To be an artist, it helps if you direct your financial and creative resources into your creative process. To be a lover, it helps if you choose love and allow conflict and judgment to dissolve like dust. To be an adventurer, you step outside of your home. To take a risk, there’s an essential element of being willing to let go of something ‘safe’ for the mere potential of experiencing something better. There is an element of sacrifice in each of these ideas, but it’s not sacrifice the way we usually think of it. In the true sense, it’s the process of transforming what does not serve us into what does. It’s about giving up what we don’t want in exchange for what we do, and part of that is releasing our attachment to what is not actually helpful. These attachments all have stories, which are like energy roots that we can let go of — if we use full awareness, and more to the point, if we really want to.

Just whose rules you’ve been living under for so long would make an excellent topic for a personal investigation. Now that you don’t have to dance to anyone’s choreography but your own particularly inside your own front door it would be an equally valid question whose rules you’re living under now. The overall message that it’s your job to take charge of both your home and your creative process — yours and nobody else’s — is pouring through the cosmos now. But please notice when you dare to live differently or to do something different whose mental voice chimes in? Isn’t that really interesting?

The intangible may be so real you can hold it in your hands; give it a chance to become so. Seek with the faith that you will find, and feel with the faith that you will experience fulfillment as a result. Remember that the richest territory for you is interior, regardless of how expressive or interesting your life is now. What you are firming up is your ability to be a container, and therefore to feel full. You cannot hold energy if you don’t have the ability for some kind of psychic containment; you cannot share if you don’t have enough for yourself. These are old problems that you’re finally able to remedy. That planets at times may seem to be playing a game of paradox with you, and at at times you may be feeling deeply mixed emotions. Stick with your feelings and discover the win-win: the more you have, the more you can give; the more you have, the more people give to you. Try to get this one down; it’s a keeper.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Pisces weekly for March 4, 2011.

Have you ever wondered why same-sex relationships and erotic contact are considered taboo? I know the Bible has a few things to say about that and eating shellfish. I mean, have you ever really tried to figure it out? I suggest you give it a try. Why is it considered the unholiest of things, to the point where constitutional amendments get passed by freaked-out voters? Bisexuality can become an issue in hetero couples, people can have misgivings about their bi fantasies, and there is often considerable fear and shame about any of this being known. But — why? That’s the question of the week. It may be the question of the month and indeed of the century. I have my theories, which I will share with you in a future entry. For now I want to hear yours, particularly regarding what comes up during the Pisces New Moon today and this weekend.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Virgo weekly for Dec. 20, 2013.

You seem to be experiencing boldness and hesitancy at the same time. The combination, if left unaddressed, could create delays and waste energy; there’s no point spinning your wheels to get nowhere. And you have plenty of places to go, and experiences you want to have. If you have any form of mixed feelings, take the elements in the mix one at a time and see what they are trying to tell you. See if you can notice your source. The self-assertiveness you’re feeling does indeed seem to be about you; the insecurity and hesitancy seems to be coming from somewhere else, perhaps even someone’s influence from the deep past. It would not vaguely surprise me if that turned out to involve another person’s religious baggage that was leaking into your environment. In plain terms, you don’t have to worry about what others will think. You don’t have to be pure or give the image of being ‘not a slut’ to project some kind of faux conservatism. What you feel is more meaningful than what anyone else thinks.

If you tune in carefully to your perceptions, though, you may not only feel the ringing of a sweet desire for the past, but also the distinct sense of being a person from the future visiting the present and longing for the quaint good old days which are otherwise known as NOW. Well, it happens to be now now, and all you have to do is enjoy it while you’re actually here, not astral projecting over your shoulder from the 21st century wishing you had done something different.

You may be contemplating your reputation. Don’t worry: it’s the best. Perfection is not a value, so we all fall somewhere on the scale of less than everything. Thing is that some of us wear it better than others, and you happen to be a fashion plate. People are not determining whether they trust you based on certain ideas you may have about yourself; nobody else can see them. People see you functioning in the larger world, existing as a genuine presence, a negotiable human and the source of a lot of energy. You do a pretty good job of projecting that into your relationships. But shortly you may be asked to explain something about yourself that would be very apropos of the moment. Current aspects show you may be feeling less than fully secure. But you are not being accused of anything.
