If you tune in carefully to your perceptions, though, you may not only feel the ringing of a sweet desire for the past, but also the distinct sense of being a person from the future visiting the present and longing for the quaint good old days which are otherwise known as NOW. Well, it happens to be now now, and all you have to do is enjoy it while you’re actually here, not astral projecting over your shoulder from the 21st century wishing you had done something different.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Pisces weekly for May 25, 2011.

I know I’m a writer and this is probably the best horoscope that (as a Pisces) I could write for myself. I also know how many people dearly, deeply want to express themselves in writing and just cannot, for whatever reason, bring themselves to do it. Jupiter changing signs is very, very good for writing. It’s even better for ideas. Much of that goodness will come in the form of recognizing the pleasure of the exchange between ideas and their expression. The thing to focus on is the pleasure and sensuality of your intellectual process. Many writers of yore, and I do suppose a few writers of today, imbibe alcohol as part of the writing process specifically to loosen up and experience that sensuality. While I don’t accept or strive for purity in any form, let’s use alcohol as a metaphor for inspiration. Jupiter is associated with comfort, so work in a comfortable space. It’s associated with imagery, so explore that, in the form of images you love and images that you create. Jupiter is associated with anything international, so bring that into the scene. Jupiter is associated with indulgence, so be sure to indulge what you really, truly want to write, and if you don’t know dive into an experiment and have fun doing it. One last: Jupiter is associated with big libraries. Some time in the next few weeks, get yourself to one of those, so you start this transit off right. And as for wine, all hail the great god Dionysus.

You don’t need to worry whether you are getting through to someone; you are, because you understand, from a deep place based on internal references, what it means to exist in a condition of enforced emotional growth. You understand what it means to have been pushed to maturity beyond your years. By your awareness alone you have the ability to lighten the burden of someone close to you. There is nothing you must do, nothing you must say: if you merely listen and understand, the world will move, just enough.

I trust that by now you’ve figured out that there’s no point resisting progress. You’re growing, you’re maturing, and you’re being called to bigger and better things than you may have ever dreamed possible. Yet this is not a fairytale; you’re living an actual journey of maturity, which has many elements. One of them is fully embracing adult responsibility. Another is hearing the call to leadership. Yet another is recognizing that time is finite, which is another way of saying that you must use time as your ally rather than treating it as an enemy. Time is a resource, and it’s one that you have the ability to use wisely. One way to avoid wasting time is to invest your energy in who and what is present in your life now, rather than obsessing over the past. The past leads nowhere; the present will lead you into the future.

It would appear that a certain odd energy has worked its way into your home over the past year, but as events of the next four or five weeks unfold, you’ll have a much better sense of what it is. Meanwhile, be on the lookout for clues that someone is rebelling against you, or your role in their life. Encourage them to talk sooner rather than later. Or, you could just wait and watch what unfolds, but remember not to act too surprised when the silent tongue speaks. Some people have strange ways of expressing love. You will probably need to do some translating.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Virgo weekly for Feb. 4, 2011.

By the time you convince yourself that it’s okay to really get involved in a rapidly developing situation, the action may have subsided. I understand that your commitment is a precious thing, though this preciousness also provides a cover story for a kind of annoying reticence that you’ve long had to contend with. What you’re really committing to is having an opinion or idea that you’re willing to state openly rather than merely contemplate. You may be concerned that if you say anything directly, you won’t be allowed to change your mind. That’s not true, but you’ll just need to say that’s what you’re doing. Closer to home is why you wonder so much what people might think about what you think. Once you call back the projection, you’ll see that this is nothing other than self-doubt. And the only thing you can do about that is take a chance on your own intelligence.

Be mindful that you’re being influenced by people and circumstances now, which will factor into a decision you make later in the month. You need to be aware of the current influences, so that you know what is guiding your choices. One influence is more obvious than the other; and you may think it a “bad thing.” The other influence is invisible, potentially based on some form of deception, denial or foggy thinking, and if you do notice the influence, it may seem like a “good thing.” Beware if you find yourself making a sudden choice without substantiation, or based on facts you don’t really understand.
