Keeping the eyes slightly above toward the horizon keeps one from getting dragged into momentary ego battles that often have more to do with expressing desire than anything malicious. Everyone wants the job done well; everyone wants respect; ultimately everyone wants unity and to feel a part of something greater than themselves alone. That’s the harnessing point.
