Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope for Sept. 24-30, 2017

Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope for Sept. 24-30, #1169 | By Eric Francis
Aries

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Pay attention to who you meet this week, and don’t be intimidated by the great and the mighty. There’s an alchemy to your relationships at the moment, something that’s been gradually coming into alignment for a long time, and it describes encounters with unusual creative potential that might seem to manifest spontaneously. This is where being in the moment and setting aside any form of being star-struck come in. Recognize that every human being on the planet is, in a sense, your peer. However, it will help if you proceed with genuine respect, being honored to meet everyone you meet, whomever they may be: the powerful, the seemingly meek, the young, the old. Know as well that your presence has an influence on the world around you, even if you never see the results. You bring something distinct to every encounter, including the ability to actually present yourself as who you are. That will work brilliantly, as long as you bring all of your listening skills to every meeting. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Taurus

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — The creative process is said to be more about perspiration than it is about inspiration. You start with an idea, and you work on it till you have a clue whether it does what you want it to do. Yet there are also moments of intervention: for example, an experience of contact with a teacher or mentor; a collision with a member of your audience who says something (whether positive or negative) that gets you thinking in a new way; or some discovery that you might make. This week is rich with such teaching moments. It may also be rich in people with whom you connect and cultivate relationships that last many years.

Here’s the one thing to be cautious of: don’t be repelled by the seemingly weird, eccentric or non-ordinary people you may meet. Talent, success and brilliance often come in forms you’re not expecting or have never heard of. People who have indeed made their way in the world have almost always done so by emphasizing aspects of their character that others may feel are off-putting. For maximum benefit, set your judgements aside. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Gemini

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Remember that you’re no longer a child in a world of almighty adults. You are a capable, intelligent and resourceful person who is not, in truth, at anyone’s mercy. Yet you may feel like that from time to time this week, and it’s essential that you pause, catch up with yourself, and respond to others with your full mind. You may have moments when you misjudge your own intelligence as being less than what you really possess. You can sidestep that by not making any judgements at all; stay in the moment, listen to your senses, and ask any questions that you may need to. If you think of life as a process of exploration rather than as a planned trip to a specific destination, you’ll have a lot more fun. You’ll be able to indulge the creative freedom that is your birthright. Do what you can to guide all relationships with collaborators or potential collaborators in any form into the most daring and adventurous territory you can. The chances are, they’ll welcome the opportunity. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Cancer

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — The theme of writing has come up repeatedly in my readings for your sign, and we’re now at a peak of that energy. However you can do it, take time to yourself regularly, and sit with your notebook or a computer, preferably with your email and browser turned off. There are thoughts in your mind that you must get into language. This week, with an astounding three different opposition aspects happening (Mars opposite Neptune, Mercury opposite Chiron and Jupiter opposite Uranus), you have the perfect conditions for provoking your mind to action. The thing you may need to avoid are relationship dramas; remember that these are strictly optional. This will be good practice turning down the volume on the usual chatter that clutters up your creative bandwidth. It may help if you focus on a single project, develop that one idea, and drive it to completion, whether it involves the written word or some other form of personal expression. Leo, Virgo Birthday Readings Complete

Dear Friend of Planet Waves:

If what we’re seeing in the wake of the Aug. 21 total solar eclipse is any indication of how influential it was, astrology is alive and kicking in your personal world. I want you to know that the Leo and Virgo birthday readings are available for immediate access.

They are also somewhat late, though this has been a work ethic issue: I don’t do this kind of sensitive reading when I’m in any way stressed, unrested, or distracted. That time finally arrived Friday and Saturday, and these readings are now available.

Planet Waves
You may view the glyph key here.

We are in the midst of extraordinary astrology: we’re living in the wake of so much that’s happened, so much that is happening now, and so much coming up. You need all the information you can get.

Having access to sensitive and accurate astrological keys is a direct advantage. You know the psychic weather when you know the astrology. I work in both the personal and the transpersonal, describing certain inner developments in your life, as well as developments in the world around you — and then I describe where the two meet.

I work in human language, using astro-lingo only as necessary. My message is designed to be both positive and informative: while I’m a pretty good astrologer, I am an even better motivational speaker. I believe in your potential, and I am honored and happy to offer you the keys to realizing your personal gifts.

We are, as well, living through extraordinarily trying times. It’s not easy to be alive right now, but if you can keep your awareness up, and stay a little bit above the fray, and look toward the future, these are indeed brilliant and challenging and amazing times to engage fully with life.

You may get your Leo reading here, or your Virgo reading here. These are especially poignant for your rising sign, as my emphasis is on the houses.

Both include original new music by Vision Quest. You may listen to our live stream here.

Speaking of, I mention in Virgo that I’ve recently published an article in The Mountain Astrologer called It’s All in the Houses. This is an informative, easy-to-follow article that will open up your astrological thinking. The way that I can do these readings for you so accurately is that I understand the houses, or at least I sincerely strive to. I explain how that works in the article, which is free to anyone. If you want to take this deeper, we do offer a class by the same name.

Thank you for being a customer of Planet Waves, and for doing your part to make the world a friendlier, warmer and more intelligent place.

With love, your astrologer,

P.S. If you missed In the Shadow of the Moon, you may access all 12 signs here, or single serving signs here.

Leo

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Minor planet Ceres has entered your birth sign, which describes you taking a step up in the world. While Ceres (of ancient Roman fame) is usually considered in the context of food, she’s also associated with rising to a different social class. Don’t be in a rush to do this, however. Rather, notice the ways it’s already happened. When one transcends a limit of some kind, there’s not usually a pyrotechnics show. Rather, doors unlock and spaces open to which you did not previously have access. So, therefore, give them a try; reach out to people you’ve wanted to connect with; and do what you want until someone tries to tell you that you can’t. Your solar chart is set up such that accessing one place or group of people will open doors to the next and the next. You don’t need every opportunity, though. You only need the ones that you want the most, so it will help if you have an idea what your agenda is. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Your 2017-18 Leo Birthday Reading by Eric is now complete and available for instant access. This is a seminal year for Leo Sun, rising and Moon, especially with the recent powerful solar eclipse in your sign. Make this dynamic energy work for you — order your reading today.
Virgo

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — You’re rapidly approaching a series of transition points in your most important relationships, both personal and professional. You need to keep your wits about you, because Mars in your sign is now opposite Neptune. That’s suggesting you honor boundaries and limits, and remain sober (literally, avoid alcohol or mind-changing substances) when you expect to be in a serious conversation of any kind. You have a habit of underestimating your intelligence, then overcompensating later. You can avoid this by listening carefully and observing what’s happening in your environment at all times. Use the full faculties of your mind, and remember all that you’ve learned so recently, and much other knowledge that you’ve worked so hard to attain. One last: Try to set aside any tendency you might have to be passive, and take the initiative of getting the conversation going. Ask a question, express an opinion, introduce yourself. Say the one thing everyone else is afraid to utter. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Turn Up the Flame with Your Libra Birthday Reading

Awesome, so uplifting and so ‘IT’ — a wonderful birthday message. Eric, thank you. Your service has reached farther and deeper than you know. Turn up the flame on the human blow-torch, baby.

— Eryca Willinger

Dear Friend and Reader:

Your birthday season has begun, and this year it’s extra special. Just as the Sun is making its way through the early degrees of your sign, it forms a conjunction with the asteroid Vesta, which symbolizes devotion, the sacred flame and the hearth.

Planet Waves

This distinctive conjunction offers you the opportunity to lend your energies to what you’re passionate about — what matters to you the very most.

Your 2017-18 Libra Birthday Reading by Eric Francis will give you on-point and accurate guidance to help you optimize your power and direct it where you need it to go.

Your forthcoming solar year will also see Saturn entering your fellow cardinal sign Capricorn; and Chiron entering your relationship sign Aries. Eric will discuss all this and more, in a friendly, accessible recording you can come back and listen to as often as you need.

The Libra birthday reading will contain two 30-minute segments of audio astrology, plus a tarot reading for your year (and an extended written description of your sign).

As always, your reading is spot on and validates what I am experiencing in life at this time. The sheer acknowledgment that as a Libra I need balance, beauty and aesthetics in my life to make me tick on, balanced, in my day-to-day endeavors and consequently some very huge endeavors for the year was just what I needed to keep going.

— Ginger Aarons

Pre-order your Libra birthday reading here for the earliest price of just $33. Note that once the reading is published, the price will increase — so you’ll want to get your copy very soon.

Thank you for your business. May the light of your hearth shine bright.

With best wishes,

Amy Elliott

P.S. This reading makes an excellent and lasting gift for the Libra you know and love — and is also incredibly well-suited for anyone with Libra rising or a Libra Moon.

Libra

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — The astrology this week is so interesting, with so many things happening, that it’s difficult to describe or even suss out. Yet the Sun newly placed in your sign is conjunct a meaningful asteroid called Vesta. That gives you clear direction: hold the space around you open, and observe what happens. You don’t have to do much, or say much, or be anyone other than who you are. Your mere presence in any environment has an influence, and is a privilege that presents you with specific opportunities you would not have somewhere else. That’s a cue to take advantage of any and every place and time in which you find yourself, and to work quietly with the assumption that you belong everywhere that you happen to be. You don’t need to worry about final outcomes. At the moment the astrology is like a six-way cloverleaf with traffic moving in every direction. You can take the ride and see where you end up in a few days from now. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

The Libra solar year commenced with a special conjunction of the Sun and Vesta. Your 2017-18 Libra Birthday Reading by Eric will contain the guidance you need to help you focus on what matters to you the very most. Pre-order your reading today.
Scorpio

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Never judge your own performance. Any musician will tell you there are nights when you feel like you just cannot play, and you crushed it. There are other nights when you feel like a master of the world, and didn’t really pull it off. And all of these experiences are added to your repertoire and contribute to your skill. All you can really do this week is the best work you can, without any need to evaluate it. The one thing you can focus, though, is your sincerity. That’s your most important boundary in an environment where everything is in rapid motion, where opinions are flying, and where there’s no actual way to control the outcome. Your sincerity will guide you, and it will be a cue to others that you’re on the level. Correct any mistakes you might make. Quickly make amends if you hurt anyone. And plunge into life, with whatever creative tools you might use, and express yourself boldly. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — This week, Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries align in a rare opposition aspect. For a Sagittarian, this is pure inspiration, as if you could compose a symphony based on the clattering of pipes or write a brilliant drama from a few moments of dialog you overheard on the subway. There’s so much action in the sky this week that to tap in anywhere will be like trying to capture a waterfall with a spoon, though you have a distinct advantage: Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter — the star of the show — is a large sign, associated with the very largest planet. You contain a cosmos of your own. If anyone can handle this energy, and make the most of it, it’s you. Yet you need to focus your awareness and be attentive. There are many factors in the environment that insist on both mindfulness and a spirit of participation, rather than merely observing. Of course, it will be interesting to watch, and there will be plenty to stoke your sense of humor. Much more is available. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Capricorn

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — We’re just on the heels of the Libra equinox, and the Sun has entered the angle of your chart associated with accountability, authority and public recognition. It’s also conjunct Vesta, one of the great goddesses of Roman times, associated with the stability of the established order. It’s as if you’re standing guard over something of vital importance, holding space for the right thing to happen. While you’re doing this, there’s every kind of movement, madness and a kaleidoscopic dance of the energies. Yet everything is involved with everything else. All the seemingly different bits are part of the same grand pattern. You don’t need to control any outcomes. Rather, be willing to take responsibility for your own destiny and your own choices. Practice the art of respect, and of self-respect, and allow yourself to become part of anything you want, or anything that seems available. Even things that seem out of reach, though, are only a wormhole away. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Aquarius

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — The one thing that could block your experience of this week’s rare and brilliant astrology is a too-serious attitude. Therefore, hang loose, and keep your sense of humor. Let go of some of your formality and adherence to protocol. You have plenty to spare, and can do with far less. Let yourself approach the world more like a child than an adult, which means allowing yourself to be impressed and amazed by things without analyzing or categorizing them. This will free your mind and open your heart to the magic that’s in the air. You may also notice the extent to which you judge yourself, and get a glimpse of how good your life can be when you suspend that habit. You don’t need to explain everything. You don’t even need to understand everything. Most of the very best things in life defy both explanation and understanding, and don’t need a theory to back them up. Pisces

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Despite the prevailing madness of the world, you may find that people’s idealism is running at an all-time peak this week. And not only that, you’ll be able to make contact with it in meaningful ways. So stay positive, and resolve to have fun doing what you do, being who you are, taking the opportunities that arise. There’s a special theme in your charts related to money. You’re a person with great ideas, and others have resources. This week represents many potential connection points between you and them. Now is the time to focus your business plan, even if in short form, and talk to potential investors, donors, contributors or collaborators. If you’re looking for the perfect timing of a fundraising letter of some sort, this is it. If you’re seeking help organizing your finances, now is the time. There’s a spirit of generosity in the air, and a rare moment when people may feel that the truth has the possibility of prevailing over deception. Be bold, be open, and be sincere. Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope for Sept. 14, 2017

Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope for Sept. 14, 2017, #1167 | By Amy Elliott
Aries

Aries (March 20-April 19) — It’s time you made a thorough review of your daily routines or habits, to ensure they facilitate what you’re trying to achieve. Discontinue any regular action or process that no longer serves you. This isn’t just about efficiency: you’ll want to be clear that nothing you do is holding you back from expressing yourself creatively, or from aspiring to do more of what you’re passionate about. You might also benefit from greater participation in charitable works. If you need to bring yourself out a little more, a partner or close friend could be able to help. — By Amy Elliott. Taurus

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Your chosen artistic endeavors are of special importance right now. Not only do they possess all the usual benefits that living creatively brings; they are currently serving as a means for you to disconnect from certain restrictions you may have experienced in the past. As this is probably a relatively deep process, some powerful emotions might arise. What’s likely happening is that you’re heading toward a new, fresher, freer state of being. Gradually, you’re discovering more about who you truly are, what you really want, and how you can make that happen. — By Amy Elliott. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Gemini

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Are your main living spaces optimal for what you do? Do they contain everything you need to pursue your ambitions and live your life freely? If the answer is no, now would be a good time to rectify that. Be fearless about it, and speak to people who can help if necessary. If you find yourself holding back, you might ask what that’s about. It’s entirely possible that something you learned in early life may be preventing you from doing what you wish to now. Yet your home is where you should be able to be completely and unabashedly yourself; so aim high, and consider practicing total honesty. — By Amy Elliott. Cancer

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Information abounds in this internet age; the difficulty has become sorting the good data from the bad amid the overwhelm. That said, part of learning has always been about discarding the preconceptions of ignorance. This week, you’re likely to gain in understanding of a certain matter through whittling down the possible alternatives until you find the truth, or an approximation. Something a friend says might provide a key to the puzzle, so listen out for that. What you discover could be a means of inspiration or possibly a welcome boost to your self-esteem, or both. — By Amy Elliott. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Leo

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — The astrological spotlight has now assuredly moved on from your sign, and is in the realm of your values and possessions. This is probably something of a relief after the intensity of recent experiences, though it may well require you to do some work in terms of bolstering in the outside world the concepts you hold most dear. If you encounter a situation that seems to need your input, practice speaking up as opposed to reticence and silence. Doing this will almost certainly boost your self-esteem and confirm you in the beliefs underpinning your action. — By Amy Elliott. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Virgo Birthdays 2017:
Putting Together Your Next Steps

“Brilliant, Eric! My Sun is Leo and Virgo is my ascendant. I feel my Virgo report speaks to more of who I am than my Leo; though I have to listen to both again as there is such an abundance of information in both. Grateful for your work! Many thanks!”

— LuAnne Lantz, on last year’s Virgo Birthday audio

Dear Friend and Reader:

Are you feeling the need to put something together — some inner facet of your sense of self, or perhaps some external, tangible object? Do you see your community in need of your ideas and effort, or do you suspect the time is right to take another step toward the intentions you identified with the Aug. 21 eclipse?

Planet Waves

Here’s why I’m asking:
On Saturday, Sept. 16, Mercury and Mars form the second of their two conjunctions this season. This one is early in Virgo.
But the first one, on Sept. 3, was in the late-Leo degree where the total solar eclipse occurred.

This means that this weekend’s Mercury-Mars conjunction in your sign carries a touch of the eclipse energy with it. It represents another part to the conversation that began then — and which took a new step almost two weeks ago.

That development is something you can track for yourself. But to look ahead to how both the eclipse energy and the major planetary transitions of late 2017 and 2018 affect you, you’ll need your 2017-18 Virgo Birthday Reading.

Created to help you steer through the next 12 months and beyond, Eric presents the two astrology segments (at least 30 minutes each) and tarot reading in accessible, inviting language. He’ll offer motivation and inspiration for all the challenges and opportunities you may encounter in your intimate relationships, family structure, career, creativity, spiritual and sexual healing and much more.

So deeply helpful and encouraging Eric…confirms my experiences recently and over the past 10 years. Thanks so much for your care and guidance.”

— Lisa

You can still pre-order your Virgo Birthday Reading here to secure the discounted price of $33.

Note that the price of the reading will increase before the full reading publishes, and then will increase again.

Your year is only just beginning. I trust you’ll take advantage of Eric’s unique, warm and world-class reading to navigate it beautifully — whether you have a Virgo Sun, Virgo rising or a Virgo Moon.

Yours & truly,

Amanda Painter

P.S. If you feel like you could use a little extra help getting oriented after all the recent intense astrology, you’re invited to listen to last year’s Virgo reading — as a gift from Planet Waves — before you pre-order your new one.

Virgo

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — In recent weeks you’ve likely been obliged to confront some especially challenging material, or a rather stubborn habit that when viewed impartially has clearly done you little good. You must take charge of your life, and stop allowing others to define you. It’s true that you’ve already made progress. Stick with that; be determined, and listen to those who are encouraging you to be fully yourself. One idea in particular you may need to tackle is that of seeing your part as a role in other people’s lives. Discard that thinking whenever you encounter it. You are the hero of your own story. — By Amy Elliott. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Libra

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — You’ve probably been conscious for a while, at some level, of a deep internal shift that’s taking place. The next stage is likely to involve bringing this material into the everyday realm; and one way to do this is to share your thoughts with someone else. You might, for example, express a secret, long-held desire, regardless of what ensues. Surrendering to that state of vulnerability may be even a transcendental act of devotion to your dharma. Further, in revealing yourself to others, you will perhaps come to understand yourself in a way that was simply not possible before. — By Amy Elliott. Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — If you’ve lately been tussling with rather potent internal feelings, you might gain some catharsis from getting more involved in your community. That could be either the actual neighborhood or a more diffuse, widespread group of people with whom you share something in common; or perhaps both. After all, there are important benefits not only in advocating on an issue about which you are passionate, but in getting to know people face-to-face and developing connections. In either scenario you will most likely come to realize that you have a significant contribution to make. — By Amy Elliott. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — You may have been frustrated by what you perceive as a series of inconveniences or obstacles on the path to your present, possibly long-cherished goals. However, you’ve almost certainly come along further than you think; and now could very well be the moment when you begin to see concrete results. Two things to note: One is that you will likely still need to communicate with the right people in order to steer accurately into port. The other is to be realistic in what you ask for once you start to notice your wishes are being granted; remember, you can aim for the stars, but getting there takes actual rocket science. — By Amy Elliott. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — You may find yourself in conflict with a specific belief, which is now either being shown up as false, or playing an active part in stopping you moving forward. If this particular creed has no obvious merit, at the least you might examine it very carefully, and consider why you’ve held to it for so long. Rules have a tendency to be limited in their application; sometimes it’s better to forget them, and turn directly to your inner compass for guidance. If you keep in mind a spirit of compassion and empathy, and a willingness to act ethically, you can’t really go far wrong. — By Amy Elliott. You’ve had what’s pretty much a longstanding hotline to your unconscious, and are perhaps used to exploring that link — however familiar or otherwise that might feel. That said, a particular idea coming through now might be decidedly more concrete, especially if you’re listening. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — You seem to be making strides in your relationships after a good while of things appearing to stagnate or move more slowly than you’d like. To a certain extent, you can simply flow along with the new pace. However, you’ll need to watch carefully how matters progress, and use careful discernment. Make sure your contacts are of a sort to nourish and empower you, first and foremost. Then, don’t be afraid to speak up if you feel a need to move in a particular direction, or to make changes. Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope for Sept. 3-9, 2017

Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope for Sept. 3-9, 2017, #1166 | By Eric Francis
Aries

Aries (March 20-April 19) — As Mercury changes direction this week, you will be guided to put the emphasis of your life on work-related projects. Yet you’ll benefit from leaving the window open to the creative zone of your mind, drawing from the same pool of ideas you would to do your most exciting personal projects. Said another way, to work effectively, the formula is to blend work and play. That means being more daring, and breaking the mold on certain stuck or boring thought patterns. You may encounter a situation where there’s a temptation to do things the same old way, though the more you try to do that, the more you will revolt. Your mind may become a kind of incendiary device; these get most of their power not from the explosive itself but from the tightness of the container. When you experience a real idea, you’ll know it from the way the walls and windows rattle. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Taurus

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You’re ready to expand into a whole new direction, though you may encounter some resistance in the form of your usual, seemingly inescapable self-critique. You in particular will always tend to be your harshest critic, which is in part a product of conditioning you can unravel. In case I haven’t done so lately, I’ll pass along an idea given to me by a wise old Taurus in my life, which is to never judge your own performance. Rather, do your best work, and let others decide how they feel about it. While some things, such as writing or photos, seem subject to self-critique, this is not as dependable as it seems. You miss the impact of what you create on minds and emotional bodies other than your own. You can’t really assess what you’re producing unless you experience it for the first time, in that moment, which you cannot do. Therefore, do not judge yourself; just keep experimenting. Gemini

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Mercury stationing direct on Tuesday morning, after a nearly four-week retrograde phase, will give you a boost of confidence. Yet at the same time, other factors look like they could undermine your self-assurance. Once there was a spiritual teacher named Alan Watts. He wrote, “The desire for security and the feeling of insecurity are the same thing. To hold your breath is to lose your breath. A society based on the quest for security is nothing but a breath-retention contest in which everyone is as taut as a drum and as purple as a beet.” Wow, that sounds like it was written yesterday, though it’s from the mid-20th century. The remedy to this emotional mind is, in part, not to take yourself, or your feeling of supposed security, all that seriously. Keep your sense of humor. Remember that all things have a beginning, a middle and an end; track where you are in that process. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Cancer

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — This has been an interesting few weeks for you in two seemingly unrelated aspects of life: your finances and your self-esteem. Yet astrology strongly suggests that they are closely related, if not one and the same thing. If you study the relationship, you’ll notice interesting things. People tend to feel more confident when they have money in their pocket, though they often miss that their economic situation is related to their confidence. While there are exceptions, you will learn a great deal from seeking an understanding of this relationship, particularly over the next six months. As you build one, you will strengthen the other, with the seeming side result of cultivating maturity. This should be more meaningful to you than popularity or being entertained. Go for the deeper material and the longer-lasting values. Know what is truly important to you, and find strength in pursuing that as a life mission or calling. What you gain, you will never lose. Leo

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — What you’ve learned the past few weeks has provided you with gems of wisdom that you will be able to bank on for a lifetime. In long hindsight, once some time passes and you have some perspective, August 2017 will be a before-and-after turning point on which your whole life seemed to pivot. What happens over the next few days will remind you what you learned and reinforce the teachings that have been offered to you. You may have missed a few subtle points or ideas for how to proceed, and you may also be making a few final decisions for how you’re going to advance in the short term. Make sure those decisions are based on new information, which is likely to be flowing in abundance. The point of gaining knowledge is to use it, rather than merely collect it. The only way to confirm whether a theory or approach is valid is to do an extended real-time test. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

The first astrology segment of your 2017-18 Leo Birthday Reading by Eric is now published. This is a seminal year for Leo Sun, rising and Moon, especially with the recent powerful solar eclipse in your sign. Make this dynamic energy work for you — order your reading today.

Virgo Birthdays 2017:
Find Your Passion for Growth

“If you’re getting the message to grow and to become, find your passion for growth. Passion means feeling, beauty, angst, love, confusion, pain and discovery: the things you discover in every meaningful endeavor.”

— Eric Francis Coppolino in the 2017 Book of Your Life reading for Virgo

Dear Reader with Virgo Sun, Rising or Moon:

What messages to “grow and become” did you receive between the two August eclipses? Are you still trying to figure that out, or maybe planning your next steps?

Recent weeks have been interesting and intense for just about everyone, though it’s possible they’ve felt especially curious for you.

This Tuesday, you had the unique experience of your ruling planet, Mercury, stationing direct in the same cryptic, hidden-away section of your chart where the total solar eclipse occurred on Aug. 21.

All of it comes together to begin your next year in dynamic ways — ways that will ripple out and develop in the months to come, aided by other significant astrology in the process. For example, major planets are gearing up to change signs (among other things).

Eric will get into all of this and more in your upcoming 2017-18 Virgo Birthday Reading.

“Your readings are soothing, grounding and remarkably spot on, especially in times like these. I very much appreciate you and your work.”

— Alison

Created to help you steer through the next 12 months and beyond, Eric presents the two astrology segments (at least 30 minutes each) and tarot reading in accessible, inviting language. He’ll offer motivation and inspiration for all the challenges and opportunities you may encounter in your intimate relationships, family structure, career, creativity, spiritual and sexual healing and much more.

“You guide but also ask the listener to engage with their lives. Humans don’t just get transformation for free and you are very precise in telling us where to look.”

— Shelley Stearns

How will you activate your potential and passion to grow and become? You can start by pre-ordering your Virgo Birthday Reading — at the lowest price we offer: just $33 for some of the clearest, most immediately useful astrology you can find on the internet.

Note that the price of the reading will increase before the full reading publishes, and then will increase again.

Virgo

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — In anything you may do, ask yourself whom you’re serving. What is the cause that you’re supporting? To what is your energy devoted? To be happy as a Virgo, what you do must transcend yourself. Yet Mars in your birth sign is strongly suggesting that you have to act in certain self-serving ways. You’re approaching a point of maturity that’s requiring you to find approaches to life that sustain your own cause and that serve the greater good. What you do must work for everyone on some level. There are times when you’ll be called upon to make a sacrifice or to offer yourself in truly selfless service, though when you’re in tune, this will always come back to you in the form of learning, knowledge or the opportunity for further participation. Don’t be deterred by people who are in denial or committed to being lost; that’s just a game, and it’s one that you don’t want or need to play. Libra

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — There’s only so much progress you can make when your primary devotion is to making sure your life is carefully planned and organized. Most real advances come through some form of disruption. This might include an unexpected turn in the story line, plans that don’t work out and which then need to be revised, or realizing you’re confused and need to snap out of it. Therefore, hang loose, and don’t cling to what you think is supposed to happen. Rather, let the momentum of the next few days carry you, and then see where you end up. Events over the next 24 hours, as the Full Moon stretches across the most sensitive angle of your solar chart, will reveal that things are not as they seem. As the fog gradually clears, you’re likely to discover that you’ve accomplished far more than you may think, despite any plans to do something different. Scorpio

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Popularity is not everything. Seeming proper and acceptable are worth even less. These things are so empty that you’d be well served to toss any worries about what you think people think, and to experience yourself with no concern about how you’re perceived. This is a stretch, though it’ll set you free to think, feel and do things that violate the rules in some way, or which may be appealing to you but frightening to those who are less bold and curious. That’s the place to hang out; that’s where the action is. The fact that something you want might seem inappropriate, embarrassing or risqué is exactly the reason to experiment with it; this in turn will require you to go against protocol in some way. That’s one clue you’re doing something real, and relevant to your growth. To be who you are, you must be willing to challenge who you are. Sagittarius

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — All the emphasis of your solar chart is now shifting to your 10th house of reputation and achievement. That also means accountability. You might, however, be over-emphasizing the responsibility aspect of things, which could hinder your ability to get things done. If you proceed with foresight rather than merely worrying about the impact of what you do, you’ll make a lot more progress. Consider what you intend, and be mindful about unintended consequences. Said another way, at the moment, there’s a limit to how impeccable you can be and still get anything done. One helpful key is to notice when your own concerns seem like those of your parents. For example, you know you can succeed at what they might never have dared to try. You might bend a rule that they would never even consider messing with. Most of all, you’re far likelier to strive to achieve something difficult even if you’re uncertain or insecure. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Capricorn

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — One theme of the post-eclipse phase of your life is ethics. You can think of this as the careful evaluation of what is right or wrong, based on your personal values. You can drive yourself crazy splitting hairs, and sometimes that’s necessary and relevant. There’s another side to what we call ethics, which is a related concept: ethos. You can think of that as the spirit of the law, rather than the letter of the law. That’s what you want. The truth, or what is correct, is rarely quantifiable, though you can feel it — and you can feel when that elusive thing is not there. For your purposes, there is such a thing as true and valid, though you will be able to sense it more than you can prove it. Therefore, be sensitive to what you’re feeling, including a certain kind of resistance that you know hints you’re investing your energy where it does not belong. Aquarius

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — Regarding a financial matter, you will need to study the exact figures before you have a sense of what’s going on. Be bold about going to the numbers, and looking at the various sub-totals and the bottom line. This is not an area with any room for guessing, and what you think might be true is likely to turn out to be different from what is actually true. You cannot be too accurate; you should get the same result whether you add the column from top to bottom or bottom to top. Once you have the data, you’ll be on much more solid ground, and you’ll feel more confident as a result. In fact, you’re likely to discover that not knowing the bottom line eats confidence like a caterpillar eats leaves. You’ll also have enough information to establish the best MO for what you want to do, which should rightfully include a budget that you stick to, more or less. Pisces

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Many changes filter through the astrology this week, which will settle the accounts on what has occurred during this most eventful month or two of your life. You’ve lived with considerable uncertainty and resistance, which you’ve endured so persistently that you got used to it. Allow things to settle down without any special need to stir them up again. Take some time and do what you want to do, rather than what you seemingly have to do. Most of all, allow and invite what you want to come to you, rather than thinking that you always must go to it. The Pisces Full Moon takes place Wednesday morning, and is just elegant in both its mysteries and what it reveals. Keep in mind that from the viewpoint of others, you’re not so easy to understand or pin down to one point of view, though you can trust yourself, and people will trust you, for many other reasons. Weekly Horoscope for Aug. 31, 2017, #1165 | By Amy Elliott
Aries

Aries (March 20-April 19) — The forthcoming conjunction of retrograde Mercury to your ruling planet Mars will probably find you revisiting some theme of last week’s eclipse. You may also feel called to re-commit to a creative project, though it’s not always a simple matter to muster the discipline. Focus as far as you can. Even paths that wobble a bit reach their destination in the end. Once Mercury has re-engaged direct motion, it might well be easier for you to persevere. — by Amy Elliott. Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You’re receiving a good deal of impetus to express yourself more completely and openly; yet it appears as if there is something you’re not quite willing to let go. This might be a belief about yourself; it could be a fear of taking risks. It may help you to dig a little deeper and sniff out what’s bothering you, so that you know its true nature enough to be clear how to overcome it. You could also find in that particular tunnel a source of hidden strength. Put that to use. — by Amy Elliott. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — An idea seems to have been brewing in your mind, which has all the hallmarks of being on point. Yet you would probably be wise to consider it as still under development. It’s fairly likely you don’t yet have all the information, and may need to investigate at a deeper level; or you might need to let the mixture steep a little longer. This could include money, your skill set, friends or something else. Consider whether there might be an as-yet-untried way to work with what you have, or whether you could reorganize, before seeking additional means from elsewhere. Of course it’s important at times to acknowledge your various resources, including your physical body, your possessions and your personal values, among other things. Yet who you are is greater than all of those. Within you is a core being and a deep strength, which would exist even if you had little more. Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope for August 7-13, 2017

Your Weekly Horoscope for August 7-13, 2017, #1162 | By Eric Francis Coppolino
Aries

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Most people will do nearly anything to be part of a group, which leads to some dangerous possibilities. Many of them are psychological and spiritual, though it’s clear that people will do things as part of a group that they would never do as individuals. The time has come to stand apart from certain people in your life, and the things that they do. You are well beyond the point of needing either conformity or approval from your peers when you express your personal intentions and desires. What you want to do would indeed be curtailed or hemmed in by seeking approval, whether you seek different forms of relationships, expressing yourself as an artist, or doing what feels right as a lover. If you want to get out of the habit of looking for validation, today’s eclipse will be a boon. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Taurus

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You may have some experiences this week that will help you see through a group dynamic that’s taken shape in your life. Any activity that involves what feels like a ‘family’ will help you clarify your early experiences and how they have shaped you as an adult. The moment you’re aware of the connections, you will be on top of whatever game is implicated, and you may make a discovery that will serve you for a lifetime. Remember that when people get involved in groups, they tend to subjugate their individuality, and as a result do things they would never otherwise do. If you spot this tendency in yourself, that’s the time to raise your awareness and to start making decisions. There may be considerable pressure to do what’s not right for you, though this is nothing compared to the rewards of living with integrity. Gemini

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — If you say less, you will be saying more. It’s your natural tendency to give the longer version of the story, and to provide the background information too. This is especially true with the Sun and Mars in your house of communicating. However, your ruling planet Mercury is slowing down, and you would be well advised to focus your message and to say only what is necessary. This way, you’ll have greater impact. If you must say a lot, put it in writing, and don’t publish it right away. Spoken words have a tendency to disappear, which gives them relatively little impact. The written word is an enduring thing, though this would rightly be in some form other than tweets or other social media posts. You do indeed have something to say, and you deserve the opportunity to make it count. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Cancer

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Venus in your sign is inviting you to immerse yourself in the best that life has to offer. We’re in the season of eclipses — a lunar eclipse occurs today, and a solar eclipse is coming soon. Eclipses help you break old habits and establish new ones. That’s an invitation to spend your time doing as much of what you love as you can. Do the things you rarely seem to have time for, but which you know nourish you. Speaking of nourishment, any habits around food that you cultivate now have a much greater chance of becoming established. One message coming from your solar chart is to eat as many meals at home as you can. This will save you money, reduce your intake of unwholesome ingredients, and help ground you in your home — which for one born under your sign is essential. Are you navigating changes in your relationships or family paradigm? Do you find yourself at a career crossroads? Are you seeking clarity, encouragement and new perspectives on your creativity, self-esteem, sexuality or healing process? You’ll find ideas and reassurance in this reading.

“I have just listened to your Part 1 and Part 2 readings and I am amazed at how accurate it has been. Like you have a telescope watching me shed a skin and transform into a totally changed person in the last 10 years.”

— Pauline Jones

Leo

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Monday there is an eclipse of the Moon in the angle of your chart that describes your relationships, and the environment that surrounds you. Suddenly it seems that environment is changing in significant ways. Mostly this will come in the form of letting go of old friends and getting some new ones. It’s essential to go through this every once in a while, especially if your goals, your sense of purpose, or your idea of who you are becoming are changing. Essentially, you need friends who are not threatened by your willingness to change and grow. There’s no way to overstate this necessity. You are indeed evolving rapidly; and having people around you who in some way object or are made nervous by that fact is a perfect way to thwart your own progress. If someone really cares about you, they will honor your need to grow. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

The first astrology segment of your 2017-18 Leo Birthday Reading by Eric is now published. This is a seminal year for Leo Sun, rising and Moon, especially with the upcoming powerful solar eclipse in your sign. Make this dynamic energy work for you — order your reading today.
Virgo

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — This is an interesting week in the history of Virgo. Mercury, your ruling planet, is about to station retrograde in your sign. This happens Saturday, Aug. 12, though the effect will be full strength through the week. What’s so original is that Mercury is making a long conjunction to Vesta, a beautiful and complex asteroid whose themes of service and devotion relate to your sign. Two themes emerge: one is about holding space for the right thing to happen. You don’t have to make it happen; your role will be to facilitate. This may mean serving as a translator in a moment of sensitive communications at a time of confusion and misunderstanding. Without taking sides, serve the role of keeping the channels open and clear. Second, there’s something personal here about how your relationships happen. One keynote of Vesta is unusual relationship patterns. Most of the seemingly normal things that people do are not really for you; and if you can accept that fact, you get to experience your own distinct and unique form of beauty in love and bonding. Libra

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — It’s been a while since anyone figured out that feeding the people is a key to bonding, cooperation and respect. That’s what your charts are about this week. Venus, the Libra planet, is crossing your 10th house of responsibility and authority, which for you is the sign Cancer. You are a caregiver in any leadership role, though particularly this week — with Venus conjunct Ceres, the goddess of food — you must look after your flock. Figure out a way to actually provide food for the people you work with, whether your colleagues or those who report to you. Bring food, order some in, or take people out to a meal — whatever works for you, as long as you’re the one who is doing the nurturing. With food comes a conversation, and with Mercury in such interesting form (see Virgo), there will be plenty to talk about. Focus on making the world a better place, starting here and now. Scorpio

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Mars and the Sun continue to streak across the most visible area of your solar chart this week, while a lunar eclipse is about to happen in one of the most private areas. In old-school thinking, this is a reminder that you must balance devotion to your professional life and your personal life. I would offer another idea, which is that you must be the same person in private spaces as you are in public. You cannot divide your character, despite the popular perception that this is possible. You are one person, living one life. Your inner truth and your outer truth are one thing. Therefore, toss aside all excuse-making, and anything designed to enhance your image, and be absolutely sincere in all that you do. You will gain strength by revealing your vulnerabilities. And you will go deeper into this rarefied thing known as integrity, which is the very substance of life. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — This week, Mercury stations retrograde in the angle of your chart associated with accountability, responsibility and leadership. This is an indicator to take things slowly and in incremental steps. You need to be aware that you’re not working with full information, which is typical of the week that Mercury stations retrograde or direct. There’s always some key data that will be shaken out of the cosmos, and you need to pause major decisions until you have a grasp on what that is. You may feel like you’re acting in a sincere and noble way, only to discover you did the opposite of what was necessary. Take this approach through the whole Mercury retrograde — the really interesting information comes to light at the very end of the process, during the first week of September. It will be worth doing this, even if it seems inconvenient. Both your reputation and the common good are at stake. So: one calm, calculated day at a time. Capricorn

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Belief is fragile, and it verges on useless. Why is that? Believing something tends to extinguish the quest for truth. What’s worse, most beliefs are of themselves not based on reality, on facts, or even on accurate perceptions. This week, Mercury stations retrograde in the angle of your chart associated with religion, spirituality and all processes of learning. You have Virgo in this angle, which describes your tendency to want the details before you offer your trust. That would be a wholesome approach to life this week. Let yourself ask the big questions. Don’t be in a hurry to have answers; let the mystery stand, and feel the strength that doing so gives you. Your quest through the Earthly plane of existence is driven by your questions, and it’s suspended by accepting false answers. A new phase of your quest begins this week. Be bold and stay hot on the trail…of whatever you may seek. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Aquarius

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — Monday there’s an eclipse of the Moon in your sign. This may influence several facets of your life, though none more than your commitment to the work that you do. You are inspired to do good work because you care. You know that money is a relatively small influence for you, though you need to be mindful of cash flow. So make sure that you’re doing what you love to do, just in case you have to do a lot more of it. The other aspect of existence covered by this eclipse is your overall health and wellbeing. You simply must commit to this as a way of life. You must eat real food, drink pure water (coffee and soft drinks do not count) and get actual rest on a nightly basis. This is about longevity, and it’s also about efficiency. If you work yourself into exhaustion, your efficiency goes down; and if you’re well rested and prepared, it increases rather dramatically. You know all of this. Put it to good use. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Pisces

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — There’s a mysterious angle of every chart, called the 12th house. This is the zone of the chart that covers parallel realities, like dreams and experiences on drugs; it includes cinema and any form of illusion; and if we look to Vedic astrology (the kind practiced in India), the 12th covers “the pleasures of the bed.” Today there is an eclipse in this area of your chart, which will stir up your deepest desires, your fantasies, and maybe some psychological clutter that you’ll want to look at before you toss it in the dustbin. Fortunately, at the same time, Venus is moving through Cancer, which is encouraging you to take a physical and emotional approach to your desires, rather than just sending some saucy texts. Let yourself out of your container. Let yourself be the physical, sensuous, erotic person that you are. If you make yourself available to people you trust, everyone will benefit. Your Weekly Horoscope for July 17-23, 2017

Your Weekly Horoscope for July 17-23, 2017, #1159 | By Eric Francis Coppolino
Aries

Aries (March 20-April 19) — This week will be full of surprises, with Mars starting off the festivities by making a square to Uranus. I’m ethically obliged to give the accident warning associated with this aspect: if you’re doing something like climbing a ladder, make sure someone spots you. If you’re chopping vegetables, stay off the phone. That said, take any sudden alteration of plans as an opportunity. Shorn of your previous intentions or attachment to outcome, pause and ask yourself, OK, what do I really want? Where can I go from here? Then choose what would be most fun, most productive, or both. Where professional activities are concerned, your leadership role will be highlighted by your ability to think on your feet. Just make sure you do a quick once-over of your plans (taking from 15 seconds to 15 minutes) to check for unintended consequences. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

You can now pre-order all 12 signs of the new Midyear Reading by Eric Francis, In the Shadow of the Moon, for the introductory price of just $66. Just in time for the Great American Eclipse of Aug. 21, 2017, Eric will record a helpful, top-quality video reading. Get your copy today.
Taurus

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Give close partners or loved ones plenty of room to be themselves. It’s possible to take pleasure in this gesture of supporting the individuality of others. Rather than feeling like you have to compromise, be negotiable and take the opportunity to do your thing if someone else is unavailable, whether mentally, physically or emotionally. Soon enough they’ll circle around back your way. Meanwhile, your solar chart is full of aspiration and intrigue: you’ll likely cross paths with people who have important roles. When you meet them, keep the conversation friendly and light. Being respectful as a matter of daily practice opens up a special door: you can trust yourself speaking to anyone, treating them as a person rather than personage, and exchange ideas. You might use the cocktail party rule: keep the conversations short, and keep circulating. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Gemini

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Normally astrologers look to Mercury for the story of your sign, but this week we’re looking at Venus, currently traveling through Gemini. It’s making some interesting moves, too: first Venus will make a square to Neptune, then a trine to Jupiter. Translation? As my old tripping partner Scott Grace used to say, “Confusion is the state before enlightenment.” Therefore, welcome any state of not knowing, not understanding or uncertainty about your feelings. Rather than trying to make yourself sure, let the boat of your mind drift for a day or so, and you’ll find yourself in an entirely new place. Just remember that essential spiritual move of holding open your space of not knowing, with some reverence for this as the prerequisite of learning. When you discover something that’s true, you’ll feel it in your mind and your body. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Cancer

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Stay in contact with your desire. Try to go to the most sincere level you can; that is, not influenced by advertising, trends or what your friends are up to. Connect with what you actually want, however you may feel about it, whether or not you think it’s appropriate. This will be a sweet spot of aligning with yourself. Particularly if you’re judging what you want, whether you think it’s too expensive or like someone might judge you, stick with yourself. You have a discovery ahead of you; a mystery will unravel. Be patient, and allow yourself to be instructed by your circumstances rather than by opinions or supposedly spiritual values. This process will likely include a point of contact in the sexual realm; you know intuitively and from much experience that the truth contains a wholesome streak of erotic feeling. Leo Birthdays 2017:
How Will You Shine This Year?

“Thanks for reassuring this Leo, who is having a year ‘for the books’! You get to the core of things.”

— Barbara Peaslee, on a previous Leo reading

Dear Friend and Reader:

One day after the Sun enters your sign, there will be a special New Moon in Leo on July 23 — special, because you get another one in a month. And that second Leo New Moon will be even more special: the highly anticipated Aug. 21 total solar eclipse (in between is a partial lunar eclipse in your ‘relationship sign’, Aquarius).

Planet Waves

Eclipses are unique and powerful pattern-shifting events.

Or, at least, they can be — especially if you can get clear on what you want, set your intentions, and then get the ball rolling in your desired direction.

Working with this kind of energy is one of Eric’s specialties.

And he’ll be giving you the benefit of his expertise in your 2017 Leo Birthday Readingsuitable for anyone with a Leo Sun, Leo rising or a Leo Moon.
Even better, Eric will look ahead to some of the other major astrology of the year, so you’ll be better able to develop whatever happens with this eclipse for months to come.

Whether you need clarity with your intimate relationships, career, self-esteem or identity, creativity, spiritual healing or family issues, you’ll find ideas, encouragement, new perspectives and reassurance in this reading.

“Your work has always offered me food for thought, options to consider and clarity when needed. Thank you very much for what you do and how you present it.”

— Victoria Bouet

I hope you’ll pre-order your 2017 Leo Birthday Reading soon, while it’s still available for the lowest price we’re offering: $33.

Eric will record the two 30-minute astrology segments first; and then a little later, you’ll receive your tarot reading for the year, using the vibrant Voyager Tarot by James Wanless. As these segments are completed, the price of the reading will increase.

Welcome to a year like no other, Leo. I hope you’ll be in touch to tell us what you learn over the next month or so.

Yours & truly,

Amanda Painter

P.S. If you know and love a Leo, why not send them a birthday gift that will keep giving all year? You can give the 2017 Leo Birthday Reading here.

Leo

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Over the next few days, Mars and the Sun will enter your sign, followed by the Leo New Moon Sunday, July 23. This is good news many times over, initially coming as relief from anxiety, followed up by an energy surge. I would suggest, however, letting yourself get a slow start on your new plans — particularly if they involve self-improvement. Mars is going to be pushing you to “do it now,” though the New Moon is saying, “begin gently and gradually build momentum.” There’s power in solid beginnings; that is, ones marked not just by a statement of intention but rather with concentrated action. Before that phase, you may find that odd things happen to existing plans, which will offer opportunities to clear the deck of priorities that are no longer valid or that no longer serve you. Virgo

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Where professional matters are concerned, take things one step at a time this week. Be certain you trust the person you’re speaking to — not merely based on your intuition, but rather based on a track record. If you don’t have experience with someone, I would urge you not to trust them with sensitive information, ideas or your professional plans. The thing is, you may be inclined to make misjudgments about this very thing, particularly early in the week. I suggest you make a firm policy of sharing information on a need-to-know basis, if at all. That said, you’re in full-on creative mode where this area of life is concerned. Let yourself dream of the abundant possibilities. Look at your current situation and imagine how you would develop it to its maximum potential. That, however, will call for leadership. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Libra

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — You have a guardian angel with you, though you won’t know unless you ask for its help. Try this, on matters that seem to be small, or that seem to be great; on personal subject matter and that of people you care about. Make direct requests, whether for protection, an outcome, or wisdom. You’re also in a position to stand up for people, whether you know them well or not. You are a natural-born advocate, and with Jupiter in your sign — beautifully aspected by your ruling planet Venus all week — you have some persuasive ability in your hands. So your advocacy can be gentle, but make sure you’re clear about your views on right and wrong. The world needs moral guidance right now, from people capable of some mental and intellectual balance. You have a good bit more than that going for you. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Scorpio

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Conserve your energy this week, as Mars and the Sun prepare to cross the most visible angle of your solar chart — Leo, the mighty 10th house of your solar chart. A series of events between now and next Sunday will place you in a position of authority, which I would suggest you handle gently and collaboratively. Rather than being the boss, be the coordinator. Ask others to help you supervise whatever situation you’ve got on your hands. Rather than setting goals unilaterally, get as many opinions as you can and make sure that everyone has an investment stake. If you have to take charge, then do it. Till then, key planets, including your ruling planet Mars, remain in water signs, heightening your emotional sensitivity. Get some rest, eat well and get ready for an adventure. Sagittarius

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — Go light on emotionally charged discussions. Even if you have concerns, considerations or issues, take a circumspect view of yourself and of others. You may feel like you’re really, really right, only to get it all off your chest and wonder what the heck you were thinking (or feeling). Rather than assume you know how someone feels, listen for clues, and ask questions that draw them out. Over the next few days, planets will begin to move into fire sign Leo, which will lift your spirits, and reveal all these seemingly complex emotional situations as being much less meaningful than they have seemed. Yet don’t fall for any traps late in the week or into the weekend, as you may be feeling the pressure. How would you do that? Don’t blame anything on a relationship. Just feel what you feel. Capricorn

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Consider yourself the equal of the people around you. I don’t mean this in theory, and it doesn’t just apply to those younger, less knowledgeable, or less accomplished. It also applies to those you think of as superior in any way. Now, this must be done subtly. Here’s how I mean it: If you’re a guitar player and you meet Mark Knopfler, you can greet him as your fellow guitarist. If you’re a photographer and you meet Annie Leibovitz, honor her as your sister photographer. Not better, not worse, neither above nor beneath, but as someone you share something with. This would go for the younger and less experienced ones you may meet: recognize their potential, honor their intention to succeed, and be available to them. If equality exists, it’s subtle, and it lives surrounded by terms and conditions. Keep it simple. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Aquarius

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — Toss any notion that money is related to the meaning of life, or somehow related to success. The latter might be true in some sense, but not the kind of success you are seeking as a humanitarian-leaning Aquarian. Money is a tool, a resource and in some ways a reward. There are many more meaningful factors that will determine whether and how you find your way in the world, the most significant of which is self-respect. Though this is in short supply in the world, it’s abundantly available for you. You will know you’re there based on how you feel. The positive emotions associated with respecting yourself come from below, and from within. It’s not a cerebral thing. As planets enter your relationship sign Leo, love and admiration will enter your life — though only if you feel worthy. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Pisces

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — This week wraps up a long phase of high-energy points — the Sun and Mars, to name two — moving through the most creative, passionate angle of your solar chart. As they make aspects to deep and soulful Chiron in your sign, you’re likely to find new outlets for your talent and your capacity to love and appreciate life. These may come by surprise, or they may open up as an easy flow; a combination of influences may be present. Leave yourself open; leave yourself time, space and bandwidth to explore what you want. Even more significantly, bring a spirit of curiosity and expression into everything you do, no matter how seemingly boring it may appear at first. Your astrology is such that you can make anything interesting, and anything that’s already alive can morph into something brilliant. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Planet Waves Weekly Horoscope for July 13, 2017, #1158 | By Amy Elliott
Aries

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Something about the past week has removed a certain veneer that belongs to social interactions: a temptation to shutter your personal light in the name of conformity. Now that you understand this for what it is, you can begin to grow into the true space you were meant to fill. You need never again be held back by the impositions and assumptions of others. Shine brightly, allow yourself to expand, and revel in your creative gifts like a child in an adventure park. — By Amy Elliott. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You may be feeling as if you have a lot to do, yet you’re not quite sure where it’s all heading; such as when you have to walk or drive in thick fog and can only see a little way ahead. Don’t be discouraged by this, and don’t let it slow your progress. Eventually the mists will clear, and you’ll discover the pattern you couldn’t make out before. Meanwhile, take in a stock of patience; draw on the resources you have. You’re already doing what you need to move forward. — By Amy Elliott. Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Unless you’re actually on the breadline, it really is not necessary to worry too much about your finances. It’s certainly important, and useful, to make sure all your ducks are in a row; but then you have to let them go for a swim. In particular, if you have social opportunities, or the means to invest in something that could substantially enhance your life, consider giving yourself a little slack. Thank you for trusting me as your astrologer.

lovingly,

“Eric, I enjoyed the depth and strength of the Cancer reading. How apropos to do it so close to the moment of the Capricorn Full Moon, Sun in Cancer, moment. I felt deeply connected to much of the reading, both the current moment (turning point), and the historical energy (Pluto in Capricorn). Indeed it has been an intense and deeply revealing time in my relationship life. Thanks for your depth psychology and therapy references, they resonate with me, and speak to the foundational level work I’ve been doing in therapy this past year.”

— Jennifer Cobb, Backstage Pass member, on the 2017 Cancer Birthday Reading

Cancer

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — There’s a spotlight on your career this week; and you have the potential to take some big steps, though as you do so, you need to be aware of two things. First, keep in touch with your body. Healthy practices and nourishing food will be requisite to keeping up with the new pace. Secondly, be extra clear on where and how the changes align with your spiritual ideals. Remind yourself that there are principles you must simply not compromise; if necessary, check in with others. — By Amy Elliott. For your Eric Francis horoscope this week, please see this link.

Leo

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — A recent period of introspection has likely made you better acquainted with the deeper side of your nature. This week, the work you’ve done could become a source of inspiration. Document your dreams, and keep a notepad or some form of recording implement with you, especially when you visit somewhere new. What’s taking place now is preparing the ground for when the Sun enters your sign in ten days or so, and involves exploring who you are in a new light. — By Amy Elliott. Virgo

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — It’s time you claimed your right to feel good — about yourself, and in general. Take some time out for fun, if you can; spend time with friends or lovers. Let the warmth of their regard kindle your creative flame and expand your heart. Check any tendency you have for impassioned self-criticism.
