While someone close to you is going through what appears to be a deeply emotional time, their situation is not as complicated as you may think. You can help by perceiving things as being a spiritual transition rather than a crisis of any kind. One thing is for sure: they need the space to process things their way, so no matter what you may see, feel or understand, I suggest standing back, being available, but generally not getting too involved. Trust that they will speak and seek assistance when they need to, though don’t be offended if it’s not from you.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Leo weekly for Aug. 3, 2012.

Over the next few days, you have access to a power source that may seem like an infinite well of creativity. This is so potent you may want to approach it with respect. One way you can do that is to avoid acting on a rebellious impulse. And while I am normally an advocate of curiosity, I suggest that you monitor that particular thought form with care and caution as the week progresses. Your curiosity is so powerful right now that you have to handle it with the care of a laser. It’s a force that can activate all kinds of processes, including some that you may not find so easy to bring under control. Therefore, in addition to curiosity, I suggest you monitor your motives, and that you be clear what you want to learn, experience or discover. You also need to do something that’s exceedingly difficult for most humans, which is monitor when your judgment may be off, or when you may be working with incomplete information. When either of those conditions is true, pause.

The thing about doing very intense growth work is that it’s not always so healthy. New possibilities can become an obsession that takes your mind off of the present. One “solution” after the next can fail to fulfill its empty or tremendous promises. Going to the cosmic blacksmith’s shop and putting your soul in the fire can hurt. There is a risk, and risk means the possibility not just of failure, but of loss. And yet finally admitting that “I will always be this way until I change” can come as a huge relief. I don’t know where you stand on any of these issues, but it’s a good week to check them out, while pondering the mantra, “Transformation is inevitable.”

You seem to be working a particular edge of your presence in the world. The feeling is something like ‘this is so new and strange, but I’m sure I’ve been here before’. Both are true. I want to suggest something bold, which is that you’re currently in the midst of a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual initiation. This is the challenging, painful, beautiful, interesting and necessary process of emerging into the world as the person you always knew you were inside. This may feel tentative and subtle at times, bold and inevitable at others. In this stage, the most meaningful thing is not what you accomplish or do in the world — rather, it’s tuning your perceptions and responses to a new frequency and feeling tone. For the moment, life is all about how you respond to it. You may notice yourself easing out of any competitive tendencies into more collaborative ones. You may be noticing the prevailing fear-based consensus reality for what it is — and in the same gesture understanding that this is simply not your way. Note that how you distinguish yourself and your individual nervous system from the toxic cloud of anxiety is by becoming more sensitive, not less. I know this feels like a big gamble in a world where so many people seem poised to assault at the least opportunity. Part of your evolutionary mission is to be on the forefront of people who actually feel safe on the planet.

It was Andy Warhol who said that all sex is about nostalgia. Aspects for the week may have you pondering the true wisdom of his sardonic quip. If you tune in carefully to your perceptions, though, you may not only feel the ringing of a sweet desire for the past, but also the distinct sense of being a person from the future visiting the present and longing for the quaint good old days which are otherwise known as NOW. Well, it happens to be now now, and all you have to do is enjoy it while you’re actually here, not astral projecting over your shoulder from the 21st century wishing you had done something different.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Aquarius weekly for Feb. 12, 2010.

It would be difficult to overstate what a visionary moment this is for you, but I’m going to understate my interpretation so you’re more likely to take it on board. We know how long it takes for a human to awaken to his or her vitality, present consciousness or simple truth. Astrologers, therapists, spiritual teachers and hospice workers see people waking up in late years or last moments of their lives, grateful for having done so. You’re getting to wake up long before ‘the end’, but the shift you’re moving through is indeed an ending. I suggest you not be so eager for a new beginning. Nature really does abhor a vacuum, so you don’t have to be concerned: for now I suggest you let the past drain out of your system, and focus on holding yourself open in ways you actually believed were impossible.

You may feel like you’re in strange territory but if that’s true you have plenty of support while you’re there. The opposite of old is new and for all the energy you’ve put into resolving the past and setting yourself free you now get the reward of an entirely changed outlook. What you go through the next few weeks is evidence of how much the world can change when you change your mind. Yet if that’s true prepare for world after world to arise before your eyes because that’s how fast the inner changes are dawning. It’s really as if you’re being born again every hour.
