Oddly enough, the quick-loan industry is illegal here in Arizona. The legislature banned it several years ago, and considering that it is completely dominated by Republicans, that is a small miracle.
Brendan — that is a small miracle, indeed! Maybe even not-so-small. I’d love to see more states follow suit, assuming that what replaces them are banking services that are actually equitable and fair to low-income customers. That may be a slightly bigger miracle…
