Today’s Oracle takes us to the Sagittarius weekly for February 8, 2016.

You cannot reason your way out of all fear. At a certain point you must address anxiety as its own subject. Because so few things that we fear actually go wrong, you can safely treat fear as an emotion, rather than as a prediction or premonition. This is a crucial distinction to make, because if fear has relevance, it’s about the thing that you fear coming to pass. It looks like your concerns may center around control of some kind, such as over the behavior of a partner. If you find yourself keeping score, I would propose that this is not helpful. Ditto if you find yourself keeping secrets. I suggest that you would benefit from being honest with yourself — and then with intimate partners — about what is truly important to you. Right now, honesty and transparency are your best friends.

The Saturn-Pluto conjunction is separating, but still strongly influencing our experience. While this event will happen two or three times in the lives of most people, this particular instance is a moment of convergence and reckoning for the world and for us as individuals.

You are facing an odd opportunity to work with both your highly individualistic drive to do everything your way for yourself, and a distant, perhaps potent calling to serve the needs of certain people in the world, whether it’s good for them (or you) or not. I suggest you stick to your own agenda. It’s entirely more honest and is the actual source of benefit for the world around you. You will get a lot more done, and you obviously have a lot, in fact, to get done. That so much in your life feels poised for sudden rearrangement need not slow you down or deter your course of action. What counts the most always changes in form and sometimes in content, and the only way to know how you really feel about what you want is to make it real and test out that reality. It is fair enough to say that what is most important to you has the greatest chance of happening. Remember that in your moments of doubt.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Virgo monthly for March 2, 2009.

You seem to be so busy with commitments that you don’t have time to explore. Therefore, when someone arrives and gives you an opportunity to do just that, I suggest you make time and space. More to the point, make being available a priority. I mean really available, unplugged and potentially undressed; but mainly psychologically and spiritually available. Far to the contrary of what most “on the go” types say, this is an option, and usually we opt out by being too busy because we don’t want to be vulnerable. Remember, being open to pleasure means being open to pain. Being open to love means being open to fear.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn monthly for June 25, 2015.

You have the strength of your convictions — but as Robert Anton Wilson said, convictions make convicts. What would benefit you and close partners the most is your flexibility — such as working with options rather than all-or-nothing scenarios. You will benefit from having alternatives around the timing of certain things you want to happen. And it includes taking an open-ended approach to resolving apparent conflicts. While there may be some sparks flying, most of the friction is coming from inside of you. For the next couple of months, your ruling planet Saturn is making a final return to Scorpio before moving on to Sagittarius for a two-year stay. This shift is helping you see all that you’ve left unsaid. This includes the implications of information you’ve gathered that you have not taken fully on board, much less shared with others. You are entering a time in your life when you can afford to have no secrets — by which I mean no secrets in intimate situations. Indeed, your willingness to reveal yourself is the measure of your desire to be close to others. Now is the time to push your luck. You have plenty of it, and you will invoke it through a process of taking creative risks. These may be social in nature, or artistic; you may have a chance to pursue an increase in income, but not with the predictability of a two dollar per hour raise. If you allow a little element of so-called danger into your life, you’re creating an opening for positive developments, rather than what you may perceive as fearful ones. If you look back at your life over a long period of time, such as 10 years or so, you will notice that you have been involved in a gradual awakening from a sleep you often did not know you were in. Your dreams were not entirely pleasant, but you’ve learned something about yourself that you can apply now that you are fully awake.

Mars has barely moved since stationing direct a few weeks ago, though what little movement there has been suggests you are working out a profound question about what you want. Desires are problematic because they always seem to have competition. It can be internal (I want that, but do I want that other thing/person more?) or external (I want that, but what does this other person think?). You seem to be going through these questions in phases that are confronting you with the split that you carry around in your mind. And herein resides the main issue. When we exist with some kind of division, it’s not necessarily apparent looking from one side or the other. The time you really feel an inner division is when you’re aware of both sides at once, which is uncomfortable. You’re a little past the point of being able to pretend that one side or the other does not exist; paraphrasing Rilke, you need to stretch yourself across the contradiction.

I have not mentioned that a new planet, a rather special new planet, was recently discovered in your sign. There have been many recent discoveries beyond the orbit of Pluto, but the one of which I speak — Quaoar — is distinguished by being the largest planetary discovery since Pluto in 1930. According to http://www.Karmastrology.com, “The name Quaoar comes from the creation mythology of the Tongva people, the indigenous inhabitants of what is today the Los Angeles area of Southern California. The Tongva lived there peacefully for hundreds if not thousands of years before the Europeans first arrived in the 1600s.” The site quotes Mark Acuna, Tongva scholar, dancer and tribal elder: “‘Quaoar’, the great force of creation, sings and dances the high ones (Deities) into existence. While Quaoar has no form or gender he is usually referred to with the male pronoun. He dances and sings first ‘Weywot’ who becomes Sky Father; they sing and dance ‘Chehooit’ Earth Mother into existence. The trio sing ‘Tamit’ Grandfather Sun to life. As each divine one joins the singing and dancing, the song becomes more complex and the dance more complicated.” I’ll have to remember to ask about this in church on Sunday. Anyway, The Clash used to say “Know your rights.” I would say: Know Your Creation Myth — so you can live it.

As the Sun moves through the final degrees of your sign, it’s making an aspect to Neptune in Aquarius — a square, which implies tension, emotional conflict and the sensation of not knowing what’s true. This looks like a playback of confusion you’ve experienced many times before, particularly around your birthday. If you’ve never quite arrived at the point where the confusion became your teacher, now is a great moment to let it be just that. The space of not knowing is a vital one to enter fully. Usually we react with denial, which often comes in the form of false certainty. The thing you want to watch out for these days is false uncertainty. You know you’re pushing certain issues a little more than some people who say they like you would prefer. Don’t worry about being popular. Don’t argue for your cause. Pause and walk away before you respond or react in an emphatic way. You may think that others challenge you at their own risk, but if you overreact, the peril is yours and yours alone.
