ARIES (March 20-April 19)
Why exactly is power sexy? Why would a pasty, dull billionaire get plenty of people wet and slippery? Many individuals and society itself seem to accept that this is true. I am asking why, exactly? I know that it’s supposed to be unnecessary to explain this. The reason will turn out to be revealing, and potentially one of the most dangerous thoughts about sex that someone can allow into their mind. There are far more pleasurable options for you.

TAURUS (April 19-May 20)
You are experiencing some kind of explosion in the angle of your chart where sex meets religion meets your vision for yourself. Many believe that neither guilt nor religion influence them, though where there is one there is the other. The power of your desire and your life force energy is burning through any such mental or emotional baggage with greater ease than ever before. True, there is a cost you must pay: being absolutely real with any lover.

GEMINI (May 20-June 21)
Your fantasy life is pushing you strongly in the direction of physical experience, and one particular hot thought might be daring yourself to do something that will take some courage. This could be profoundly healing, as an idea or as an action. The core feeling is that of exposing yourself, revealing who you are in some unusual. You may be feeling the craving to be seen, known and understood. This is as healthy and as vital as the blood in your veins.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)
You can let your sexy freak flag fly, and be happy that people are responding to you. They absolutely will. True, you may not be all that freaky, in which case let your elegant, impeccably presented kind of sexy freak flag fly. Then be friendly when you are approached. Be gracious and drink in the attention. Remember, you are in control. You can say yes, no or maybe. You might want to practice all three in advance.

LEO (July 22-Aug. 23)
You may need a sexual catharsis, that is, an experience where you go all the way in and reach for your own core. It might be helpful to have someone’s assistance; it might be just as good to do this by yourself. Maybe both are in order. A catharsis is a purge, a release, and most of all making contact with any mixed feelings that you have, allowing everything to come to the surface of your own consciousness. Be bold.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)
You’re feeling plenty of heat and passion, which may feel like it has the power to split you open, to melt you or to make you want to roar. There’s another hint that all you might actually do is write about this in your diary. You know that would be a missed opportunity. If you have a chance to give yourself what you want when you want it the most, that is a special occasion.

LIBRA (Sept. 22-Oct. 23)
The hottest sexual experience is often found in the direction of what embarrasses you. This is why people have a love-hate relationship to embarrassment, or get secret pleasure from it. No need to be secret — bring this out into the open, with someone you trust. Map out what you think of as shockingly shameful and give yourself a taste of the nectar. In a sense, this is about coming out, as whoever and whatever you are. As anyone who has don’t so will tell you, it feels really good.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
You seem obsessed, yet restrained. It’s as if you are feeling a universe of passion within yourself, and yet you have to keep a lid on it, for some political, social or professional purpose. I will propose this. You are not being scrutinized the way you think. It’s your passion itself that is stirring up the dust in the catacombs of past conditioning. Your feelings, cravings, curiosity, desires, needs — they are all evidence that you’re alive. You can stuff that down but you don’t have to; you don’t want to. Use your head and your intuition. Choose someone, somewhere, and give yourself what you need.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 22)
Masturbation is sex, and it may be the very best and most loving sex you can experience now. Your whole chart points to this idea. It’s worth experimenting with, and it’s harmless enough. The idea though would be to let every fantasy in your mind blaze out and honestly submit yourself to it. That may include a diversity of feelings, desires and ideas that would not get the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. There is a deep calling here, something on the level of spiritual — the calling to make full contact with yourself.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 20)
You seem to be ready to explode, yet there is some kind of mental block preventing you from letting go all the way. If you experiment with your feeling body, you may notice that you have options. What seems like a block is actually more like a door that can open. What seems like pressure can transform into the feeling of being comfortably in your body. Then you have the option to explore a diversity of feelings on the spectrum between the two. If you relax into this you will find the sweet spot and be able to let go all the way.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 19)
You are starting to figure out that much of the pressure hanging over your head is an illusion. There’s nothing like pressure to get in the way of pleasure, and I suggest you make a direct tradeoff. Condition yourself based on positive rewards, and spend time with those who live on the same theory. Start with relaxing, clear your head and notice what you’re feeling. Then see who and what comes your way, or which way you’re drawn. You are free to move.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
Ultimately, everything is an inner experience, because all thought and perception end up being filtered by your brain. If you remember that, events in the outer world will make more sense, and you’ll have greater flexibility directing the flow of your life. Everything starts with your state of mind. That, in turn, is based entirely on how well you take care of yourself. Chiron is in your birth sign, and that is your reminder that the purpose of your life is healing, and that healing opens the way for love and pleasure.

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Curb your ambition. Think for the long haul. This involves your plans, and it also involves your partnerships. Every one of them is calling for attention. Each is calling for a practical approach, and where money is concerned, a sober and realistic approach. You need all of this more than you need any idealistic vision of how the world should be, and more than you need to worry about your appearances. Well, except for one little facet of experience: making sure that everything you do is impeccable, follows the rules to the letter, and that you present yourself to the public as a solid citizen. Many eyes are on you, though that is not the time to act up. It’s the time to play a tight, short set.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You would be more inclined to think that faith has the power to move mountains, had you seen it happen. But then it would not be the same thing. You have, however, seen what the power of absolute trust can do. I would add here that the most help you can be to yourself is to stay out of your own way, and the second most important thing is to know what you want; to know what outcome you truly desire. Given the current astrology, it’s vital that you think in a timeframe of years, not days, weeks or months. Yes, the present moment is meaningful, and in one respect it’s all there is. Yet there is also something else — the future as a resource, one that is both personal and connected to any endeavor you lay your hands on.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Your intuition is strong right now, and you have the ability to see the invisible (including into yourself). You may be able to see around corners or into the future. Yet you must not let yourself be carried off by your emotions, particularly fear. When distinguishing what is intuitive from what is noise or static, there are two necessary metrics. First, what is the very first thing your mind said back to you when you considered a particular issue or question? Second, what is merely speaking the language of fear? It’s true that intuition can warn you, though it will more often be in a calm form rather than a panicky one. You will just know something, though then of course you must verify that thing. Verification is investigating whether there is solid evidence, which you would then look into carefully. Other times you will get instructions. The question to ask is, “Could following that cause any harm?” If not, then perhaps give it a try.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Go where people can see you, where you can socialize, and where you can relax and be yourself. Better still, be yourself wherever you happen to be. Then make one-on-one time and hang out with someone who really counts. The current sky is illustrating the perfect balance between those two modes. I know you have plenty to do, and plenty else you want to do. I suggest you set work aside as soon as you can and step into the light of the glorious astrology that is shining on you right now. There will be time and opportunity to accomplish everything that is necessary. If you need a lure into pleasure, giving your mind and personality some room to spread out will provide the benefit of some fresh ideas, which can save plenty of needless work.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Clearly you must take charge, which means mustering your confidence and making intelligent decisions. But it also means coming from a place of oversight — a place with a view, where you can take in the whole scene, and also consider what is going on under the ground. Now and for the foreseeable future, you will need to have this perspective, which translates to the ability to see into the distance and to pay attention to what you observe. It will then be necessary to communicate what you know to others, particularly under the influence of astrology that may have you inclined to keep secrets or at least keep quiet. From many standpoints this would be unadvisable. Your position is specifically that of making sure key people know what you know, and making sure they understand your interpretation of circumstances and events. Think that through carefully.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — You may experience flashes of insight into aspects of yourself that are usually difficult to penetrate or even see. However, I suggest you not succumb to the temptation to go mental or spiritual on yourself, and get locked into your mind or concepts. What you are seeing and feeling is calling for a physical response, driven by passion and curiosity. It’s calling for an emotional response, driven by the desire to feel whatever it is you need to feel. There is a deep undercurrent of subverting guilt, propriety, purity and any other form of self-denial or self-repression. I am sure you know all of this. You can feel how deeply you are being called to allow yourself to be, to feel and to call out your own name to existence.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Don’t struggle for self-esteem. Offer it to yourself. You do seem to be experiencing some kind of inner conflict, rooted in whether you really approve of yourself or are acceptable to others. Yet if that language resonates, I suggest you go deeper, to that level that you might be inclined to describe as raw, real, emotional or controversial. There is another layer to this self-esteem thing, and that is about cracking out of a shell that you were put in when you were very young. If you’ve kept yourself in that shell, it’s likely been to make sure that you have the approval of others (particularly if they controlled your supply of food and access to shelter). At this point, the thing to do is everything you want to do that you think would be shocking to all those people. You are not doing it to prove how shocking it will be. You would be doing it to demonstrate that they really don’t care, and you really are free to make your choices.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Your chart is urging you to mind your politics, which means finding a means of working with the established power structure that’s around you. Said another way, your chart is urging practicality. Yet there is some passion burning in your mind, some idea, something that you must say, do or revolt against. Saturn in your sign is protecting you from cutting loose inappropriately. Saturn is reminding you of your responsibilities and of your own need to be accountable. Yet there is this sensation inside of you. What to do? Let’s use some astrology. Thursday is the Full Moon in your opposite sign Taurus, something of an emotional high tide for you. In two weeks there will be a New Moon in Sagittarius. Whatever you’re feeling, whatever you want to say or do, take those two weeks and check back in with yourself.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — There’s a storm blowing somewhere in your soul. It’s shaking your windows and rattling your walls, though it’s inside you, not outside. Other astrology suggests you are feeling like time is closing in on your desires and your plans for your life. Your chart describes the sensation of approaching some kind of last chance or final opportunity. This is a feeling more than a reality, though it can be a useful feeling indeed. One message of your charts is that time is not infinite, when counted on a human scale. Indeed, our time on Earth is rather finite, and we are dealing with an unknown. One reading of your chart is to respect every unknown in your life. As part of that you are being called upon to respect time, and the passage of time.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Looked at one way, the paradox of existence is that existence begins within and extends without. Yet at the same time we are demanded not to be so self-centered. We must be relational and responsive to others, and yet we all know that all those others are in some way secondary to the fact that we can be fully self-conscious — aware that all consciousness, including of the other, happens within oneself. Rather than fight this, I suggest you experiment boldly with it. Ask yourself how much of your experience is relational and how much is projection. How much of the love you feel is love of the other, or love of yourself extended to the other? You may feel like you’re going to explode these days, and this question, asked now at this stunning moment in your astrological life, may blow your mind. I don’t think there are objective answers though I do think there are honest, interesting and pleasurable ways to navigate the hall of mirrors.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — My dad has Aquarius Sun, Moon and Mercury. In the 1960s, he was a young professor at what was then Pace College in Manhattan. Students there wanted to start a chapter of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) on campus, a leftie group. They could not find a faculty advisor, so he offered. But he was a conservative and they didn’t trust him. He responded, “I really don’t care what you believe. It’s not my business. As your advisor, my role would be to sign off on your meeting room, make sure the door is locked when you’re done, and so on.” The students said no, we cannot trust you (and it was obviously their loss). Without necessarily realizing it, we count on Aquarius people and that area of our own charts to ground this kind of objectivity and reasoned thought. Now that we are living through times as polarized as the 1960s, we need it more than ever. The place you risk slipping first is in your personal life, and the second is in your professional life. Keep a grip on reality, and a cool head. We are counting on your leadership.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — You have many plans and ideas, and during the past two years you’ve been restless about getting them going. This has picked up since the Scorpio eclipse two weeks ago, which served to remind you that you want to live in a much larger world than the one you’ve been inhabiting for a while. Your chart is offering two ideas. First, be mindful of your perceived limitations. Know what they are. They might be related to time, money, prior commitments or some other issue. Second, pay close attention to your local environment and see where you are transcending those limits, right now and without going too far. Notice who, close to you, supports your wider vision, and team up with them. Yes it is helpful when other people are not holding you to your past. It’s even better, though, when you let go of your own past and therefore make space to create something new for yourself. That is what’s happening now.

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Posses yourself, and your possessions will be more secure. Accept yourself, and you will find greater acceptance. Empower yourself and your power will grow. Regardless of your proficiency with mathematics, there is a divine form of arithmetic available to you right now. What you add will multiply. Where you subtract, division will result. Therefore, focus on what you can bring to any situation in your life, and what you take away will take care of itself. The universe is not asking you to act on faith. This is remembering what you know.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — True fulfillment comes only to those who are not full of themselves. Therefore be curious in every sense of the word. Practice being observant of your surroundings. Then, give free rein to your curiosity, and allow your innate capacity to take things in to take over. Also, rather than look into mirrors, practice being a mirror with a mission. If you make it your mission to reflect back to others what you love of yourself in them, they may think you a bit odd. Nonetheless, persist gently, and what others share of themselves in return will almost certainly fill your deepest needs.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — The middle road may very well appear to be off to one side or another for you right now. Try allowing that to be okay. This is not to say you are in any way off your true path. It is to say that your true path may be a little lonely for the time being. Try letting that be okay too. You need not fear that you will lose any ability to engage. What you do need to watch for is being less than true to yourself. Fortunately, you are at the steering wheel, and this stretch of road is probably familiar enough for you to make your way to re-engagement plenty soon enough.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — If fatigue has recently been an issue for you, a new and more wholesome remedy may be at hand. If, on the other hand, your energy levels have been acceptable, optimum performance might be just around the corner. The key to either ending a funky slump or shifting into a higher gear appears to be how much you are present in every moment, seeing your surroundings and immediate company for what and who they are. When you get right down to it, what’s either had you down (or at less than full potential) is probably somebody or something that is, in some sense, far away.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Spending time now counting your blessings promises to yield unanticipated dividends. That’s partially because the odds are you have missed as many benefits as you have noted in the onrushing flow of the past several weeks. Also, you might well have spent several months too narrowly focused on what you have been counting on. Pulling back to assess (or re-assess, as the case may be) does not mean pulling out of the flow, by the way. One blessing you may have missed is an expanded capacity to take more in while also taking more on.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — From the looks of it, your emotional investments are getting to be at least potentially (if not demonstrably) more productive and less exasperating. To stay on a roll (or get a roll going) in the next couple weeks, contemplate how and where previously separate threads in your life have woven together, and to what extent that’s happened at your suggestion. Also consider when and where you have recently practiced good timing — or not – that has enhanced the level of gratification or reduced the level of aggravation in your relationships.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — A whole new level of maturity awaits you. Fortunately you have plenty of time to reach it. Start now by setting aside five minutes of every day for an internal appraisal of your external possessions. Make a list. Begin with how you came to acquire each thing. Then, proceed to acquire some level of awareness regarding how each piece of tangible property got the value it has for you now. Though such a practice may seem at first an idle and arbitrary pastime, simple persistence and consistency should yield a more sustainable perspective on your life before this year ends.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Think wet cement. To work with wet cement you need planning, preparation, a sense of proportion, and enough time at the right time. It’s very possible there is at least one part of your life (if not your entire life) to which the metaphor of wet cement would apply now. Think of that which is not yet set in stone for the long run, or what is otherwise still in the process of taking form. Then, get clear on whether you have a plan, and what (if anything) you have been preparing for. Finally, apply yourself as if time is running out, because in some sense it probably is.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — Your intuitions are evidently working very well. Therefore, if something just doesn’t feel right, pay attention. At the same time, however, be circumspect about what you do in response to what you are feeling. If your intuitions have a downside right now, it’s their need for verification outside of your personal story. If possible, find an objective and impersonal way to audit whatever does not seem to add up. Then you will know whether it’s your attitude or your relationships that need adjusting.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — It appears as though you have caught up with something. If so, acknowledge both what you have done and those who have helped, then let it go. You have other things to think about. Because it also seems as though you are getting caught up in something at this time as well — something new and promising. To realize the promise and minimize any pitfall, ask yourself at the beginning of every day where you want to put your energy. Then, at the end of every day, ask yourself to what cause your energy went, and reset your intent for the next day accordingly.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — Don’t hold your breath. What seems to be impending probably has further to go than you may think right now. Besides, it would do you a lot of good to release what’s grown stale after having been kept inside so long. For the best results, think of yourself as one party in a fair exchange. Exhaling slowly so as to show the way will almost certainly be better than blowing anything (or anybody) down in an attempt to clear your way. That way, whatever form of fresh air you take in will better serve to clear your head than to turn it.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Congratulations for hanging in there so well for so long. It probably feels like a quite a while since your insides have simmered down enough for what’s outside to make sense. Nonetheless, it appears you have at least gotten the hang of how to adjust as needed to the consequences of your aspirations. Now begins a season of slow cooking, when it will be better to be fueled more by patient resolve than residual remorse. As with all cooking, you should make palatable results your top priority. Therefore, be moderate and act in good taste.

The Sun is now in Scorpio, having arrived on Oct. 23 with some fireworks — the Moon, Venus and the Sun entered within hours of one another, followed by a solar eclipse. So this time around, when the sky says Scorpio, it means SCORPIO. And This sign, as you may know, is the sign of sex. True, it’s also the sign of surrender, transformation and death — but it’s the sign that rules the genitals, and which is symbolized in some occult illustrations by the DNA double helix (dating back to before the discovery of DNA). Yet among the planets in Scorpio is Saturn, which is the lord of Take Things Seriously. Yes, some of the best comedians have a strong Saturn. People who can actually handle polyamory often have a strong Saturn. That is because they can set their own boundaries, and live with discipline that Saturn is the first to reward, and does so generously.

ARIES (March 20-April 19)
Good sex requires discipline. It’s not all about doin’ what comes naturally. Sex requires knowledge (such as from reading books and listening to what the old masters have to say). It requires the ability to be fully present, and the sincere desire to make contact with another person. This may all seem to go without saying, though I doubt it. The most important aspect of discipline is relational. There is the element of feeling and working with chemistry (rather than relying on control or dominance). There’s the element of mutual respect. There is figuring out what your partner really wants and knowing what you want. It’s all worth it.

TAURUS (April 19-May 20)
Sex leads to relationships and relationships lead to sex. Isn’t that wonderful? I think that if we were to start from this basic concept, we would have a lot better understanding of what to expect from life. True, people exhibit some inverted awareness in how much resistance they put up when the possibility of intimacy presents itself, and I suggest you monitor that particular gauge of biological and spiritual reality. Intimacy requires surrender, which is the opposite of resistance. Sex invites surrender, which is the opposite of domination and control. Try it — you’ll like it.

GEMINI (May 20-June 21)
Sexual healing is this thing that just about everyone wants and needs, and nobody knows where to find. The place to start is with yourself. Healing, in theory, leads the state of being healthy — so start with what healthy means to you and work your way backwards. But not as fast as I said those words. The concept of wellbeing calls for careful reflection, especially since sex has been made into a matter of pathology rather than of celebration. You might start with anything related to that one distinction.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Go for it — have all the fun you want, or all the fun you can. Your life will not go off the rails if you do. Planets are now collected in Scorpio, which is for you a sign directly associated with sexual fun. Yes, Scorpio goes deeper than that, and you will be taken there, in different ways. It’s also true that there is a boundary, a kind of limit, but the message of the planets is that what you may perceive as a limit in your bliss is gradually moving. Nudge it along. Experiment with your capacity for pleasure. Stretch and reach, in measurable degrees.

LEO (July 22-Aug. 23)
There is only so secure good sex can be. Yes, we try to cement that amazing emotional and biological experience into various forms of promise, commitment, partnership agreements, household arrangements or legal contracts. These are usually defenses against vulnerability, and a desire to preserve the good feeling. But what if you proceeded with no defenses, and recognized that the amazing feelings of sex and passion are temporary rather than permanent? Have you experimented with that? It’s a whole other world that can open up for you.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)
Sex is normally regarded as private, the most private thing, though I would contend that it’s the most public. When you step out the door, you advertise yourself, whether you like it or not, whether consciously or not. And it seems that no matter what pains people go through to keep (for example) their sex photos secret, they have a way of being published, distributed or seen by someone else. I suggest you approach sex from the other way this month, by assuming that the topic is open and available, experimenting with that and then finding the occasional secluded location or quiet moment.

LIBRA (Sept. 22-Oct. 23)
Many people don’t consider masturbation real sex. But then there are plenty of people who don’t consider sex to be real sex and have the best and/or only sex with themselves. For you, the two are closely related. Partner sex and masturbation exist in a close co-existence — what a biologist would call symbiosis. When you are flowing with your energy, one feeds the other and both support one another. One way to experiment with this is to make masturbation relational, that is, do it with partners or maybe even a friend. You may notice that both modes of eroticism, self-sex and partner sex, are a lot more fun as a result.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
The question is, what do you want? You are likely to discover many things that you don’t want, or that don’t serve you, and that may eliminate most of the possibilities on your list. That is the thing about desire — there are so many possibilities and in the end, so few encounters, achievements or material possessions that really make a difference. The thing to do here seems to be embracing giving up what you don’t want so that you make room for what you want the most.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 22)
Most people seem to keep their sexual fantasy life far from their physical reality. It’s as if there is this line that’s not supposed to be crossed, which extends into admitting what one really wants, even to one who might be able to provide it for you. The thing is, what you want, and what you’re considering, has so much feeling and psychic substance that you can barely contain yourself, and I would say you have no reason to. Ok, some people will think you’re weird (i.e., they are embarrassed). It is, however, time to smear this supposed ‘line of appropriateness’ like so much finger paint and mush those gorgeous colors together.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 20)
The power of desire is astonishing, and one of the most compelling factors in the erotic landscape. It is more compelling than beauty, attractiveness, money or aggression. The hitch is that this does not work when half-baked or half-felt. Desire is something you experience with your whole being, with your mind and body, heart and soul. It is a knowingness that transcends questions, limitations and ethics. And you have this power in your hands, and will increasingly as the days progress. What will you do with it? What will you choose? Will you include the optional factors of honesty and fairness?

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 19)
Ultimately, everyone is submissive. We must eventually submit to our feelings, to desire, to love, to the choices of others, to existence and to death. You may as well start with yourself — to any aspect of life that requires coming to terms with who you are. You seem to be on a quest for what looks like the evolutionary key, the key to your growth. I can give you a clue what it is: it’s the thing about yourself that turns you on the most, and also the one you’re probably reluctant to state outwardly to others.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
As the invocation of existence, sex is the original religion, in the true sense of the word — the ligament that connects us to the universe. You know this even if you don’t stand on the street corner giving out pamphlets saying it’s so (which sadly don’t yet exist, and would make a fun art project). Yet you are free to live as if it’s true; free, that is, as long as you practice the first law of liberation, which is discipline. Ok, I concede that at times revolt is the first law of liberation, but not now, not for you. If you seek sexual freedom, focus yourself, maintain awareness and choose wisely.

If you’re reading this, you just came through a rather unusual month, including Mercury retrograde, two eclipses and a wild ride of Mars in Sagittarius. The sky in November is less hectic, more focused and has a more serious tone. Serious is good — the aspects look productive, if you’re willing to bear down and maybe stay late at work whenever you need to. We will have a series of conjunctions to Saturn (the Sun, Venus and Mercury) and then something more potent than that: Mars conjunct Pluto and square Uranus. This is the month to get results. It will help immensely if you know in advance the results you want to get.

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Events this month seem destined to reveal the futility of jealousy and the thing it’s made of, which is the illusion of control. If you consciously give yourself the opportunity to be submissive to existence, you will find that you have more influence than if you try to run the whole show. I understand that you may be feeling the need, on one level, to exert your power. If you do something gentler, which is to stay in contact with your desires, and responsive to the desires of others, you will be able to get the energy moving in a way that allows a real exchange and also that brings you closer to people. This is subtle territory, and the land of mixed emotions. Stay close to your desire, informed by love.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Why are relationships so powerful in your life? That’s an honest question you seem to be asking yourself. I think you know that you need to get underneath this, rather than looking at it from the surface level, or from the viewpoint of the usual cultural myths we have about involvements with others. A particular situation or condition that has at times seemed stuck or resistant to change has indeed been a source of progress for you. And you may note the many ways the situation has evolved since it began. The astrology I’m seeing presents you with the following equation: the deeper you go, the more movement you will notice, and the more movement will be possible. You are about to enter a whole new emotional landscape, one where you will see how much freedom you really have.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — You have collected plenty of information the past couple of months, and now you need to review it all. If this information has involved a health issue, you will probably need to discard most of it and keep the one or two gems that will point you in the direction of actual improvement. I suggest you focus on matters of sexual health: maintaining and nourishing your Scorpio parts, your hormones, your desire. Yes, desire is a vital part of sexual health, because where the sex organs are concerned, life really is a matter of use it or lose it. Some people love to hear this and others cannot stand to. It is, however, a matter of elementary biology to which we are all subject. And when the biological aspect of living critters is happy, there’s a good chance the rest of them will be too. Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Sexuality is at the creative core of who a person is. What is politely called socialization is often a process of conditioning natural sexuality and creativity out of a person, usually when they are young. What is left is someone who finds change and motion difficult to experience; someone who is calcified. Your ability to feel, to create, to be sexual and to change are all related. They are related to both inner and outer movement, and you have the choice to encourage or discourage these qualities in yourself. I suggest you keep your life moving any way you can, in any way that feels appealing and even one or two ways that feel daunting.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — What is it that creates confidence? Some people are born with it; but for most people, it’s cultivated through experience. If you were to say to a young person, all the things you would prefer to avoid are the ones that will give you the most confidence, that might not sound so appealing. I am here to tell you that you’ve already built up that particular strength, and any challenges you might experience over the next month or so are things you’ve already been through in some form. As such you can draw on your wisdom and strength and come out feeling like you are indeed strong and wise. Note that when authentic, mixed with that will often be a touch of insecurity, which is designed to keep you on your toes.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Your chart strongly suggests that this is the time to practice speaking from your feelings. You have a lot of feelings to speak about, and you could just as easily, indeed more easily, retreat into silence. But that would only reinforce the illusion that you are in this all alone. And silence is a form of attempted control, and provides the conditions necessary for self-deception. The way to stay honest and in truth to remind yourself that you’re free is to share with others what you think and how you feel. You may have many reasons not to. I assure you there are several very good reasons to be bold and live as if your life depends on being true to your word about how you feel, especially when it counts the most.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — I have written many times that self-esteem is the most significant problem in Western society. There are bigger problems where people don’t have toilets, but on our side of the tracks, self-esteem is what you might call the plague. You’ve been onto this one for a while. I think you know what I’m getting at. Self-esteem regulates all other possibilities. There are some people who just naturally feel good about themselves and can live that way, though they are few and far between. You are going through a series of what you might think of as tests or experiments that will help you cultivate respect for, and confidence in, yourself. You have what it takes; you are strong and you have some energy. And you will be happy you passed through this phase of psychological growth — once you stand up and walk right into the territory.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — You are bigger than any situation in your life. I would also remind you that no situation is intractable — everything is subject to movement. Everything is subject to change. That fact of existence is your best friend right now, since you have a tendency to live so much of your life as if certain things will never change. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — Don’t let the pressure get to you — or rather, you don’t have to. You can if you want to, though your situation feels more urgent than it is. The sense that you are approaching some limitation or obstacle is more of an inner reality than an outer one. And there is a corresponding inner development — that of resolve and determination in a way that you have rarely ever felt in such a focused way. Yes, you are born under one of the most ambitious signs, capable of marshaling your energy like few others can. Yet as I am sure you’ve been aware, you must gather your strength in a new way, to meet objectives that you have yet to fully encounter. If you cooperate, the outcome is certain.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Often has it been said that only you have the power to change yourself. Yet this is either too much responsibility for most people to handle, or it defies some other logic that external factors are what really make the difference. This month Mars and Pluto form a conjunction in your birth sign, an indication that you have the ability to rewrite just about any facet of your existence. No doubt that is because you have not felt ready, though I suggest you question the role of your attachment to the past. People seem to think it natural that they get ‘set in their ways’, as if this were some kind of entitlement. That may be true, but you don’t want everything to which you are entitled — which would be a fine way to sum up the astrology of the next four weeks.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Clearly you are preparing for something. Yes it’s true, life is one long exercise in preparation, though this is unusual and you are in a particularly sensitive phase of that preparation. One element of your life to focus on is ethics. That does not only mean doing right by others; it means making sure you do right by yourself, and that you have taken care of all your necessary plans and details. Make sure that you hold others to the same standard: that we all keep our promises. Be sure you’ve read the books that you know you’re supposed to read, in order to be fully prepared for whatever it is you’re about to do. Proceed meticulously, take each step carefully, and gather your strength for the big move.

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Something you’ve recently learned or discovered about yourself now must be taken to heart in a relationship situation. Self-knowledge is the basis of any agreement you have with another person, and when you gain some of that (or what looks like quite a bit) it will necessarily influence your agreements with others. Or rather, it will if you are paying attention, and if you want to live sincerely. You have long known that you could not fit yourself into any situation or partnership that is smaller than you are. True, it’s the way of the world to try to cram ourselves into these situations, though such a compromise will eventually fall apart. You might start from the premise that no compromise is possible — not, at least, on the specific matters you have identified. And then what? Well, one solution to that puzzle is that you proceed as an individual on your own terms, and others will get to enter your life as individuals on their own terms. A relationship is not two people living as one, because in truth that is not possible. It’s two people acknowledging their mutual existence, respecting one another for their similarities and their differences. If this sounds like walking over a cliff, it’s because maturity is in short supply these days, though from the look of your chart, you are being called to tap into your deepest reserves.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — How you feel keeps changing, and that is the key to progress. If you are aware of the changes, then by definition you are aware of how you feel. That is the essence of your ability to direct the course of your life. All your other senses count, but your physical contact with your body and with your environment will provide your most intelligent guidance. That is a moment-to-moment reckoning with reality. You may be looking straight at the illusion that your existence is somehow about all these other people. They are involved, that’s for sure, though not quite in the role that you think. For one thing they don’t have the power to limit you. To the contrary, their role is to provide support, structure, and at times something to resist specifically so that you can assert your individuality in a meaningful way. There’s a big difference between doing this in theory or in fantasy and trusting people enough to stand up to them with your ideas. You don’t need to be defensive about this, though that temptation will exist. You also don’t want to put anyone else in a defensive position. Rather, you can assume an affect of neutrality, or of making an inquiry in the pursuit of truth. Set aside right and wrong for a moment, and allow your ideas to mingle with those of other people, and see what develops.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — For about six months, a topic has been on the agenda of a close personal relationship. It rises to the surface and then disappears. Sometimes it seems easy to consider; other times it seems too personal to talk about, and it’s the thing to avoid. Yet sooner or later you need to clear the air, with yourself and with people around you who in truth have a right to know what’s on your mind and share what is on their mind. In an intimate relationship, everyone needs to be listened to, otherwise it’s not really intimacy. Said another way, avoiding the most meaningful topics is an excellent way to turn down the level of contact, a way to make intimacy less intimate. Once you check for that factor and make up your mind how you feel about it, the next step is to have the conversation. You may feel intimidated by the weight of the past, or by how much there is to heal, when you write it out like a shopping list — though that is not how healing works. The larger questions all involve trust, and how to consider what has happened in the past. They are closely related. Trust is built and maintained, in a delicate process. Part of how that happens is that everyone involved demonstrates through their actions that they really have learned from history. That, and there are no more agreements to deny or pretend.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — There is a risk involved in everything. You flirt with this; it’s time to embrace it. It’s understandable enough that you’ve been cautious lately. You may have been knocked on your heels by some unexpected factor, and you needed time to review and revise your plan. What is essential is that you gradually draw yourself out of that aversion, use what you know and begin to take some calculated chances again. The key here is strategy, which you need to honor on every level — financial, creative, psychological and most of all relational. One central question is, what’s the role of others in your life? You might also ask what is the role of others in their own lives? These days you have a tendency to draw to you people who are fundamentally self-centered, and I suggest you learn to spot them before they gain any ground on you. It’s true that everyone needs to take care of themselves; everyone needs to eat. By self-centered I mean at the expense of taking care of anyone or anything else, and in particular, you. You will recognize these people energetically because you will feel depleted by them, and never truly nourished. Take the chance and move on quickly. You need partners who share your values, who share your ability to take care of others, and who can be self-focused with a very broad concept of self — all of us here.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — It’s not as complicated as it seems. It will be, if you try to analyze your emotions, and re-analyze them, and expect everything to add up to the same thing every time. To me, your solar chart says the place to start is to set limits, including limits on yourself. If you feel any competitive or jealous vibes, that is the place to start. If you feel resentful that you cannot express some deeply held need or even a basic feeling, that’s the place to set a limit, in the form of knowing that such cannot persist. If there is a need for leadership in your environment, everyone must play their role in a cooperative way. The challenge of your astrology seems to be finding a balance between being the center of your own world, and being part of the wider world. That balancing point involves being clear what you have to give. You are in an excellent position to offer support and affirmation, even though it’s clear that you are facing certain distinct emotional challenges. Yet as you acknowledge and work out these matters, you must stay a few levels above them, and a few steps ahead of them. Your planning must involve your probable emotional and physical state if certain conditions emerge, and include a plan to avoid those conditions. Be clear, especially with yourself. Be professional, including and especially in your own home.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Maintain your clarity of mind. There are forces in motion that are way larger than you, and they seem to be in operation in all areas of your life. You are not going to control them, but there are more and less appropriate responses. The more appropriate responses all begin with applied intelligence. Rather than being about how smart you are, this is about what you do with your information and your observations. It’s about what information you use to inform the choices you make, and knowing when you must make those choices. I assure you there will be moments when a decision seems too difficult, without enough time to think about it carefully. That is why you must be aware of your environment, prepare in advance to the extent that you can, and most of all, know yourself. The sensation of time as pressure is something to consider. Rarely will any perceived shortage of time be as urgent as you think. What is vital is that you set a structure for time, and work with a plan at all times. Set a deadline for everything. If you have to make a decision, make an inquiry and determine how much time you reasonably have. What feels like you have an hour may turn out to be two days. What feels like forever may be one week. Clarity of mind translates to time is of the essence.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — You must continue to be careful with your money, though if you are both cautious and shrewd, you can come out well ahead by one month from today. Financial literacy is something that’s sorely lacking in a culture that’s supposedly all about money. However, ignorance is not your friend, not now and not ever. Presently, there are practical matters that need your attention, but the larger theme seems to be a question of honor. I know those don’t usually count for much, especially where money is concerned, though at the moment this is something that matters a great deal for you. Honor translates to impeccability. It means that all your actions with money and finance must match your stated values, including how you earn and how you allocate your resources. It’s essential that you work with a plan, and with full knowledge of how much you have at any time. Money is a measurement of power, though few people see it that way; it’s more often a place where they feel disempowered or cut off. Nobody who is good at handling or manifesting money got that way by accident. At minimum it required a decision and at most a long series of experiments, challenges and lessons. Do your part to help yourself. Get serious about your finances. Get real about how important this is to you and the people who depend on you.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — There is a sober quality to your charts this month, though it may take you a little while to catch onto that. You will the moment you get your mind out of the clouds, and away from any idealistic visions of how things might be. There are times for idealism and there are times to be fully focused on what is happening right now. If you want to unlock the potential of your moment, if you want to have it be more than a dream or a potential, I suggest you take the grounded and steady approach to your life. What is required the most of you is commitment. Not the words or the idea, but steadfast action, sustained over time. There are days when you will need to be content with less progress than you know is possible. That is why you will measure your progress in longer stretches of time than a day, a week, or even a month. When things seem difficult you must not allow yourself to lose your gumption or to choose what seem like easier options. Easier is not necessarily better, though there will be times when you’re sure that it is. In just a few weeks, Saturn will begin the process of moving from your sign to Sagittarius. Saturn has been a consistent guide and mentor to you, and in the remaining time that Saturn is in your sign, it’s necessary to internalize the Saturn principle, which translates to self-leadership.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — You seem to be under pressure to get your life together, as if the responsibility gene has woken up. To me it looks more like the ‘be true to yourself’ gene is kicking you from the inside. You might say that’s the most significant responsibility you have, and at the moment it seems to be shocking you to your senses. Aspects this month may be sending you the message that this is your last chance to accomplish something of real meaning. It’s not your last chance, though it’s worth respecting the finite nature of time, and of a lifetime. Opportunities are temporary in their current form. They may reincarnate as something else, though the opportunity you have now is an original. You might be wondering if it makes sense to proceed based on a sense of frustration or limitation. For example, if you don’t resolve it before you make a move, will you carry that sensation with you into your next endeavor? There are two distinct schools of thought on this matter, one being that you begin something new exactly where you left off from the previous endeavor; therefore, never make a decision from a point of frustration. Another is that such a place offers you the necessary leverage, friction or motivation to break out of your inertia. Those moments are indeed precious, and I think they can be rooted in true strength.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — You must keep your cool at all times. There will be times when this won’t be easy. You are potentially the most volatile ingredient in any situation, and in every one of those situations you have something to lose. It is of course a blight on our times how many people live like they have nothing to lose, which is creating an increasingly reckless society. You at least know you have something at stake. You can remind yourself that you depend on your friends and your allies, and that you would have little to show for your efforts had you not had their cooperation in the past, and if you don’t have it going forward. So you have a good reason to be aware of, and to adjust, your responses and your tactics. One way to know you’re in jeopardy is if you ever get the thought that you can go it alone. That may be your one warning, valid because it contains the idea that the people around you are expendable, and therefore, it does not matter how you treat them or how they feel. Yes, it can be burdensome to think about everyone and how they are doing, all the time — and I assure you that such care and attention could save your career, your reputation, your business or an important friendship. And if you stay alert and even-headed, you will have opportunities to solve problems and regain your creative grounding.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — I suggest you read a little about transactional analysis. That’s the form of therapy that developed the concept of transactions wherein people play the role of adult, parent or child. Everyone is involved in these transactions all the time, it’s just that they are rarely called what they are. Your job this month is to maintain the posture of adult. In that role, you need to relate to others as adults when possible. That is the easy part. Then comes relating to those acting like parents and children in a way that is appropriate, and wherein you don’t come out of the adult role — the place where you are stable, sane and fair-minded. People know how to play games designed to get one another out of adult role. People are, for example, constantly setting up situations where they must be treated as children, in a real sense compelling others into parent mode. You must be aware of this, not fall for it, and if you do, get back to your centered, present, adult mind as soon as you can. This is going to take some focus, as there will be situations wherein you will need to be rather bossy. With them, I suggest you do an adult thing and make sure that you establish, by agreement, the priorities and how the pecking order has to work in order to meet pre-established goals on time and in good form.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — What is it that you said you’ve always wanted to do with your life? When exactly do you think you’re going to do it? There is something in your charts saying that ‘when’ is right now. There’s something reminding you to connect your longterm vision with a point of focus — that is, to envision, to look and to actually see. That might feel like a beginning, but the truth is you began long ago. What you have in your hands is a moment when you can gather your principles all in one place, and recognize their validity. You have an even rarer moment when you can see the shape of time, and work with it. It is vitally important you recognize consciously that you have a future, and that your future is your most precious resource. It’s even more significant that you become aware of your vision, and that you connect it with these other ideas — the future and the shape of time. As you know it is easy to squander time, and that translates to being easy to squander a lifetime. Every force of nature seems to be guiding you in a better direction, that of embracing your potential as real, and honoring your own journey on Earth as a matter of integrity. This is not as dramatic as it seems, though you may have to establish some new patterns of consciousness. Like all journeys, that begins with a single step.

The deeper your understanding, the more likely you will be to open up possibilities that you really want to live with.

TAURUS (April 19-May 20)
You can have some truly unusual conversations this weekend, honest in a way that you’ve never had before. This is the territory that most people want and that terrifies nearly everyone. Be brave, and speak your mind, describe your desires, ask what others want, and most of all pay attention. Listen for the connection. There will be odd, unusual and really beautiful places to explore. Just be prepared to bring some courage, and to be encouraging of others.

GEMINI (May 20-June 21)
You may think that talking about sex is not sexy. That’s the perception anyway, especially if alcohol is involved. I would say that talking about sex is the opening into the more interesting sexual experiences, the ones where there is a high degree of mutuality. Of course, anyone interested in using another person to get off won’t have much to say or much to ask. If you want contact, and if you’re showing up because you’re curious, ask and share.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Your worst insecurities may be acting up, but I suggest you not let that make you feel any more insecure. As you go through the next few days, take it easy on yourself and play the role of observer rather than participant. More than anything, observe your own life, and how different people and influences lead you to feel. It may take a week or so, though the weather is about to clear up and you will see that it was silly to have wasted your energy on what, in the end, did not matter.

LEO (July 22-Aug. 23)
Sex is about empathy. It’s about understanding. Seek understanding and contact and you will expand your erotic possibilities. Feel where people are coming from and you will be able to speak to them in a language they understand. Writing is especially helpful now, and useful because unlike with spoken words, you have the opportunity to revise before you make a statement. Revision is just that — seeing once again. That means seeing yourself, and whoever you care about.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)
Sex is not raw emotion. It can seem that way at times, yet the interplay of one’s feelings with those of another person is an intricate dance. It’s both the product of long evolution and the way we keep growing and learning. I suggest you temper any passion you may be feeling. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 20)
You may have recently unleashed some kind of social fury but don’t worry, it’s not going to affect your ability to get dates in a negative way. Aries (March 20-April 19) — Something that has made no sense may come into focus all at once, and then just as fast disappear like you had not noticed. It looks like a puzzling question or discussion point where the solution or the real situation becomes obvious, complete with the little tag about how it would be a good thing to write down because you might forget. For this reason I suggest you note your observation in some way, and in particular, how you feel about it. The missing piece, if there is one, is the feeling aspect of the scenario. If you are experiencing a loss of authority over your life, you may get a glimpse of the issue. I think it’s on the level of emotional connection. For example, you may seem to disagree with someone over an idea, but really it’s on the level of feelings and sensitivity.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You will know when it’s your moment to enter the discussion — if at all. Until then I suggest you pause, and remain a bystander. This is a potentially volatile situation, rife with potential misunderstandings. Though it may be close to you emotionally or in proximity, it does not directly involve you at this time. The thing I suggest you avoid is getting drawn into something that is not really about you, but that could become about you if you’re not careful. This will be a situation where you must consider very carefully whether to remain absolutely silent, or to say anything — and what to say, and why. I think that of all these considerations, the thing to consider the most carefully is the why. What exactly is your investment or your interest? If you come up short, I suggest you keep your distance.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — With any discussion of sex, clarity is essential, and it’s usually the last item on the agenda. It’s not only difficult to find the words to describe things, it’s also considered embarrassing to say those words. There’s also the fear that if there’s any real discussion of actual issues, for example, about sexual health, or the truth of what one wants or what one has done (to name two possibilities), the whole thing will be a turnoff. It’s more likely that the opposite is true. Move in the direction of what is embarrassing and you also move in the direction of what is the most daring and exciting. Embarrassment is a veil, and behind the veil there exists another universe. So say the words, describe what is in your mind, and go to another level of both clarity and fun. As someone once wrote, “Only the truth is erotic.”

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — An eclipse of the Sun is on its way, with plenty of other events between now and then. Most of what develops before the eclipse is focused in the angle of your chart associated with grounding and security. The way the scenario looks, currently events are unfolding that seem to jeopardize your sense of safety, or some stability factor involving home or family. Many planets are moving and shaking and will be for another week — and then all at once, there is a sweep of planets into Scorpio and the scenario vanishes like it did not even exist. It’s true there is one matter that needs your attention, but it’s something that you can handle, once all the noise and static is out of the way, and once you realize how strong and how stable you really are.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Be clear in what you communicate. That means read what you write before you send it, and consider what you say before you say it. The planetary setup suggests that small misunderstandings could get blown out of proportion. When you’re evaluating what you are relating to others, remember the idea of evil genius Frank Luntz: It’s not what you say, it’s what other people hear. That means consider and listen for potential interpretations of your message other than what you intend, and account for them. Understand what biases people have, and more than anything tune into where they are coming from emotionally. If you do, it will be easy to see that you must tailor your message not so much for your audience but rather for the environment that surrounds them. We live in tense times, and this is a moment of especially high anxiety. Be soothing, and work consciously to solve problems.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — As usual, the question of the day comes down to whether your love for yourself is conditional or not. There seems to be some new question brewing along these lines, though you may not have given it a name. Indeed you may have called it every other thing. It seems like you have every reason to approve of yourself, what you have to offer and the progress you’ve made — and you have one little gripe, grudge or disagreement with yourself. One danger you face is projecting that inner discord into a relationship. That would seem to take you off the hook, but really it would complicate matters significantly and cloud the simple fact that this all comes down to how you feel about yourself. If you are in some way disapproving, you might want to pause and ask why — and really get to the bottom of things. The chances are it was long ago, far away, and lurking around as if it still matters.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — You may be feeling, acting or speaking rather unlike yourself. The thing is, you know you’re still you. You know that nothing has really changed. It just seems like there are other voices popping up from your psyche, saying or thinking things that are out of character. I would ask though, are they really? Or have you tapped into something deeper than you usually access? Have you changed your perspective (literally, your physical or psychic point of view) enough to change your opinion? The current astrology may be subtly tricking you out of a long-held position, including the notion that you struggle to change your mind. You might think of that as the illusion of being stuck, which is merely a kind of ‘special effect’, and one that has never served you well. The ability to shift your point of view both rapidly and accurately is not just a fantastic creative gift — it’s a matter of survival.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — You don’t have to live with this uncertainty for long, though I suggest you make the most if it. Uncertainty is important, it’s helpful, and it gets a bad rap. I’m sure you’ve noticed how people rush faster in the direction of false certainty than they do in the direction of an honest question. I can promise you at least one thing from your astrology: If you ask honest questions, you will get real answers. They may not come immediately, and there will be enormous benefit in focusing on the mystery. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — There is power in chaos. It would seem that one of the only ways to get access to real energy is to turn up the entropy level. Molecules in a pot of water get increasingly chaotic in their movement as the temperature increases. Yet what the pot of water has going for it is focus. It has organization. There is a plan, which contains the chaos. For example, the heat is below the water and the two are separated by a metal container. Then it’s safe to turn up the energy and increase the chaos level. That’s about how your charts look. There is a chaos factor, and there is a precision factor. There is a plan. Follow your plan. Do not skip steps and don’t take anything for granted. You know what you’re doing but you still must follow your pre-flight checklist down to the last detail, and make every move with care and intention.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Be careful in any leadership role that you might have. This would be an excellent time to step back and play the role of the impartial chairperson, or better yet, as the observer, listener and finder of fact. Do not let on that you have changed your posture; merely pay attention, and consider carefully what you know. It will be vital that you put your data into context. Take no single fact on its own; consider it in the context of everything else you know. One other point, perhaps the most significant — I strongly suggest you not repeat anything you hear, nor that you tip your hand on any solid discoveries or observations that you make. There is the vast potential for misunderstanding, and that could compromise your reputation, your leadership position or any political advantage that you have. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — It might seem difficult to have any foresight right now, though I suggest you keep looking forward. Push yourself a little if you must; it is better to be focused on the future than on the past. As for what has already happened, all you need is to accept what you learned. That is the whole point. Part of that involves knowing where you stand; that is, where you are. Apart from that, the past will prove to be of little use. There is a kind of astrological hypnosis operating right now that is trying to get you to think in reverse or obsess over the past. Snap out of it. Get up to a place with a view and look out at the landscape. Once you have a perspective on the lay of the land, you will be able to sense where you stand in the flow of time. One message from the charts is clear — planning is less important than sparking up ideas, and noticing which ones excite you.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Make sure you keep negotiating every arrangement in your life. Don’t let anyone think anything is a done deal, or that you are signed on forever, just becasue. In service of that, I suggest you make no longterm promises but rather be clear that everything is a work in progress. There are plans in action that you will consciously need to pause and reorganize. Take authority, stop the show and have the conversation. By now you’ve figured out that you’re the only person who can stop a runaway reaction. You are also the person who must combine the ingredients and get the chemistry right, so that the right thing materializes. There are no guarantees, though you have more influence than you think, particularly if you are willing to scrap any plans or ideas, rethink your situation and start over. People may grumble but the truth is that you are the one who is in the position of leadership. Mars in Sagittarius is reminding you of that continuously, and it’s the thing to remember.
