The Sun is in late Virgo for this lunation, opposite the Moon in late Pisces, making this the last Full Moon before the equinox, when the Sun changes signs to Libra. That underlying sense of an upcoming seasonal shift is in the background of everything else going on this week.
The Full Moon will be conjunct a newly discovered planet (discovered in 2004) called Salacia. When newly discovered planets are so closely involved with lunar and solar events, we often get to see some kind of literal manifestation of their associated themes.
Salacia was a water nymph in myth. Neptune, god of the seas, fell in love with her — but she eluded him, hiding until he sent a dolphin to convince her to marry him. When she did, she became the goddess of the seas — particularly of calm waters. The days leading to a Full Moon often feel anything but ‘calm’ for many people, though it may be that Salacia’s influence will be felt as the Full Moon resolves any tense stalemates in your life.
This Full Moon also carries a signature of ‘vastness’, contributed by several factors. Salacia is associated with the seas. Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac, is also associated with oceans, and it’s a culmination of the preceding 11 signs. The Moon and Sun will both be square the Galactic Center in Sagittarius: the elusive heart of our galaxy, bringing a theme of ‘cosmic vastness’.
The oceans and the cosmos can feel a little overwhelming, as can the tension of any Full Moon. With Salacia in the picture so precisely, you might notice a little serenity entering the picture as the Full Moon culminates. Keep your eyes open for the messenger; it may come in an unexpected form.
To read Genevieve’s horoscopes, it helps to know your Moon sign (where the Moon was at the moment of your birth), which you can find out by entering your birth data into Serennu.com. It helps to have your birth time but often that’s not necessary. You can also read these horoscopes for your Sun and rising signs for additional insight.

Pisces Full Moon Moonshine Horoscopes | By Genevieve Hathaway
Aries (March 20-April 19) — You are experiencing feelings you may not have made contact with for quite some time. Emotions can be slippery things, not always easy to define or communicate. I suggest you try to nail down what you are working through rather than avoid confronting these feelings, no matter how hard to pin down they may feel. You are gaining insight into how a religious idea or philosophy you were exposed to at an early age has dictated how you manage and interact with your feelings. By acknowledging the influence this has had on you, you will be able to consciously choose how you approach your emotions in the future. This will let you decide on a response that is in tune with your own belief system, rather than unconscious habits. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Recently, you may have felt like you had less control than usual over who was in your network. In fact just the opposite is true — you can’t control people’s actions and their choices, but you do get to decide with whom you invest your time. At the moment, you are being called to take steps to invest your energy in those groups and individuals who nourish you emotionally. Remember, you can’t force people to do what you want, but you can lay out the rules of engagement. You are working with quite a few options regarding who you allow into your network. As you meet new people, begin this selection process by checking in with your values, then seeing if the other person’s values and priorities match yours. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Gemini (May 20-June 21) — A new career opportunity is arising that is calling on you to take action. It may feel as though you have two competing decisions and the easier road is just to see how things unfold. I propose instead that you are in a moment of decision-making. You are being called to show up and choose the direction of your life. What we often refer to as your ‘calling in life’ is itself a call to act based on who you are at your very core. As you apply all facts of who you are to the work that you do and the steps you are taking, notice any sensations of deep satisfaction that resonate within you. This is a sign that you are in line with your genuine inner self and making decisions that are based on your highest calling. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Cancer (June 21-July 22) — During the Pisces Full Moon, the astrology is highlighting your mother’s inner trip and how it affected your viewpoint on existence. Mothers can have a profound impact on our lives, even when they are no longer with us. You are making contact with how she viewed reality, particularly her emotional distortions and projections. As you peel back the complex layers of what your mom did or did not do to honor her authenticity, you will learn much about how this colored your outlook on life and your attitudes toward yourself. Remember that your personal attitude toward living the life that is right for you is just that — based on who you are in all your uniqueness. You are covering much ground in separating what is authentically true for you from any projections your mother may have placed on you. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Your Moon sign is quite resourceful. To fully tap into all those resources you need a full assessment of all that is available to you, as well as the shared resources at your disposal. You are gaining clarity around some shared resources that you may not have thought in the past you had access to. I suggest taking note of how much influence you actually do have over these resources. As you assess how you can utilize them, be conscious of any power-struggle dynamics that develop. You don’t need to engage with anyone who is trying to gain this type of control. Rather, do what you do best — operating from a place of knowing what you want and who you are. Focus on what you know to be true and others involved in your agreements and collaborative projects will follow you. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — This week’s Full Moon in Pisces is taking place in the area of the zodiac that is opposite your Moon sign. The sky is highlighting the dynamic between you and a close partner. Questions of whether your needs are being met may arise now. Getting your needs met in a relationship requires clearly stating what you want. Think of this in terms of having a clear internal ‘yes’ and ‘no’ and vocalizing that inner message. You can’t control how a partner responds, but you can at least ensure that they are operating with all the important information to fully support you. Consider this a work in progress, continually refining it as you and others explore what language conveys what you desire and what actions need to be taken. As you communicate some of your core needs, trust that partners are both listening and trying to meet them. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — You are in a moment of setting some key patterns involving your emotional and physical health. I propose an idea — that balanced living actually starts with taking care of you first. When you are emotionally and physically nourished and cared for you will have more to give to others. The patterns you begin now will carry you for a long time. What you are building can be thought of as holistic living — taking into account the whole rather than just the individual parts. As you make small changes to your approach, notice how they have a larger impact on your overall health. With a replenishing well of energy, you’ll be better able to smoothly keep yourself feeling good and have an overabundance of creativity to share with others and your most important projects. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — This week over the Pisces Full Moon, you are getting a burst of creative energy. You may feel more drawn to your art room or creative space to pour your time and energy into a project. I suggest utilizing this drive and outpouring of ideas to make marked headway with a particular project. As you apply your creativity and innovation, there may be the sensation that what you are doing is a bit bold, if not dangerous. I suggest you not let this deter you, but rather see it as a sign you are moving in the right direction. These feelings come when you are in unchartered territory. What you are developing is needed in the world. Maintain that vision and let it guide you as you devote your personal creative fire to what you are building. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — You are connecting the dots in how patterns of independence have either helped or impeded you from reaching a grounded sense of inner strength and security. How does freedom support your authentic self or become a crutch designed to protect you from being real and vulnerable? I’m referring to the feeling of pure connection with like-minded people rather than being protected by building large, impenetrable walls. The latter is designed to keep people out while the former builds strength and safety from a support network. What you are sorting out is the fine line between the two and how to navigate the balancing act. As you acknowledge what has worked and what has not, you will be able to shift your patterns to build a sense of security based on strong connections with those close individuals around you. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — At the moment, your intuition is particularly sharp, providing you with an extra level of information in your arrangements and communications with others. Those around you are pushing to take a leap, even though they don’t seem to be operating with all the information. You are in a position where information will be coming to you in the form of emotional clues. You can also think of this as listening to your gut, using it as sort of a Geiger counter that will lead you to the information you need. As you connect the dots, apply patience; it will take some time for the whole picture to come into focus. Once you can see the whole landscape you’ll be in an excellent position to lead the endeavor forward, taking in all calculated risks. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — The Pisces Full Moon is taking place in the area of your chart that has to do with how you feel about who you are. You can also think of this as self-esteem. Feeling good about who you are on a weekly, daily, hourly basis is an important component to happiness. At times, your self-esteem may feel particularly slippery. It’s tangible one moment, and the next it’s too wispy to grab hold of. This week’s Full Moon is drawing attention to this feeling, making it easier for you to see clearly any issues that may have been blocking you from living with a fuller sense of self-esteem. What is on offer is a chance to clear out these blocks, connecting you with a strong sense of your right to exist in your own way. — by Genevieve Hathaway
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — At the moment, certain emotions may feel particularly hard to understand or work with. I suggest resisting the urge to ignore them all together. What you are making contact with are feelings about your authentic self, which you’ve been encouraged for many years to ignore or avoid. Making contact again with these emotions may feel too intense or hot to handle. Your relationships are providing a tethering point for you to actively and consciously explore these feelings. I don’t mean that you are dependent on the other person; rather they are holding open the space for you to connect clearly with certain tough emotions. I suggest taking note of the kinds of people who provide this feeling. They can offer the bridge you need to ground yourself in emotions that may seem too large or intense to live in or understand otherwise. — by Genevieve Hathaway
