The Day of Heaven and Hell: Birthdays and Planet News

Mercury stations retrograde today in the last degree of Pisces — which is also the final degree of the entire zodiac. All retrogrades tend to imply a phase of review; this Mercury retrograde highlights that theme particularly strongly.

Work patiently toward your next breakthrough. You will get there. What you’re striving to accomplish isn’t the sort of endeavor that can be completed in a week, because it’s the type that’s hard-won and built to endure, rare and precious, and well worth the effort. Along the way, you are re-creating yourself, gaining strength and depth, and growing into the next phase of your life. Keep going.

Mercury stations retrograde today in the last degree of Pisces — which is also the final degree of the entire zodiac. All retrogrades tend to imply a phase of review; this Mercury retrograde highlights that theme particularly strongly. There’s an inward emphasis on past emotions and beliefs, and the thought processes and decisions influenced by those emotions and beliefs. The question is: in this busy, hyper-digital, social-media-saturated (and therefore externalized) world, do you remember how to give yourself the time and space to reflect deeply?

Neptune’s conjunction to the asteroid Vesta today (which will also be conjunct tomorrow’s Pisces New Moon) underlines this idea of holding space for yourself, and the beliefs you might have about that. (For example, do you believe you have a right to give that to yourself and set some boundaries around it? Do you believe doing so has value and purpose? Do you feel a sense of purpose in holding space for others to be introspective?) With Uranus entering Taurus tomorrow — and the New Moon a few hours later — giving yourself room to notice what’s new, unusual or compelling could prove especially informative now. Taking your time today — even with basic tasks like writing your to-do list, leaving the house, or driving to work — should help keep hiccups to a minimum, and allow you to make corrections with less stress.
