Earlier this morning was the Aquarius Full Moon just after 5:26 am EDT (9:26:31 UTC). If you’ve been noticing a sense of pressure or a deadlocked situation (especially between the beliefs or needs of a group and yours as an individual), you should sense it easing off today.
As Eric describes in this week’s Planet Waves TV and Planet Waves FM broadcasts, this morning’s Full Moon made contact with several other planets around the zodiac.
It’s a scenario with a lot of moving parts. Many of those parts continue to be in contact with one another, and factor into upcoming significant events that will come in and out of emphasis, and therefore in and out of your consciousness.
In fact, looking at the charts as we move into the weekend, I see a short-term aspect — part of the larger ongoing pattern — that was embodied by a chance encounter I had Monday.
At the corner store, I ran into a woman I have not seen in almost a year, since losing her beloved neighborhood business (due to a very mean-spirited real-estate deal by her landlady). She recounted some difficult experiences from the past year, and the grieving process over her business (which had been part of her life’s dream). Then she segued into describing some beautiful creative endeavors she’s getting underway that could have some real momentum.
I don’t know her chart, but we did discuss the role of Chiron: to make us aware of what needs our attention so that we might focus on new steps toward healing it, and perhaps documenting the process.
Then I looked at the current astrology. Exact tomorrow (Aug. 19), Mercury in Virgo opposes Chiron in Pisces (8:07 am EDT / 12:07 UTC), and then squares Pholus in Sagittarius (7:23 pm EDT / 23:53 UTC). Jupiter is just one degree ahead of Mercury in Virgo, so it’s in the mix, too.
Jupiter paired with Mercury in Virgo offers the willingness to really work for what you want, and the stability of mind to keep the steps you take practical. But opposite Chiron in Pisces, that willingness to work might be met by a reminder of how your creativity, your faith in humanity or your empathy have been hurt in the past.
Taking my encounter Monday as an example, you might meet someone who mirrors that back to you in some way — whether through their own life, or through the way their presence gets you thinking and talking about yours.
So what’s Pholus in Sagittarius doing square those two sides of the equation? It’s offering to light your fire so you can get moving on the tasks at hand. A little spark will go a long way — but the direction you choose will be influenced by your beliefs.
Do you believe that every problem has a solution (and probably several)? Do you believe you can take responsibility for your healing, or are you focused on placing blame for your pain? Do you believe that somehow, at some point, even if you need a lot of help and support (which most of us do), you can use all of this experience as fodder or fuel on your way to reclaiming your life and re-creating it?
Even if your answers are no, here’s the beautiful thing: beliefs are subject to change. And with all that’s moving in the sky and in your life, you never know what will suddenly show you an option you did not see before. If you see only one or two possibilities, consider leaning on Mercury and Jupiter to create another one. Start with that first item on your to-do list, no matter how pedestrian or unrelated it might seem, and let the next step emerge.
Thank you, lovely Amanda.
Oh Amanda, I can’t tell you (well, I probably could but this is not the place, nor is that my way) how timely and helpful this is. Thank you!
Martha — so grateful to know this piece was well-timed and helpful! I have been offline for the last week, but I hope things have been progressing constructively for you.
Me, too, Martha… Albeit I shan’t resist sharing a check-out line event at/near 10 a.m. CDT today… Clerk saw the guy waiting as I said no, what she’d just told me isn’t “shameful” or “bad” — I’d paid for my item so stepped aside — saw a compelling IGY6 tatoo on his arm. Asked. He replied, “I Got Your Back.” He had it done to honor a PTSD vet friend who’d chosen suicide — it’s his message to any/all with PTSD, to all grieving such mega-losses (and, two he’d not known existed until today).
We’d silenced as he succinctly shared each symbol, color, role — with one clerk and me, to hear. The “6” reminded me of one curled in a fetal position, in such devastating distress they’d end-it. Amazingly simple, symbolic and timely… My “dharma” is to serve as wind beneath others’ wings, talk the suicidal off thin ledges, be on-call 24×7 as others’ Aghast Buster during life-crises events.
Store clerk is one I’ve “counseled” since 2005. Today’s event was an affirmation she’ll appreciate, esp after hearing me tell her (for these eleven years), “ALL good occurs in right-perfect timing…” ! His art-info took maybe 5-7 min, and no, I didn’t ask about the K9 on his black tee’s left shoulder. Two have mentioned “a new cop” they/theirs can trust… If this was him, our tiny town is blessed!
Sus’n — I have no idea what IGY6 means, but the parts of your story I could catch are beautiful and compelling! Thank you for sharing it here — it does seem perfectly in line with the astrological themes I wrote about, and shares some qualities with my own encounter.
“ALL good occurs in right-perfect timing…”
Indeed! Easy to forget it, but such a blessing when we remember/notice how true it is.
