It’s natural to have periods in your life when you need to slow down, as well as those during which you work harder and achieve more. Mercury (the planet of mind and communication) makes a conjunction to the asteroid Pallas (reason, political strategy) in Scorpio today. Although Scorpio is a water sign related to the emotions, Pallas describes a less emotional, more detached ability to broach certain topics.
