Set the time machine for April 2, 1995, and the months that followed. Go hunting for diaries, notebooks, folders, calendars, letters and any physical artifacts you can find. Ask friends and ex’s about your life at this time. Consider your most cherished goals and tune into the sense you had that you could really be free. Potential is just that — a kind of energy reserve, or an idea yet to be expressed. For these seven years, you have tried many experiments. You have probably been many places. And, more lately, a new sense of spirituality has descended on your life, or perhaps you have risen to it. In the coming months, there is much that you can do to make all those potentials real. There is some unfinished part of the project that you can bring to completion. Now would be a good time to start.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn weekly for June 8, 2012

It’s not always about sex, but usually it is — especially lately. And when that’s true, there are those moments when you have to unleash the furies. You don’t have to release them all at once, though — try letting them out of their cages one at a time, and see how that feels. Meanwhile, every time you worry about your ‘reputation’, I would propose that’s a mirage for fear of your own power. In other words, what you believe is ‘bad for your image’ (or some desire that allegedly threatens your position) may be the very thing that is good for your strength and integrity. You seem to feel like you’re visible right now, and like you have some influence in the world. This is lining up with your passion and a touch of inner chaos in a way that might threaten to unravel everything you’ve built (which seems to be trapping a lot of energy). If that’s true, then I would say keep going.

Every story in your life right now seems to be about commitment. And, despite being associated with attachment and bonding, one of the places you seem to hold the most self-doubt involves commitment to others. That is where to draw the line: it’s easy for you to confuse your investment in a relationship with an investment in your own life. Yes, there is a fine line, though the people who care about you the most understand that they provide a forum for you to self-actualize. Look carefully at the relationships in your life and make sure that you know which ones fit this description; that you understand who exists in your world for the purpose of consciously (as in willingly) holding space for you to get to know yourself. I recognize that this may seem ‘one sided’, though I would offer the idea that when your deepest relationships have this as their primary element, you are more available to others, not less. So, far from being self-centered for its own sake, I am talking about being self-aware and fully involved with your own growth, so that you are able to participate with greater depth and involvement in your relationships. You only run into trouble when you make some kind of significant compromise of your personal truth, which means you can only be half-present — and that’s as useful as not being present at all. Forget the fact that some people insist that’s what you do. There are others who want you uncompromised and at full strength.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn weekly for May 1, 2009

You have more options than you believe. Because so much is important to you, you’re experiencing a phenomenon of this leading to a narrow sense of potential; few outcomes could actually cover as many points as seem necessary. But you don’t need many possibilities, outcomes or directions of movement; you need the one that works for you. I suggest you focus on that. Part of why you have so many options is so that it’s possible to eliminate the ones that are not what you want. I would propose that each time you subtract something from your agenda that does not match up with your values, you declare a minor victory and go back to your elimination process. This is not reducing your potential for freedom; rather, it’s pointing you directly toward it.

No matter what your present circumstances, if you consciously decide to enjoy this moment, you will feel what a sweet season of your life it really is. If this leaves you worried that you should be worried about something, then put your mind and your hands to work, or better yet, put your heart to work loving those who are close to you.

You are far better off not knowing and investing energy finding out. Alternately, certain points of experience will prove invaluable as presently developing events unfold. But in your world of mystery, faith in your guidance is not merely an ally; it’s your best friend.

My sense is that you’re still not seeing the big picture, and that you haven’t given much in the way of clear names to the great mysteries. You could say, well, there will always be mysteries, why should I solve this particular one? Though many factors are now serving to motivate you, assembling the pieces has yet to seize hold of your often obsessive spirit. It will, soon enough, and who knows — the time between now and then may be better spent doing more creative things than sleuthing around your own life like a detective. But I’m not sure what else you might do. As I’ve suggested many times lately, opportunity to exist in much a much larger world awaits you, and the sum of what you now know is far greater than the bits and details you may seek.
