One of my Book of Blue model friends, an actor and artist named Heather Fae, and I made up a mantra during a photo session one day: Free Phantasy. We decreed that the realm of one’s erotic imagination is rightfully an anything-goes space. Anyone you want is subject to the whims of your imagination, as is anything you want, no matter how inappropriate or unavailable it may seem. Within the space of consciousness, we have an innate right to think and feel whatever we want. It helps if we dare to allow anyone to think or want anything they want about us. We don’t have to advertise this fact — only admit that it’s likely to happen and not waste energy resisting. When we allow the imagination to run wild, it’s inevitable that we’ll arrive places that violate various social morals or ethics. Most people spend enormous amounts of energy pulling back or censoring themselves, which in turn can lead to conflict and even paralysis and sickness. Anything goes means anything: darkness and shadow are part of our psychic experience on Earth, and can be sources of pleasure and authentic healing of a deep inner split that you no longer need — and that in truth no longer exists.

You will recognize them because they are different, and because they speak to a child aspect of who you are, a child who is not afraid to be powerfully creative, even brilliantly so, and who is not afraid to be angry, serious, hot, horny, loving and free.

There is this brilliant idea you’re after, but if you just stay put for a moment it’s going to land on your hand like a magnificent blue dragonfly. What I love about dragonflies is how ancient their kind is. They seem like they were here from the beginning, and carry such pure messages. But this blue dragonfly looking at you with her sweet eyes is very much a creature of the moment. She has already experienced what you are about to tune into, then move through, with all your emotions, your body and your full awareness. All you need to do is relax, take a few slow breaths, and hold her gaze.

Take care of unfinished business. Make sure you’ve said what you have to say, and done what you have to do. I suggest you go back and do an inventory of what you have not completed and any promises you have not kept. Choose from your most important priorities and start with the top tier. You might also take care of a bunch of easy ones right up front so you build some momentum. We are approaching a New Moon in your birth sign, followed by the Sun changing signs. That means new opportunities, and more than that, new priorities. In preparation for that you will want to wipe your slate as clean and clear as you can, with little or nothing lingering from the past. And if you take up that issue you will see you really do have plenty of influence.

You may feel like you have so many ideas that your head is going to explode if you don’t express them all. I suggest you start with a small opening rather than a large one: a few thoughts on paper; a few sketches on the kitchen memo board. Get your creative momentum going gently. The next couple of months are likely to be so intellectually rich that you’ll fill a notebook or two. There is another possibility, of course, which in your case would be a mental paper chase to rival a library getting hit by a missile. Either condition is a direct cosmic invitation to go on a profound search within: to explore the contents of your thoughts and feelings with no specific goal. The astrology is more akin to poetry than to journalism, though there is a place where the two meet, and you just might find it.
