to observe this something more carefully; we want real fruit, not faux; we want true feelings, not any shabby substitutes. Chiron’s recent return to direct motion signals resuming communication with someone important who had dropped out of your life. Venus, warming up to a retrograde in Scorpio, your solar Fifth House, says quite the same thing, though potentially reaching further back into the past. Other factors suggest you can clear out some emotional junk that is taking up good space in the hearth and home known as your heart. Light the fire, and burn some old papers.

You’re guided by a long term vision, and that’s going to get you quite far in the world; listen for inner messages about what is waiting for you off in the distances of space and time. But the more pressing matter is to watch in front of your feet and in your mirrors, and to feel what your gut is telling you from moment to moment. In most circumstances of life you are the one with the clearest awareness, and this is no exception.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Taurus weekly for July 20, 2012.

You may be feeling the desire to cut loose — to do all the things you might not ordinarily do, because your boundaries are too firm (or said less politely, because you’re wound a bit too tight to try). Remember that this is an emotional impulse rather than, say, an intellectual one. Tapping into it will require that you let go of one of your ideas about what it means to be safe — or rather, one of your false ideas. People make up a lot of ritualistic notions about what protects them, ranging from their lucky T-shirt to not having sex before the third date. Try to be mindful of when you’re leaning on something like this. There’s also something about the fear of consequences based on a past situation that seemed similar. Yet does it really apply? And were the consequences that bad? Anyway — all of this may end up being academic, as you follow an impulse to set yourself free. Remember to keep some condoms and the number of a taxicab company in your pocket.

Life is not a war and it’s not a struggle for survival — or at least it does not have to be. Of course, just because you know this doesn’t mean there aren’t many others with a bunker mentality. Here is what: don’t get caught in it. You’re a lot better off reasoning with yourself than you are trying to reason with others who don’t see the point to engaging their creativity. However, if you listen and feel your way carefully through the world, you’re likely to meet one person with a gleaming, open mind. It may be a child and/or may be someone considerably younger than you. From that conversation, you could learn quite a lot, but mainly you will have an example of someone who is simply open to truth, whatever that truth turns out to be.
