Inner Space Monthly Horoscope for July 2012

Planet Waves

Dear Friend and Reader:

Venus stations direct Wednesday, ending its six week retrograde in Gemini. [I am covering this in two parts in PW Daily — part one is here.] We’ve experienced lots of unusual astrology during these weeks, including the Venus transit of the Sun, an event so rare that a child born this spring would have to live to be 108 in order to see the next one.

There are numerous indicators in the charts this month that family life is under stress. We know this — it’s not news; relatively few kids have parents who are able to be fully present for them. Yet astrology in the immediate vicinity is saying specifically to be cautious of decisions and incidents that impact children, which can span from how you respond to seemingly ordinary problems to domestic politics to monitoring their exposure to acts of war on television.

The Sun in Cancer (which began June 20) is a reminder to keep your energy focused at home as a high priority. There is a potent Full Moon in Capricorn on Tuesday, July 3, and the New Moon in Cancer on July 19. Mercury will turn retrograde in Leo on July 14 and stations direct in Leo on Aug. 8. This will be the fourth inner planet retrograde of the year — count on us for full coverage. If you would like some back story on what I’m calling the ‘solstice cluster’ of events, check this post.

Lovingly,

Eric Francis

Inner Space Monthly Horoscope for July 2012 | Eric’s Zodiac Sign Descriptions

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Material that’s been below the surface is likely to come bubbling into your relationships over the next few weeks. You know that none of what you’re addressing is actually new, and if you have not figured that out, that’s what I’m here to remind you. The questions to ask yourself are things like: What are my limits? What is acceptable conduct toward me? What constitutes a violation of trust? What agendas do people have? Up to a point, it’s fair to say that people are acting on you, though if you don’t honor your own boundaries, you will be the one who must take full responsibility for what happens to you. If you start coming from that position and refuse to be a victim, you will be able to keep hold of your own power and make healthy decisions a lot sooner.

Taurus (April 19- May 20)

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Focus your financial priorities. Even if you’re in a state of relative abundance, now is the time to plan carefully for the future. I suggest you take two lines of approach. One is to get clear about what’s important. There are a lot of ways your money could be directed, and some are clearly more important than others. Some of the most expensive things are entirely meaningless, particularly if you have them only for show. Second is I suggest you look for (and work with) non-cash forms of resources. This includes everything from ideas to people willing to help you to repurposing what you already have. Be bold about asking for what people don’t seem to need; bartering and other forms of exchange will be mutually profitable.

Gemini (May 20- June 21)

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Jupiter is now in your sign for the next year — and that suggests some bold adventures are coming your way. The key idea to work with is different. If you have a choice between options for what to do, try the unfamiliar one. If you want to read, try an author you’ve never experienced. Stretch the bounds of your mind, approaching problems from new points of view. You have a lot to learn from older people who are not your parents; they have different information, a different agenda and no power over you except for what feels authentic and persuasive. Yet the thing to remember is that all roads lead to a spiritual question. That question involves the nature of your existence and the extent to which it’s possible for others to dictate who you are. You no longer need that kind of influence, correct?

Cancer (June 21- July 22)

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — You now get an extended opportunity to see what you’ve been missing. You’re used to keeping yourself entertained with certain stories about who you are and about the nature of your personality and certain deeper psychic levels. You’re about to discover that no matter how well you thought you knew yourself, you were missing approximately half of the story. What’s more interesting is that you’re likely to remember that you’ve actually thought of this all before; you just forgot that you noticed it or figured it out. Therefore, take a circumspect approach to everything. Check in with as many viewpoints as you can think of. Some of your best guidance is going to be coming from your dreams, which will be an effective way to look into your blind spots and dark corners.

Leo (July 22- Aug. 23)

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Get it in writing and put it in writing. You would be amazed how much trouble this can save. Jot down the promises you make and those that are made to you. Where money or other property is changing hands, make sure there is a written agreement. Get contracts in employment or freelance situations, and make sure that everyone sticks to them. We will assume that the truth is on your side, and that therefore, documentation in any form will favor you, or favor everyone involved in the circumstances of your life. Remember that what is fair is fair. You won’t have to fight for it though you might have to assert your position with some emphasis — and if it ever comes time to do that, you want something to keep in your folder just in case you ever need it.

Virgo (Aug. 23- Sep. 22)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Early this month Mars leaves your sign after more than eight months, including a long retrograde. Mars moves forward carrying the fussy precision of Virgo. Though the more significant development is that you have learned to be more assertive about what matters to you the most. Not only that, you’re likely to have figured out what that actually is, and to have taken some chances on making sure that it’s a priority for you. The challenge you face going forward is about continuing to take the leading role in your own life. You’re vulnerable to the influences and persuasions of others, and you may not be in the mood to stand up for yourself like you’ve been with Mars visiting you. Just remember what you’ve learned about how easy it is, and how well it works.

Hello Virgo — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Libra (Sep. 22 - Oct. 23)

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Now you’ll get to see if everything you’ve been worrying about for so long was actually real. At least when you look at the very short list of things that actually turn out to be problems, you’ll have the determination to resolve the issues. However, avoid ‘solving’ things in such a way that causes you to go out of balance, thus creating more issues and the need for more effort. Assert yourself gently. Keep your mind on the whole-system known as your life. Rather than putting energy fast and furious into the small elements of what seems wrong, consider ways you can make many improvements with a few focused decisions. The key word is focus — a solid understanding of what you want to do and how you plan to do it, rather than committing to pouring out your energy.

Hello Libra — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Scorpio (Oct. 23- Nov. 22)

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — You’re having an influence on a number of situations much larger than you, though at this point you might not see how that is working. The astrology suggests you have the ability to tip the scales on situations that are hanging in the balance. Yet there’s a larger matter at stake, which is your ability to maintain a sense of the interests of everyone involved. In a sense, you’re the guardian of justice, and I suggest you only devote energy and attention to outcomes that are authentically fair. You have the ability to sway things any way you want, though the karmic stakes are a little higher than you’re accustomed to. If you’re not fair with everyone in your life, you will discover how unfair people can be to you — which is silly, considering how much you both have to offer.

Hello Scorpio — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 22)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — You may feel like you live in a glass house, but it’s more like the hall of mirrors. You will be here for a while, so I suggest you get acquainted with what you’re looking at. Or rather, notice that what you project outward will account for most of what you see in front of you. This is usually true, though it’s particularly vivid now. If there’s a message underneath the surface, it’s focus on yourself if you want to change your life. Though there’s no point trying to change others, few people actually remember this. However, the results you get will speak for themselves. If you change your mind or your point of view, the reflection you’re looking at will change — though like when you’re looking in a mirror, it may be in the opposite direction.

Hello Sagittarius — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Capricorn (Dec. 22- Jan. 20)

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Avoid the temptation to base your relationships on your attachment to the past, or to the way you think things were. It would only be a distraction, and you don’t have time for that now. You have many significant responsibilities to attend to, and setting things right won’t necessarily be a simple or fast process. I suggest you embrace that complexity, and make sure you focus on one agenda item at a time, starting with what you decide is the most important. If you do this with some persistence, you will build your confidence and gradually bring a sense of order to what may seem entirely out of control right now. One potential distraction is unhealthy emotional attachment. Do your best to keep your focus right now, and stand back from those who obsess over the way things were.

Hello Capricorn — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Aquarius (Jan. 20- Feb. 19)

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — You seem to be pouring more and more energy into an effort to get yourself unstuck in a creative or relationship situation — perhaps both — though it would help if you did one little thing: think differently. That’s another way of saying ‘not the same’ or ‘new approach’ or ‘reconsider everything’ or ‘take a chance you would not normally take’. This is something that has to come from the inside rather than from trying to change your circumstances. A thousand colors of paint doesn’t make someone a painter, nor does being naked make someone a lover. What matters is making contact with the spark of passion inside yourself, then having faith in it long enough to do something creative. It’ll also help if you name your fear of loss for what it is; that’s blocking a lot of energy.

Hello Aquarius — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Pisces (Feb. 19- March 20)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — You may not feel especially popular, though you’re having an impact on the people around you even if they’re not letting on. Yet the planets are suggesting that you shift your emphasis to your personal space and your inner world, and put some boundaries between you and groups of any kind. Being so available to so many people is not helping you, and it’s not the thing that’s making a difference in the lives of those around you right now. There are relatively few people with whom you want to exchange energy, and I suggest you keep your emphasis focused at home and on keeping your life interesting rather than large. Emphasize the quality of your personal exchange rather than expansion, and for now I suggest you put your emotional and financial resources into your home rather than business or work. A plant grows from the roots, and so do you.

Inner Space Monthly Horoscope for June 2012

Dear Friend and Reader:

This is the month of the Venus transit of the Sun — a rare event that is the ‘Mayan factor’ in this year that has been the subject of so much prophecy. We covered this event in great detail last Wednesday, in an article titled, “Transit of Venus: Embracing the Solar Feminine.”

If you happen to be in the right place on Earth, with the right viewing glasses (otherwise you’ll fry your eyes), you will be able to see Venus cut across the surface of the Sun. This is preceded by eclipses of the Sun and Moon on May 20 and June 4 respectively, and by plenty of other top-shelf rare cosmic activity, concentrated into a few weeks. I cover this grouping of events — an alchemical moment if ever there was one — in today’s Daily Astrology post. Included there is an interview with an astrologer named David Tresemer, who has written a book about the Venus Transit. He has some ideas about the surge of vital energy accompanying this astrology, and you should really hear him in his own words, which you can access at the bottom of the blog post or on Planet Waves FM.

I have just one suggestion: pay attention to what you believe. More than any other factor, what we believe dictates what we experience as reality. It does not dictate what is true — only what we experience as true. These events are all magnifiers of thought and experience in their own way, and the more life-affirming, creative and loving our beliefs, the more they will be magnified into reality.

Lovingly,

Eric Francis

UAC Coverage Concludes This Week

Greetings!

I’ve been broadcasting interviews non-stop from the United Astrology Conference (UAC) for almost a week. I taught my class on Astrology Storytelling last Wednesday, and since then have posted a slate of brief, fun interviews with astrologers and other fascinating people –including a psychiatrist, an ayurvedic practitioner, and Genevieve Hathaway, who writes our new Moonshine horoscopes and is currently living in Egypt. The conversations cover a wide variety of topics, and they are all available on the main Planet Waves blog, Daily Astrology & Adventure, located near the top of the page. I’d love to read your thoughts and questions about these conversations in the comments section there.

The interviews also appear on Planet Waves FM. There are clear instructions for how to access the coverage, which is in radio format.

Inner Space Monthly Horoscope for June 2012 | Eric’s Zodiac Sign Descriptions

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Aries (March 20-April 19) — You have a more central role in upcoming events than you may think, though I suggest you make every effort to define that in terms of service. You may feel an urge to provoke events, or fear that you’re going to be unduly influenced by them. It would be more helpful, and personally beneficial, if you were to take the role of guardian. Study the various situations around you with some vigilance and notice, in particular, where you may serve as a negotiator. In that context, your job is to look out for everyone’s interests, as objectively as you can. You may be inclined to stick to laws or regulations as your guide, though what’s more likely is that you come up with a solution to a puzzle everyone else thinks is impossible to solve — which in the end benefits everyone.

Hello Aries — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed). We will have the Gemini birthday reading for you as soon as possible! Please check this space, and look in your email from us.

Taurus (April 19- May 20)

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You don’t have to be in as much conflict as you are. You don’t need to accept what other people say is right for you, or the rules that they impose on you, which might seem to be the source of your inner tension. It’s easy to go there by default when your own inner guidance conflicts, or when you’re uncertain about what you want. This thing we call religion, by the way, is about people giving up their power of choice, then imposing that on others, and that seems to be a quickly fading influence right now. This is the moment when you take control of your desires. That means not letting them run you, not feeling guilty and most of all, resolving any conflicting values that might be present in your heart. As these weeks progress, you will find this more compelling, necessary and eminently possible.

Gemini (May 20- June 21)

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — You seem to be trying desperately to let go of an old concept of yourself, so that you can embrace something entirely new. You have chosen the right moment to do this. Here’s the thing to remember: do less, not more. You cannot aggressively release something; letting go is always gentle. You don’t need to push yourself open; you merely need to allow yourself to gradually unfold. As you do this, you may have the feeling that an outside force of some kind is working on you, though that’s an illusion. It’s very much an inner momentum that is carrying you, and certain outer circumstances that are facilitating your process. It’s essential that you see the usefulness of your environment, and take the opportunities that it presents to you, because they are every bit as synchronous as what is going on inside you.

Hello Gemini — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Cancer (June 21- July 22)

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Going deeper into your relationships is starting to come naturally to you, depending on one basic approach: being more yourself. Gradually over time, this has worn down your resistance to expressing and receiving actual feelings, as well as what seemed like the resistance of others in their approach to you. Now something else is emerging: healing an inner split that you may be discovering, even as it resolves itself. Indeed, the discovery is the sign that you’re making the progress on healing, so you have no need to worry about it. The reunion of you with yourself will manifest most noticeably in your relationships, where old problems with attachment, dependency and over-use of structure will seem to melt away. Though this transition might not happen overnight, it has started already — and you’re close to the tipping point.

Hello Cancer — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Leo (July 22- Aug. 23)

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Is there a difference between your public presentation and the person you are in private? It’s considered normal to live with this kind of split — even a right. But is it possible for a person to split his or her character? The mere attempt takes a lot of energy, and it’s a breeding ground for suspicion. Now is the time to align your motives, your desires and how you present yourself in public. Now is the time to have just one story about who you are, what you want and what you do. That story is the true story. I recognize that people have misgivings about speaking up sincerely, and can take that as evidence that there’s something wrong with them. If indeed there is something you actually cannot say, it would be a very good idea to stop and question your ethics. If the ethics check out, then feel free to speak up.

Spring Checkpoint: Individual Signs Now Available

We will soon figure out that it’s actually 2012. The recent retrogrades of Mars and Mercury seemed to create a delay, but really this winter and early spring has been a phase of gestation. Over the next four weeks, the energy starts to pick up pace dramatically, and we will discover where we are and that something unusual, and beautiful, is happening.

Even as we approach the truly beautiful potential of the astrology that’s developing, many people are struggling with their day-to-day lives. There are more questions than answers; the economic and political situations seem hopeless; the pace of existence is going so fast that there seems to be nowhere to get in a little meaning, or seek some peace of mind.

Planet Waves

Here is where astrology can help. Astrology looks at the longer cycles, and the deeper themes — and can help you see your life in context of the present moment, no matter how chaotic it may be. Context means a sense of where you fit in that will help you see your potential and make better choices.

For years, I’ve been helping my clients prepare for making the most of the astrology of the 2012 era. Based on this experience, and many years of study, I’ve prepared a set of readings for all 12 signs (and rising signs, and Moon signs) that guides you through this astrology, step by step. I cover the most challenging and energized developments of this spring, which includes eclipses, Venus retrograde, the Venus transit of the Sun, and then a few days after the Sun ingresses Cancer, the Uranus-Pluto square.

Each sign gets a half-hour discussion. These came through loud and clear, with strength and meaning. I spent a week designing and recording them, and I am grateful to be able to offer them to you as a tool to help you guide your decisions, as you seek deeper meaning along your journey.

Spring 2012 is a kind of checkpoint along the way to wherever you are going. But really it’s a calling into the adventure of existence, a bold invitation to go beyond your past limits and explore something truly new about yourself.

Signs are now available individually for an amazingly low price, cheaper than the paper shopping bag costs at Jimmy Choo — order your reading here. The report is getting rave reviews from people who are currently working with it, including these words from a customer named Donna: “OMG — thank you thank you thank you — just spent this morning listening to my [Spring Report] info, and am so blown away by the accuracy (and relief!) in this experience. Thanks so very much for your part in supporting this work and for showing up in the way that you do!”. Here is the link to order.

Please drop us a note if you have any questions.

Lovingly,

Eric Francis

Virgo (Aug. 23- Sep. 22)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — You may have several different goals, and several key talents — though your professional life has a way of proceeding on two distinct tracks. This may leave you feeling like you’re never quite focusing 100% and therefore never getting the full results of your efforts. Yet consider that these two paths may be supporting one another, rather than competing with one another. You have developed your brain more fully, and have learned the skill of experiencing yourself from two distinct perspectives. Now is the time to experience the power of synergy — the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. That is to say, the whole of who you are is greater than the particular skills or attributes that you possess — and this is about to be demonstrated to you in a bold way.

Libra (Sep. 22 - Oct. 23)

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Conflicting beliefs are one of the world’s most toxic causes of anxiety. Conflicting belief systems make it even worse — such as if you try to follow the dictates of science, religion and your family all at the same time. Yet I would take it further — the notion of a belief is the thing that we need to question, and your astrology is putting this issue under a microscope. Deep beneath all of these beliefs, there is something that’s true for you. You might think of it as your true cosmic religion — your actual point of contact with existence, which is not about believing anything. Indeed, it transcends anything as flimsy as something anyone could be convinced of. At the core of this is your knowledge of who you are, which is the source of your strength and confidence. And some tangible, life-giving information from this core being is on its way.

Hello Libra — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Scorpio (Oct. 23- Nov. 22)

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — You have two possible modes of action right now — quietly, from the background, and boldly, from within your ideas. Yet they have one thing in common: the less you assert yourself, the more influential you will be. Even when you’re directly offering an idea or explicit instructions, lay back a little and let people come to you; allow them to feel the effects of your presence. Another way to say this is, you don’t have to do much, or anything at all. Plenty is in motion around you. You’re having a profound influence on your environment from several different angles. They almost all involve processes you set in motion a long time ago. If you’re going to do one thing boldly, this is what I suggest: evaluate one particular contractual situation carefully, and make sure that everyone benefits.

Hello Scorpio — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 22)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — Let the bravery and innovation of the people around you be your inspiration and your guide. You have a lot to learn from them, and you’re blessed to know a few people who are truly doing innovative things. I suggest you concern yourself less with your own originality (that will take care of itself, in the end) and more with learning how others do things, especially when you notice they do them well. Observe the skills involved and the spirit of the endeavor. You understand by now that many of your most significant relationships are working partnerships, and if not that directly, ones in which ideas are exchanged. This is a perfectly viable purpose for other people in your life. Romance is severely overrated; dharma, or the path of correct action, deserves far more reverence than it gets.

Hello Sagittarius — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Capricorn (Dec. 22- Jan. 20)

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — You are changing in ways that you feel but have not necessarily put a name or a clear description to. Actually, changing is too weak of a word to describe what is happening; an unusual momentum of growth has taken over your life, and it’s now moving at full strength. What you’re doing is penetrating a kind of emotional veil that was cloaking your true strength from yourself. This is allowing you to emerge as someone who may have been clear to you as a child, but who was gradually fogged over as you became an adult. A simple way to express this idea is that your soul is pushing its way through the layers of your personality and into manifestation. This will not happen all at once, though you’re about to take a very significant step along the way.

Hello Capricorn — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Aquarius (Jan. 20- Feb. 19)

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — My old friend B’jamin once said that there are two kinds of people — those who drink water, and those who do not. We could probably write a whole book about all the ways there are ‘two kinds of people’, though the one that’s germane in your life right now is: people who are into art, and people who are not. There is the you who’s into art, and the you who’s not. Here is what your charts say: get into art. Get into people who are into art. Soak in art, soak in artists, and light your mind on fire and create the stuff. Don’t worry if it’s good. Just get busy with color, shape, form, sound and sensation. It might save your life; but really, it will make your life.

Hello Aquarius — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Pisces (Feb. 19- March 20)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — The whole planet is your home. Yes, this whole beautiful, crazy place — and everyone who’s here is your brother or your sister. If you’ve ever had any doubts about whether you want to be here, get over them now. If you’ve ever hesitated to fully commit yourself to stewarding this place, and being of service to the people who populate it, open your heart and give yourself over to your life purpose. You get to choose how you do this work; how you offer yourself, and what you develop. What does not change is your sense of contact with existence and with your underlying purpose for existing in this place and this time. In doing this with passion, you’re not giving anything up — in truth you will gain everything, particularly the confidence that can only come with an authentic sense of belonging.

Inner Space Monthly Horoscope for May 2012

Dear Friend and Reader:

The Sun is now in Taurus. May is the month of Beltane, that Pagan holiday that blends sex and money (which I’ve just introduced on the Planet Waves daily edition — additional coverage all week). The usual date for celebrating this ancient holiday is May 5. This combination of themes isn’t as strange an idea as it sounds, when you consider it in the context of fertilizing the fields with love and passion — the fields that will feed the community for the next year. Also in May, Venus stations retrograde. That happens in Gemini on the 15th, and it’s an invitation to review our history of love, and the odd tendency we might have to feel two ways about ourselves or people we care about. Venus retrograde leads directly to the Venus transit of the Sun on June 5. This is a rare event — the next one happens in 2117.

Lovingly,

Eric Francis

Inner Space Monthly Horoscope for May 2012 | Eric’s Zodiac Sign Descriptions

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Finally, you can make some progress, though lately it’s felt like catching up. That still counts. Don’t skip steps — make each decision carefully, focus on the details and don’t lose sight of the big picture. Elements of your astrology are making you restless, as if you have the feeling that something big is about to happen. You need to coexist as peacefully as you can with that sensation, and keep your focus on what you’re doing, what you’re planning and what you know is necessary. Integrity is crucial now, but I’ll remind you that integrity means integrated: the different aspects of your life working together, rather than separately or against one another. Part of making that happen means standing as a strong, focused center of your experience, and more precisely, the innovator of your own life.

Taurus (April 19- May 20)

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Remember what is important to you. Remember, and at the same time, learn. There is a message in your chart about seeing the other side of something — a way of life, an idea about yourself, a basic value you hold. You’re not typically given to exploring what you think is precisely opposite what you might normally do, though this would be an exceptionally healthy thing to work into your routines. You’re about to see how valuable it is when you can step out of your point of view and consider what you might have considered strange, threatening or irrelevant in the past. This is just one of many occasions you will have to reinvent yourself from the inside out. True freedom is based on your ability to adapt to your circumstances and your desires.

Gemini (May 20- June 21)

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — There’s an actual conversation going on within your soul space — not the usual gossip. You seem to be making an agreement with yourself about what it means to feel good about your existence. You’re working out this dialog in the midst of a world that seems to go increasingly mad — and the most reassuring thing you can learn is that you’re not crazy. One hint I can offer is, don’t try to understand what makes no sense at all. Perhaps understanding will come, but I suggest you focus on what you recognize inherently, and what speaks to you in a language you comprehend. You may always feel like you have two distinct entities living in your psyche, though the difference now is that one is willing to listen to the other.

Cancer (June 21- July 22)

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Something special happens this month — the Scorpio Full Moon coincides with Beltane, to the day. The chart looks like you become a magnet for many things that exist outside you or your personal space, that you would like to invite into your life more closely. This is absolutely positively the time to stay visible and be social, and to approach anyone you’re attracted to with confidence. Not everyone is going to respond — but that leaves many other possibilities. Keep the conversation moving. There’s an old rule about cocktail parties, where you’re supposed to circulate and not speak to anyone for more than five minutes. This allows you to taste the energy of many different people, while keeping the social environment light and flexible. From these encounters you will notice who you want and who wants you. Go for mutual — really, truly mutual.

Leo (July 22- Aug. 23)

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — The Sun reaches one of the peaks of its path through the seasons this month, arriving at the hotspot in your house of career, reputation and noteworthy success. This could have the effect of bringing what seemed like promise and potential to life. Therefore, I suggest you try your luck when it comes to anything involving the work you do or the reputation you have. Make contact with those who are in a position to help; they will be impressed by your sincerity and solid values. Current developments are as much about what you’ve accomplished in the past as they are about your potential now; right now the two are closely related. Keep your eyes on your vision of what is possible, which is to say — stretch a little and reach for what you think might be impossible.

If you have more questions than answers, consider this.

I suggest you get this report in its current form, where you have access to all 12 signs. This way, you will be able to listen to your Sun, Moon and ascendant, and gain added depth. You can listen to your opposite sign and learn something about how this astrology will influence your relationships.

All 12 signs are now available for $19.95. Later this week, they will go on sale for $9.95 each with no discount for multiple signs.

Individual signs will be available soon — please drop us a note if you want to be notified of when, or if you have any other questions.

Lovingly,

Eric Francis

Virgo (Aug. 23- Sep. 22)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Mars is now traveling direct in your birth sign, after a long spell of retrograde motion. You are now doing a lot better at working with yourself: at making goals and moving efficiently in whatever direction you set. This month you have a lot of support in doing that. What is most boldly emphasized is your long-term, long-range vision for yourself. Think in terms of the best possible outcomes. Allow yourself to think big, mainly by setting aside any concerns about the details that might hold you back. Once you catch the wind at your back, those details will not seem nearly as meaningful or significant, but you’ll take care of them just as well. The key is not letting any form of worry get in the way of what you want. Perhaps a tall order — but right now, not really.

Hello Virgo — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Libra (Sep. 22 - Oct. 23)

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — An old expression goes, “You cannot be fully committed part of the time.” Therefore, allow yourself to be fully committed all of the time. Set aside the idea that life is full of contradictions and paradoxes, and recognize the ways that your different talents, ambitions and favorite activities support one another. Right now many people are living with the sensation of ‘so much to do, I don’t know where to start’. Therefore, the most meaningful thing you can do is start, and keep track of where you are with each item on your agenda. Gradual progress on each item on a daily or weekly basis will be enough — for now. There will be a time when you select certain projects or goals and really accomplish something, but that moment is still a few weeks off.

Hello Libra — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Scorpio (Oct. 23- Nov. 22)

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — What has seemed like an impasse in your life the past few months is about to burst into more movement than you’ve experienced any time lately. You may feel like you’re exceeding your speed limit or some unspoken agreement that seems to limit your happiness. No such agreement is binding you today — though it may seem like one is, if you worry too much about how others perceive you. This is a message you’ve been getting over and over again — focus on people, not what you suspect their concepts might be. If you have a mission to accomplish or a role to play, the opinions of others matter not — the only thing that you need to concern yourself with is feeling confident you’re doing the right thing. You should know — you’ve thought about it long enough.

Hello Scorpio — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 22)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — You’ve been incredibly patient for a Sagittarius, especially during the past three months. You haven’t lost any ground — everyone else has been involved in their own version of working through seeming setbacks. I know that you keep getting handed these tests of your focus and attention to detail, and yet you may be discovering that it’s within your nature to work things out until they are just exactly right. This comes with a certain kind of pleasure, and the feeling of control — though when the moment arrives to let go and take your chances, I suggest that you do so boldly. You may soon encounter what looks like a narrow opportunity, the kind you have to fit sideways to get into. Yet you’re more likely to experience that as an invitation than as a deterrent.

Hello Sagittarius — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Capricorn (Dec. 22- Jan. 20)

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Remember that God isn’t always watching you. You’ve heard that ‘He’ is lots of times, and at least let’s consider that it’s a disturbing thought; what you do isn’t anybody’s business but your own. That is, it’s not if you don’t make it so; therefore, take your space. You might actually have to do something like experiment and consider the consequences later — if there are any. That’s the problem with thinking you’re being spied on: guilt makes it difficult to know what you’re really entitled to experience. Therefore you have to stretch that particular boundary and see what you discover once you do. One risk you run is the discovery that you could have had a lot more pleasure in your life, which I would rate as a positive, given that you’re still very much alive.

Hello Capricorn — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Aquarius (Jan. 20- Feb. 19)

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — If you have any fear of settling down into a space you love, now is the time to get over it. I am picking up some kind of ‘security phobia’ in your charts, as if when faced with the potential to be comfortable and set up in a solid place, you get nervous. You may not have always been this way, and I suggest you remind yourself of a time in your life when that was not the case. Part of any anxiety about things being good is an acknowledgment of how badly things can go on this planet; therefore it sometimes feels better to live as if they’re already that way. Though as Lou Reed has said (and I know I’ve quoted this before), you can’t count on the worst always happening. True fact — it hardly ever happens. Therefore, relax and discover.

Hello Aquarius — Eric has written a new description for your sign that you have access to from this link (no password needed).

Pisces (Feb. 19- March 20)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — You have not lost your magic touch — in fact you’re about to discover just how much stronger it’s become. One thing I suggest is that you concentrate your energies. Stay grounded; stay on-task. For the moment, you might consider remaining close to home so that you don’t distract yourself with the need to adjust or adapt to externals. If you are selecting from among creative projects, focus on the most daring, dangerous or experimental. If you are selecting from among relationship opportunities, focus on the desire that feels right, and that speaks to you the most clearly. Everything that’s right and true is going to have that sensation of concern that it’s a little out of bounds, a little too much. That’s the idea: keep your connection to the dark side, so that you can keep your connection to the light.

Aries 2012: Awakening to Awareness and Purpose

The astrological year began March 22 with a high-energy New Moon just after the Aries equinox. Mercury is retrograde in Pisces until April 4. Mars is retrograde in Virgo until April 13. As these planets station direct, the pace of events will increase rapidly. Indeed, April is the month that we really discover that it’s 2012. The pace doubles in May and again in June, so enjoy the relative calm and more than anything, point the vessel of your life in the direction you most want to go. You may not have much influence over the amount of energy but you have all of the influence over your intentions and your desires. Look in the direction you want to travel. If you can’t see the horizon, climb up on something high, and bring your binoculars. Look where you want to be.

Dear Friend and Reader:

This past weekend during the Sun-Uranus conjunction in Aries, I recorded the 2012 birthday reading for Aries. It came through loud and clear and is now ready for you.

Planet Waves
Album cover for Paul McCartney’s 1971 album, Ram.

As you know, Uranus — the planet of invention and invoking the future — is in your birth sign, close to the beginning of its long journey. What does this mean for you? Uranus in Aries reminds me of what used to be called self-actualization — the process of growing into your potential. There’s also something about creating your dreams, as Uranus bestows the gift of invention and an ability to envision the future.

Meanwhile, Pluto in Capricorn has been moving through your 10th solar house, which is offering a sense of grounding in a sense of mission — in a world that is rapidly changing. You’re perfectly situated to take advantage of these changes, because you can feel them intuitively. Your spirit is guiding you to evolve in a way where your talents meet the challenges and opportunities presented by the many turning points that we’re all facing. Those who have planets aligned with the Uranus-Pluto square are going to pick up more of the energy of that aspect, through the entire 2012 era (2011-2016) — and as someone with strong Aries in your chart, you definitely qualify.

The astrology of the moment is calling on you to be an independent person guided by your sense of mission — rather than someone who seeks your identity in others. This is not easy, though the course of your growth is calling on you to be strong in your purpose, and as such you will reach closer to what you know you’re capable of and also be an inspiration to others.

Your recording is presented in three parts — two segments of astrology, lasting over an hour in total, followed by a tarot reading. I use tarot to give a different perspective (images tap different parts of the brain and different levels of intuition). The report includes the charts and a photo of the spread, which uses the Voyager Tarot by James Wanless. We’ve also included access to last year’s Aries report, so you can review (and check the accuracy of what I said a year ago). Note, I also recommend this report for people with Aries rising — and those with the dauntless Aries Moon will find it motivating and inspirational as well.

Here is a link to purchase the report for $19.95. If you have an All Access Pass, check for an email — you already have access to this product.

Lovingly,

Eric Francis

PS: You might be familiar with at least one song off of the Paul and Linda McCartney album shown above — Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey — one of the truly memorable post-Beatles moments.

Inner Space Monthly Horoscope for April 2012. | Eric’s Zodiac Sign Descriptions

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Consider this a beginning, and pay attention to the conditions of your mind and in your environment. Make careful notes about your plans and your expectations. This is all in the spirit of applying conscious guidance to the flow of your affairs. What you have going for you is a simultaneous abundance of energy and ideas, as well as some really useful leverage points to make changes that have been overdue for a long time. Yet you need a guiding principle, which would come in the form of having an overview and some sense of where you are, what you want and where you’re actually headed. This is not the time for making impetuous decisions without any thought of the consequences. Yet if you focus and work with a solid basis for your decisions, nearly anything is possible.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Taurus (April 19- May 20)

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — The next couple of months contain many opportunities to shift your relationship to the past. At first it may seem like the past has an unusual amount of influence on you now, but what you’re seeing is something that’s always a factor. What is changing is an awareness factor — in particular, seeing how over-focus on the past divides your attention, as well as leads you to invest precious energy in circumstances that don’t exist. Yet it’s necessary to see this before you let it go. It’s necessary to see and notice any inner division before you can work it out. Where you go from there is another question entirely, but one thing is sure: if you’re honest and forgiving first with yourself and with others, many interesting options will open before you.

Gemini (May 20- June 21)

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Mercury is retrograde through April 4, and the few days surrounding that date may come with some turbulence, particularly in leadership situations or your professional life. Two suggestions may help you navigate these waters. Don’t push; rather, turn gently, and feel the movement of the currents around you. Second, insist on total honesty with yourself, and settle for no less from the people around you. In the spirit of ‘not pushing’, you may simply need to disregard the views of anyone who you discover lying. Or you may need to gently call them out. If the situation involves someone in a position of authority, be clear, be direct in a gentle way, and note how the perception of your authority or responsibility is influenced by your actions, though without that as a specific goal. Summing up in two words: Listen carefully.

Cancer (June 21- July 22)

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — If you’ve ever wanted to advance your career, or launch a major new project, the time is approaching. Through April you have a series of gateways that are related to an idea or revelation you had in late March. This may not be a new idea, though what I see is that you’ve finally figured out how to put the pieces together into something that’s quite original for you. It’s crucial that you implement your plan in stages between now and late June. Don’t try to do it all at once; start with the basics, or with one solid core element, and gradually begin to refine and modify as you build. You can expedite matters by working within a small group, if that group is focused clearly on your goal, and understands it well enough to help with the refinements.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Leo (July 22- Aug. 23)

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — A fog that has long shrouded your life has lifted, and you now have the benefit of being able to see far into the distance. As you look out at the horizon you may notice that your imagination is stirring to life again. That would come in the form of seeing first clear sky, then some intangible forms taking shape, and then a kind of animation. The idea here is to visualize what you want to happen. Visualize something different for yourself. Fully claim the power of inner seeing, and the influence that has over what actually manifests in your life. You’re now free in a way that you were not free before: in a way that liberates your spirit from day to day; free to move around and more than anything, free to see both yourself and the world from many different points of view.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. Introducing the Planet Waves 2012 Spring Report by Eric Francis

Spring 2012 is the wildest season I’ve ever seen in 18 years of doing around-the-clock astrology [listen to short audio preview here]. It fits the 2012 pattern of ‘everything, all at once’, even making that sound like an understatement. I am working on the report even as we edit this issue, and it’s coming out beautifully — every sign is coming through loud and clear and distinctive.

Planet Waves

We have retrogrades of all three inner planets involved — Mercury, Venus and Mars. There is a rare Venus transit of the Sun — an exact conjunction of Venus and the Sun that you will be able to see if you have a clear view during daylight hours (you will need special equipment to protect your eyes). There are eclipses of the Sun and the Moon. And then, just four days after the Cancer solstice, we have the first exact square of Uranus and Pluto.

In honor of putting all this action to work for you, I’m preparing a special Spring Report for all 12 Sun signs and rising signs, as well as an introduction to the astrology that will be useful to everyone. This is a package of all 12 signs for one price. I’m designing it so that you can actually put many of the signs into use — for example, Virgo will be able to use the Gemini report as a career reading. Pisces can use Virgo’s report as a relationship reading, and so on. I give suggestions at the end of each sign, and will do a detailed description so you can get maximum use from this product.

All 12 signs are now available for $24.95. The report is getting rave reviews from people who pre-ordered, including these words from a customer named Donna: “OMG — thank you thank you thank you — just spent this morning listening to my [Spring Report] info, and am so blown away by the accuracy (and relief!) in this experience. Thanks so very much for your part in supporting this work and for showing up in the way that you do!”. Here is the link to order. Thank you, and enjoy.

Virgo (Aug. 23- Sep. 22)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — You’re drawing near the end of a long phase of review, in particular, of the whole matter of desire. This is a controversial subject and I trust that when you wandered into this project, you discovered that it’s a region where healing is necessary. Much of that has come in the form of understanding the role of guilt in your life; as you know, its effects are toxic, but there’s just so much of the stuff that we might think there’s no escape. There is a way out, and it comes with a decision — one that you may have been holding off on making, despite all that you’ve learned. Think of your desire as the irrefutable truth. What you do with it is another question, but I think you’ll find some authentic peace in simply letting it be what it is.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Libra (Sep. 22 - Oct. 23)

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Venus begins its journey across Gemini this month — where we will all experience the Venus transit of the Sun in early June. That’s two months away, but it’s an event so rare that you’re likely to be feeling the energy rising now. The theme, for you, is healing a false split in your mind. At some point, what was considered ‘spiritual’ may have divided off from what is considered ‘unspiritual’. Usually this kind of moral divide involves love and sex, which is constantly cast in an aura of impurity. However you may have decided in the past that this is not true, you’re now at the point where you can embody the message fully, and then continue with your life from a new place of confidence. Affirm with the full power of your faith that love is all that matters, and proceed as if that alone is true.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Scorpio (Oct. 23- Nov. 22)

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Mars — the oldest of the Scorpio planets — finally stations direct this month, and I trust that by now you’ve figured out who your friends are, and who they are not. You’ve had a few false hopes dashed, and have replaced them with some practical plans to do the things you want the most. If you haven’t arrived at that step, make a list of three things you’ve always wanted to do, and plan to do them this year. I suggest that you get to at least one of them by the time this month is over, and the other two by the end of June. Get some momentum going. The key to wish fulfillment for you is to be specific. Know what you want, in particular. Forget about why you want it — that may be the thing you discover last.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 22)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — You’re at the point where your plans are starting to materialize, and maybe even bear fruit. But I suggest you make an offering of pleasure, in the spirit of Beltane (which for everyone else is around May 5 but for you is all of the coming month). I suggest you do things that celebrate your abundance: a gathering or two of your true friends and supporters, an investment in your career (such as a new piece of gear) and an update of your business plan. There’s one other — in the spirit of Beltane, I suggest you offer at least one experience of erotic pleasure to the Earth, the Universe or the Goddess (however you think of it) as a fully conscious affirmation of where you want your life to be going. Celebrate healing, freedom and most of all, the fact of being alive.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Capricorn (Dec. 22- Jan. 20)

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Leadership implies service. When the service aspect is removed, obsession with power rushes into the space, which is precisely not what you want. There are at least two levels to what you offer the world. One comes from the visible aspect of your position: what you’re expected to do, and what you observe needs to be done. The other is subtler, even covert. It’s what you do for others because you can make it happen. You’re the one who decides whether any such action is ethical, and whether you’re willing to face any consequences (the first question is the more important one). Then you act because you can. This may involve assisting someone through an obstacle they could not get past on their own. This may give you an idea — how to do this for more people.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Aquarius (Jan. 20- Feb. 19)

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — You may not feel like you’re making the progress you want — as if part of you wants to lurch forward while some other part of you is holding off. I suggest you resolve the tension by deferring to the voice that is hesitating. I can see something in the charts that you may not be able to see from your viewpoint in the world — which is that there’s a doorway you can go through. Visualize yourself in a dark room, so dark you cannot see where you are. But you have other senses: you can feel the surfaces around you. You can make a sound and estimate the size of the space. If you proceed slowly and thoughtfully you’re more likely to find your way out — and that is what your astrology is suggesting you do now.

This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Pisces (Feb. 19- March 20)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — One of the boldest themes in your chart right now is how you acquire and use resources. This includes money, though I am using a word that expands the idea to any available materials which you can put to work for a creative purpose. One feeling connected to this experience is that of drawing energy, ideas and funding from a broad base of support. Another is a stark reminder to apply those resources in ways that are authentically representative of who you are and what you want. This is indeed the time to vote with your wallet, but the thing you’re voting for is yourself. Think of every dollar, quid or euro you spend as an affirmation of what you truly believe. If something doesn’t stand up to the test, don’t make the investment.

Inner Space Horoscope for March 2012

Dear Friend and Reader:

March is the month of the vernal equinox here in the Northern Hemisphere, and this will be a vibrant, exciting moment. The Sun ingresses Aries on March 20 in a conjunction to revolutionary, inventive Uranus, then makes a square to Pluto — an echo of the future when, during the next three months, we begin to experience some of the most amazing astrology of our lifetimes. Mercury is retrograde in Aries from March 12 through April 4. Mars in Virgo has also been retrograde since January; it turns direct on April 13. For more highlights about spring astrology, I suggest you check out the audio introduction to the Spring Report, which takes you through the many odd, beautiful and unusual events of the coming season.

Lovingly,

Eric Francis

PS: For those who are following this week’s astrology of many turning points (signified by Sun square the lunar nodes), please check out this post covering the topic, as well as another one on today’s Michigan Republican primary.

We’re offering it at a special pre-sale price for current subscribers and customers — all 12 signs for $19.95. Once the report comes out, it will go on general sale for $24.95. The report will be ready by March 7, well before the spring equinox — I’m working on it now and it’s coming out amazing. Here is the link to pre-order. Thanks for signing up.

Inner Space Horoscope for March 2012 | Eric’s Zodiac Sign Descriptions

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Aries (March 20-April 19) — There is a clairvoyant quality to your charts right now, so much that I’m tempted to ask you what you think is on the horizon rather than try to tell you. That said, you have an open channel of spiritual communication that will prove to be helpful in the coming months. That might turn out to be challenging, given that you’re experiencing so much activity, potential and the need to take your responsibilities seriously — but I ask you, when else do you need to be guided from the soul? No matter what is happening, no matter how dramatic or challenging your life may be, you have access to a deep inner current of intelligence. The only requirement is that you ask, and that you listen for the reply. Ask sincerely and listen carefully and you’ll be told everything you need to know.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Taurus (April 19- May 20)

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Take care of yourself. Take care of your mind, and take care of the place you hold in the world. Both are precious and deserve to be treated that way. You may be feeling on top of your game, however I would propose that your situation is more delicate than is obvious to you. If you’re not using your relationship experiences as a mirror and a template for growth, you may be missing some key opportunities that are not available on a regular basis. It’s true, you can make nearly any decision at nearly any time, but your experiences are offering you a perspective on ‘the other’ that can, if you pay attention, reveal a lot about what you want from life. If you’re obsessed over what you don’t want, I would propose taking another approach. Being affirmative will provide a more direct path.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Gemini (May 20- June 21)

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — This is a magnificent moment to both shine and do so in a way that is actually unique, meaning unique to you alone. You have no obligation to conform to anyone — you never did, but the temptation is always present. I don’t suggest you be different for its own sake, but rather that you have a license to celebrate and pursue your dreams while honoring your integrity as an individual. This shows up many ways, but most vividly in your freedom to have your own viewpoint of a situation, which may differ from every single person you know — and especially in pursuing a quirky, unusual and rather daring dream that you’ve been keeping to yourself for a while. The beauty of the moment is that you are already the person you wish you could be; now all you have to do is get out of your own way.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Cancer (June 21- July 22)

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Achievement does not come easily to you; you care too much about your fellow humans to lie, steal and cheat — the usual ways people find ‘easy’ success. That said, you’re in a moment where something special is about to open up, and it looks a lot like some kind of vibrant, beautiful success at something that’s deeply personal to you. But I would add a few words of caution. It’s still possible for you to make mistakes, and small mistakes can go a long way toward taking the momentum out of much greater possibilities. Therefore, no matter how brilliantly you’re doing, pay attention to every step and every communication. I’m not saying be stilted; I am saying be aware, correct your errors promptly, and understate your achievements. Pride is unbecoming of true success, and the world is watching.

Revolution.

23) — You’re the very essence of faith in yourself — except when you’re not. I would argue, however, that the chart setup for Leo is the perfect expression of what used to be called humanism — which in the words of Wikipedia’s writers is “a philosophy or world view that focuses on human values and concerns, attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters.” The thing is, as you may know, this is a path to a sensible, useful spirituality, one that is not weighed down by dogma. At the moment you’re a walking expression of this philosophy in action. You don’t need something outside yourself to feel your place in the cosmos, or like you belong on the planet. Many others around you are noticing this in your words and actions, and learning something precious.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Virgo (Aug. 23- Sep. 22)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Mars will be retrograde in your sign through mid-April, and first I want to check in with you on the essential themes of this transit: going beyond self-criticism; learning to state what you want directly; devotion to helping yourself first so that you will be much more effective in service of others. Of these, the first is one of the most debilitating issues that you face. You probably know this, and you’re looking for a way out of the paradox that if you don’t notice your own errors, you’ll never get out of them, but noticing just seems to make matters worse. The thing you need to be vigilant about is violent impulses that you might direct toward yourself rather than observing. It’s possible to observe using assessment rather than judgment, which works a lot better when making self-corrections.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Libra (Sep. 22 - Oct. 23)

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — In the coming months there will be a lot going on in your relationships, though despite the many surface-level changes and some jarring events, you can depend on a level of structural stability. That’s the thing to count on when the momentum starts to pick up and you wonder where your life is going all at once. You’re not really going anywhere other than where you put your feet. Motion is not the real issue, anyway — your astonishing sensitivity is. Therefore, if you find yourself responding strongly to things that loved ones say to you, or to the events that seem to skate out of your control, I suggest that you ground in yourself, pause and filter out some of the external factors. If others cannot feel you quite so well, you can at least start by feeling yourself and gradually putting those feelings into words someone else can understand.

Revolution.

23-Nov. 22) — This can be a really interesting, as in gorgeous, month for sex — though it will help if you remember the difference between giving and receiving. Yes, they are closely related and some people ‘get’ pleasure from that of others, but there are still differences in the energy flow when you offer and when you open up and receive. The difference can resemble that between inviting yourself to someone’s house, or extending a gracious invitation. It can be as daring as being available to explore someone’s fantasy with them, setting aside your own scenario and playing the role that is the most fun for them. As for receiving — there is a certain generosity in truly embracing what another offers you, and that is something I suggest you cultivate. For you, in a similar light, there is no such thing as ‘too generous’.

Revolution.

22-Dec. 22) — You’re going to be in a bold mood to experiment as the month unfolds, though I suggest you think before you act. To you, that may feel like hesitation, and if that’s the case, then I suggest you hesitate before you act. The difference, however, is that thinking is an active process of reflection, not merely momentary fear. I suggest you parse out the potential consequences of any particular adventure. From the looks of your solar chart, you may be feeling like you have no limits, therefore, I suggest you be the one to set some conscious limits, or at least moments of review. You can easily get drawn into the energy fields of others, through various forms of erotic play and romance. Make sure you have your wits about you. Simply put, there are some choices that take very little time but which have effects that last a really long time.

Revolution.

22-Jan. 20) — Bono has a line of poetry that I’ve pondered for years: “You don’t know if it’s fear or desire.” Now is a fine time to do a study on the differences. You’re living in an entirely new environment right now, whether we’re talking about physical location or an emotional state. Many things you previously held as permanent are showing signs of coming unstuck. Many emotional tendencies you’ve lived with your whole life are suddenly coming under the microscope. I see in your charts a deep craving to know yourself, even if these new developments are shaking you at your roots. The brilliant observation contained in Bono’s line is that there is a fine line between fear and desire, and sometimes we’re afraid of what we want the very most.

Revolution.

20-Feb. 19) — Aquarius has a reputation for liking to think, and I sure hope it’s true for you. For the next few weeks your mind will be less like a think tank and more like a furnace of hot ideas. I suggest that you try something radical, which is pick them up one at a time and dunk them in water. Cool them off, pick them up and see what you’ve got in your hand. Then, if you feel so inclined, gradually shape it into something that you want to work with. This is to say, ideas are one thing, and what you do with them is another thing. The mind can put out incredible amounts of power — and how you harness that power determines whether your creativity is useful or not. You may not be inclined to slow down for long enough to actually figure out what you’re thinking, though I suggest you give it a try.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

Pisces (Feb. 19- March 20)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Neptune, the planet most often associated with Pisces, is now a feature in your sign, which means in your life, through 2025. This offers you some awesome potential — but you’re the one who has to bring the focusing power and personal discipline. (Pisces rising people, please take note as well.) It’s the challenges that will offer you the opportunities for discipline, and most of them will involve your quest to be a whole person living a balanced life. There’s lots of talk about this, but hardly anyone knows what it means — nor can they tell you what it means for you. I would propose that in addition to food and rest, balance means expressing yourself in ways that are satisfying and remind you that you’re alive. Twitter won’t work. Painting, photography and music will work a lot better.

Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. has been published and is available. It is still available at the special subscriber discount price for all 12 signs, or the order price per sign. This year’s annual offers an extended written report plus 90 minutes of audio for each sign and rising sign. You will love it.

News About 2012 Annual Edition — and Your Monthly Horoscope

Holiday Market at Grand Place, Brussels, Belgium. Photo by Eric Francis.

Dear Friend and Reader:

We’ve arrived at the last mailing of 2011 — what a year it’s been. At the end of this note, I’ll include a few flashbacks to some key events of the past 12 months. Being involved with the news, I’m accustomed to seeing a lot of water going by under the bridge, but this year has been phenomenal. The wave of energy that rippled around the globe was the first blatantly obvious result of the Uranus-Pluto square: the one that was long ago described as being part of the cycles of revolution.

The first exact contact of that square takes place in May 2012 and the last for this cycle in 2015 — so this is the beginning of a long and unpredictable ride. The world we know will indeed be a different place on the other side of this rapid, concentrated flow of events, and we’re just about to slip into the vortex.

Work is progressing on your 2012 reading, part of the annual edition of Planet Waves — Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check. Since 2012 is an extra special year, I am doing an extra special job on the annual. This year’s edition will include extended written readings — and a three-part audio reading that I promise comes close to a personal reading with me. I give a careful, easy to follow account of your astrology, that is both thorough and designed to be highly motivating.

Since you’re a subscriber to Planet Waves or Light Bridge, you can get the subscriber discount at this link. You may use this for gift purchases as well. If you would prefer to purchase individual signs, then use this link. I strongly suggest working with your Sun and rising sign, and if you’re a Moon child, your Moon sign as well.

Don’t forget to check for Part Five in the Top Five Events of 2012, when I will offer my view on the Mayan calendar turning over. I plan to have that, along with a regular edition of Planet Waves FM, by the end of the week.

Lovingly,

P.S. Here are three flashbacks to 2011: My analysis of the Tucson shooting (which looks at the theme of gender rage, and discusses Eris and Chiron), Here at the Edge of the World, an article on Atlantean themes which discusses the nuclear predicament, and an article called With Love from Borasisi, which indirectly predicted the Fukushima situation that happened just one week later. Okay one last — here is a bonus memory, on a much lighter note — my article about the 13th sign hoax, called You Are Who You Are.

I’ve finished Planet Waves FM just in time to include it with this mailing. In this edition I recap some of what happened in 2011, and how this is just a warmup for 2012. I reprise the song Fingers by Roxy Rawson, and take a look at her natal chart. Then I look at the super interesting current astrology, including Sun conjunct Pluto in Capricorn, and Mercury conjunct Pholus. All in all, this podcast might be a pleasant way to spend an hour, worth it entirely for Roxy. spend an hour, worth it entirely for Roxy. I’ve just looked at her website — she’s raising money to mix and master her first CD. If you’re someone in a position to help out — I am sure she would be most grateful for that.

This is the last regular edition of Planet Waves FM but I’ll see you later in the week with the last installment in the Top Five Events of 2012.

Last Days of 2011: Watch What You Say and What You Drink

As 2011 turns over into the fabled 2012, we get a couple of common-sense cautionary notes from the astrology. The Sun makes a conjunction to Pluto on Thursday, something that happens just once a year. An aspect that focuses the will into a laser, this is astrology advising using your creative power carefully. Actions speak a lot louder than words, and focusing your mind before you take action will go a long way toward ensuring the right outcome. Meanwhile, Mercury is making a conjunction to a potent minor planet called Pholus, which has two notable effects: it can cause a release that’s difficult or impossible to contain; and it warns against misjudgments when the mind is impaired by any intoxicant, especially alcohol. Words spoken now can have effects far beyond what you understand or intend. Put these factors together with Sun-Pluto and there is a potentially volatile combination that urges awareness, conscious decision-making and sobriety. By sobriety, I include proceeding from motives that you actually understand, and following thought patterns that are guided by logic that you stop and verify when necessary. As the 2012 astrology develops, we will need to use these tools as if it really matters.

Planet Waves has a special area devoted to 2012 issues, including a place to get detailed astrology readings that I am now preparing. I will also be continuing my Top Five Events series tomorrow, which you can access for free here. I’ll also repost a 12-sign feature from one year ago, if you would like to review your 2011 astrology.

Aries (March 20-April 19) — You’re discovering the value of taking care of your health, in terms of the details rather than the broad strokes or general goals. Among the larger themes, however, it’s clear that your habit of pushing yourself too hard seems to be coming to an abrupt halt. I suggest you be grateful for any minor problems that will serve as wakeup calls or call your attention to more important issues. Focus on your relationship to food, and by that I mean scrutinizing every bite that you put in your mouth. In the midst of a moment of awakening that is encompassing all areas of your life, it’s imperative that you turn general goals into highly specific ones. The moment you identify something general you have as an objective, come up with three specific ways to make it real.

Aries, your birth sign or rising sign, is getting a transit from the planet Uranus — which is a wild wakeup call, and a bold creative influence. I’ve recorded an hour of astrology and a tarot card reading for you. Learn more by visiting this page.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You’re limited only by what you believe, and most of the time your beliefs belong to someone else. To resolve this riddle you would have to take two steps. One is figuring out what your beliefs are, and the second is figuring out where they came from. One way to identify a belief is to identify a limit that you experience. You seem to be involved in a struggle that involves creative risk-taking, or taking any risks at all. You could ask yourself how far you want to take hesitating to express your ideas or your desires. The problem seems to be not that you avoid taking large risks, but rather that you avoid the ideas that might lead you to experiment. Can an idea be dangerous? The answer is yes, but the real question is: to whom?

I’ve recorded an hour of astrology and done a tarot reading especially for you. It’s information that will help with your relationships, your professional life and your personal growth. Visit this page to find out more.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — You may find yourself getting mixed up in something larger than you bargained for, and you may have a corresponding idea that there’s no turning back. You seem to have put considerable thought into your choice to make a commitment, without necessarily realizing the ways in which you would have to take some significant steps in your personal growth in order to come through. However, commitments always involve others, and I suggest you open up a clear, authentic conversation with the person you’re involved with — no doubt someone you consider more powerful or influential than yourself. You still have time to get to a point of absolute clarity about your agenda and theirs, and to work out any differences or misunderstandings in advance of taking the next step. However, this will take actual honesty and careful listening.

Gemini is one of the most misunderstood signs — and as someone born under this sign, part of your role is to hold a mirror to the world. I’ve recorded an hour of audio for you, plus a 20-minute tarot reading. You can get access to these by visiting this page.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — It’s time to get a grip on your insecurities. They may have worked for you for a while, but the risks of dragging around what amount to psychic shackles are increasing regularly. In other words, hesitation or doubt that may have lacked an obvious effect in the past could become much more costly now. Life is a process of trial and error, but that’s another way of saying that it’s about using what you learn. One question seems to be how soon you do that, once you’re in possession of vital information. Which leads to another point: what constitutes vital? For the next few weeks, assume that anything anyone says to you is potentially meaningful. Then scrutinize their opinion, look more deeply at the issue and make a conscious decision how much it means to you — and what you want to do about it.

I’ve recorded an hour of astrology and done a tarot reading especially for you. It’s information that will help with your relationships, your professional life and your personal growth. Visit this page to find out more.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Now is the time to clear up any lingering secrets you may be keeping from someone, which would include withholds or convenient misunderstandings. What you reveal now will serve the purpose of healing, while what you delay or avoid discussing will have undue power to cause problems in the future. You may be in a situation where you are discovering so much about yourself that you haven’t said that you don’t know what to include in the conversation. I suggest beginning with any withholds that you’re aware of as such, or clarifying any known misunderstandings created by how you’ve presented yourself in the past. You know the time has come to live more transparently. What is nice about the current moment is that others are well poised to get used to that idea.

The 2011 Leo birthday report is 70 minutes of in-depth astrology plus a 20-minute tarot reading for you, exploring relationships, personal growth and your professional life. Visit this page for additional information.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — How do you correct what you perceive needs improvement in yourself? It’s an admirable goal to be a better person, though you need a gentle way to determine how that might look in real life. Growth is not a process of scrutiny but rather creativity. Instead of eliminating a bad habit, try creating a better one. Instead of quitting a job you don’t like, set some new goals for yourself that allow you to grow into a better employment situation. Transitioning from scrutiny to creativity can be challenging, especially when your list of things to ‘work through’ keeps getting longer. I would propose that one event around mid-month shows you how easy it can be. One way to describe the difference is that scrutiny is like planning to make decisions, and creativity is about taking action.

The 2011 Virgo birthday report is ready! I’ve recorded 70 minutes of astrology plus a tarot reading for you, exploring how you’re working through family material, your use of spirituality, some new energy in your relationships and your professional goals. Visit this page for additional information.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Creativity is a practical thing. There’s a rumor that creative people are flooded with inspiration and overflowing with the desire to express it. I would say that most people perceived as creative are actually pragmatists. Yes, it’s necessary to have ideas before you set about applying them, but the second step counts for more than the first. Your task this month is to explore the balance between the two, which is another way of saying: apply your ideas where you think they will make a difference. That difference could be improving the view of the wall from your bathtub, or it could be about creating something that serves many people. Lurking deep beneath the ocean of your astrology is an obsession with service. You’re at a point in life where what you do has to count for something.

Your Libra birthday audio for 2011 is finished. Created outside next to an open fire, this reading covers the astrology for your sign in about 70 minutes (looking at career, relationship, home life and the many influences to change you’re now experiencing). It also includes a Voyager tarot reading. Visit this link for additional information.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — How far can you see into the future? The answer is you’ll see a lot further if you’re not depending on the opinions of others as a source of information. You might be especially sensitive to the people around you as reference points, but the chances are they are stuck on the small points and glossing over the more significant ones. You could go a long way by asking yourself how useful the past is as a predictor of the future. Trends analysts usually say the past is the best indicator of the future, and a visionary would say the past is the very worst. For you, the past is providing an excellent reference point for what it’s necessary to go beyond. This really is as simple as the equation: “That only worked so well. It’s time to try something new.”

Hello Scorpios! Your 2011 Birthday Report is ready. It’s about an hour of astrology, plus a 20-minute tarot reading. It’s hot with transformational energy. I focus on your ruling planet Mars, your imagination and desire nature, and a phase of solid achievement. Please check this page for more information.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — There comes that point where intelligence only goes as far as your emotional connection to whatever you’re thinking about. I don’t mean emoting over an idea but rather being able to sense the implications of something you’re considering, while you’re considering it. You’re having a lot of ideas about your goals and objectives, and your charts warn that you might lose contact with what you’re thinking. It will help if you slow down and consider your plans more thoughtfully, and recognize that every action has implications that go far beyond what you’re immediately aware of. You cannot see all of those implications, but you can feel whether something is right or wrong for you. It’s time to trust that information, and to use it wisely.

The Sagittarius 2011 Birthday Report is ready. It’s about an hour of astrology, plus a 20-minute tarot reading. Sagittarius is encoded with a sense of cosmic mystery, and the recent, hot eclipse activity in your sign will continue unfolding for the next 6-12 months as you journey. Visit this page for additional information.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — You are becoming the embodiment of an idea. Though some would say this is dangerous, I would say it’s about being real. You don’t need to be an evangelist; you merely need to allow something that is truly meaningful to you to actually change you. What good are ideas otherwise? You might perform an experiment to determine whether something is a ‘real’ idea or a puff of thought that has no energy behind it. A real idea will feel something like, ‘If this is true, then I am a different person’. Different would pertain to what attracts you or what you find to be unacceptable or totally revolting. As the next few months progress and many new, unusual experiences come your way, discernment is going to become your most important tool. And this is something you must do with every cell in your body.

Happy birthday! There will indeed be a Capricorn audio birthday report! Watch your email or check this space for additional information in the next edition.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — A very old story is drawing to a close. The transition you’re making is one that you will look back on as a turning point for the rest of your life. You can think of it as the time when you finally got it that you have to be honest with yourself; and by extension, when you figured out that honesty is the one thing on which any viable relationship is predicated. You have the advantage right now of someone close to you who is especially gifted at living in a transparent way. Lately this is something they have done with fixed determination to something they have relaxed into as a sensible way of life, even though it may feel uncomfortable at times. That feeling won’t last long; the truth is what it is, and worthy of respect.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — You may feel you’ve survived without something essential for a long time — in truth, for too long. It has not helped that this something, whatever it is, feels like it can be found in abundance everyplace but where you are. You have made contact with this missing element recently, enough to have a clue that fulfillment is possible. The best thing you can do for yourself right now is to be open to receive. This will call for a conscious approach to existence, so you can notice the many ways you’ve gotten used to not having this certain something that you know is essential to your contentment. Take the lid off of your cup, so that the cosmic water can fill it up. Step into the light, were you can see more easily. When you breathe, feel the air rushing into your lungs.

Inner Space Horoscope for December 2011

Dear Friend and Reader:

The month begins during the interval between two eclipses. We had a partial eclipse of the Sun in Sagittarius this past Friday, Nov. 25, and now we’re heading for an especially potent total eclipse of the Moon in Gemini on Saturday, Dec. 10. This won’t be visible from most of North America, but we’ll feel it as an acceleration of time, and the sensation of polarization in our human encounters. People may seem especially opinionated, and others may exploit ordinary differences in viewpoints to advance their own cause. You don’t have to get caught in the game. Pay attention to what is happening behind the scenes. There is another story entirely, which involves escaping from the conspiracy of fools — the tendency of so many people to make the same mistakes over and over again. Note that Mercury, now retrograde, will station direct in Sagittarius on Dec. 13. The Sun enters Capricorn on Dec. 22, followed by a potent New Moon square the Aries Point on Dec. 24.

Lovingly,

Eric Francis

Inner Space Horoscope for Dec. 2011 | Eric’s Zodiac Sign Descriptions

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Aries (March 20-April 19) — Much of the time, people do a fine job helping one another avoid any form of healing process. At other times they agree to support one another’s growth, wellbeing and resolving their pain. I suggest you choose which side of this equation you’re going to encounter in the people around you, which will mean two things: knowing who has the agenda of not getting better; and then choosing your healing partners carefully. What exactly is a healing partner? It’s someone in your life whose primary purpose is to facilitate your process, be they a friend or a practitioner of some kind. It’s a relationship dedicated to improvement of your life on the deepest level. Make up your mind who you want, and choose the people most likely to give you that.

Aries, your birth sign or rising sign, is getting a transit from the planet Uranus — which is a wild wakeup call, and a bold creative influence. I’ve recorded an hour of astrology and a tarot card reading for you. Learn more by visiting this page.

Taurus (April 19- May 20)

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Many artists are hard on themselves, but perfectionism and creative flow are two different things. Sorting out the difference is one of your new long-term projects. Since there’s no such thing as ‘perfect’ you might want to question the value of an ism that’s based on a nonexistent state of being. The alternative would be embracing the idea that your life, and all you create, are works in progress. The breakthrough level is making contact with your motives to create at all. When you get there you’ll feel the raw power that drives the impulse to shape, design or create the world around you. That corresponds to the drive to shape and create yourself, and this is a passionate impulse. Remember how much you love life. Remember that you were born, and you are free to influence your environment. The question is how.

I’ve recorded an hour of astrology and done a tarot reading especially for you. It’s information that will help with your relationships, your professional life and your personal growth. Visit this page to find out more.

Gemini (May 20- June 21)

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Mercury, your ruling planet, is retrograde in your opposite sign right now, which means that your role in a partnership matter is under special focus. Whatever the situation, whoever seems to be ‘at fault’ and whatever the apparent cause of the current developments, remember: you’re not working with full information at this point. Do not rush to judgment, or come to any conclusions. You will know a lot more mid-month when Mercury stations direct and the rest of the facts come out — particularly the ones you had no clue even existed. You will need to be patient, put up with the suspense and make a lot of room for misunderstanding (especially of those who simply do not get where you’re coming from). Arguing your case will only make it worse. People need to figure out certain things for themselves, and they will — if they want.

Gemini is one of the most misunderstood signs — and as someone born under this sign, part of your role is to hold a mirror to the world. I’ve recorded an hour of audio for you, plus a 20-minute tarot reading. You can get access to these by visiting this page.

Cancer (June 21- July 22)

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — There is plenty about yourself that you don’t know, and it’s likely that you’re going to make some unusual discoveries over the next few weeks. I trust that what you find out will help you make peace with something that has long been a source of confusion and irritation, if only for having made so little sense for so long. I think you’ll be surprised how obvious the truth turned out to be. This may have been something you’ve known for a long time, and if so, that does not reduce its value. Your recognition of what is so, and what it means to you, is what really matters. With this persistent issue out of the way, you will have a lot more energy to invest in a goal or desire that for some reason you have not been able to act on.

I’ve recorded an hour of astrology and done a tarot reading especially for you. It’s information that will help with your relationships, your professional life and your personal growth. Visit this page to find out more.

Leo (July 22- Aug. 23)

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — The lucky break you’re about to get in a career matter has very little to do with luck and lots to do with your devotion to and obsession with preparation. True, it may seem like luck when so many factors begin working in your favor, but consider how long you’ve persisted on this quest and how many times you’ve tried to get it right. As you know, the key to your success actually is in how you conduct your relationships. There would be no point to talent, to knowledge or to experience without a way to share these things with others, and that has been your primary focus. Things have taken a little longer than if you were a professional conqueror, but your success would be nowhere near as meaningful.

The 2011 Leo birthday report is 70 minutes of in-depth astrology plus a 20-minute tarot reading for you, exploring relationships, personal growth and your professional life. Visit this page for additional information.

Virgo (Aug. 23- Sep. 22)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Mars has entered your birth sign, where it will be for the next eight months — a long time for Mars to spend in one sign. There will be many psychological facets to this transit, but the most significant for you is gaining an understanding of one of Virgo’s most famous qualities — self-criticism. If that habit helped you, it would not need so much in the way of critique, but my sense is that it’s outdone its use. Yet you may need to figure this out palpably for yourself. I’m talking about something that is violent rather than evaluative or reflective. That is to say, the thing you need to understand is self-attack, not your ability to reflect honestly on who you are or what you do. While you’re figuring this out, easy does it.

The 2011 Virgo birthday report is ready! I’ve recorded 70 minutes of astrology plus a tarot reading for you, exploring how you’re working through family material, your use of spirituality, some new energy in your relationships and your professional goals. Visit this page for additional information.

Libra (Sep. 22 - Oct. 23)

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Events this month will feel like foreshadowing in a novel — little clues and hints of what is developing in your life. The challenge is to notice them when you feel them, and make use of the information. Certain clues you’re getting now will make a lot more sense come next June. The theme is making contact with what I will reluctantly call your higher purpose. This may not be a particular activity, but rather a sense of contact with the ‘real you’ that has an otherworldly quality. This is a beautiful feeling when you notice it, and though it’s not necessarily coming in at full-energy right now, you’re getting a taste of the energy — which might feel like the sensation of being absolutely sure you belong on the planet at this moment.

23- Nov. 22)

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — The key to your success right now is not being afraid to be unpopular while not doing anything special that would make you be that way. You’re having to assert your will and your intentions in a delicate environment. Now, it always seems that way, and part of what you’re learning is diplomacy. But this is a special case. It takes integrity to assert your will or your viewpoint in the face of those who might have some other position, but it’s vital that you not let those other viewpoints deter you. This is a matter of integrity, and that is the way to proceed. Know all sides of the issues involved. Be prepared with the facts. And remember that people are more likely to respond to your emotional tenor than the information you present. Be correct, and be mellow about it.

22 - Dec. 22)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — Be mindful of the effects you have on others. And be mindful that the effects you seem to have may not all be coming from you. That said, I suggest you be especially observant, especially for all the things that go unsaid in human affairs. You don’t know what people are thinking about you when the lights are off and they’re under the covers. But there will be clues: the particular look in someone’s eyes, the tone of their voice, the way they influence a conversation to help you feel good about yourself. Don’t take any of this for granted, or take it casually. There are people who truly care about you, and at least one of them is making his or her presence known in ways that will be too subtle for most mortals to appreciate.

Sagittarius Birthday Audio Report

Dear Friend and Sagittarian:

I’ve just finished your Sagittarius birthday report and tarot reading. Sagittarius is encoded with a sense of cosmic mystery, and as I’ve written in many recent articles, there is a lot going on in your sign right now. I’ve broken this reading down into two parts: the first is about relationships and the second is about career and creativity — though the two are closely related.

Planet Waves
Whiskey and Owen. Photo by Beki Herrbach.

The current Mercury retrograde and the upcoming lunar eclipse in Gemini will offer you the experience of relating to people you wouldn’t normally relate to. Think of this astrology as taking you on an introspective journey where you are able to make real contact and truly experience the “other” within yourself.

Your birthday report includes an hour of astrology that covers some of the more meaningful astrological influences that will bring you through to your next birthday, including the partial solar eclipse that occurred over the weekend and Mercury retrograde in your sign over the next few weeks.

My birthday readings all come with a tarot session, using the Voyager tarot by James Wanless. I include a 20-minute tarot reading (many people’s favorite part of my birthday products), which looks at your life using a tool that speaks in pictures. A photo of the spread is included, as are some supplemental articles.

The whole package is just $14.95 — priced to be affordable. It’s posted to a permanent link which you can play as many times as you like, or download into iTunes. I include the chart and the tarot spread for reference.

Capricorn (Dec. 22- Jan. 20)

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Explore the power of love. That’s the benefit of letting go of fear, which is something that for some reason seems to be happening to you right now. Of course, you might let go of fear right after you feel a bunch of it blow through town, but sometimes that’s how it goes. Let everything that you feel remind you that love is what gets the job done here in the human dimension. Love is what focuses your awareness, and makes you a person worth noticing. It’s what draws people to you, and what ensures that you have the resources you need for a solid life. Contrary to popular belief it’s not hard work — unless that work is done with love. This has always been your career ambition. Now you can let it take over your life.

Aquarius (Jan. 20- Feb. 19)

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — You are going through some kind of transition that’s calling you into the public eye. I suggest you embrace this willingly. You don’t need to be a star or even an extrovert to have a presence in the world. And you don’t need to do much asserting yourself to have a presence in the world. You merely need to get out of the house and be present where you are. Do yourself a favor and stay about five drinks behind the crowd. You need your full faculties available, and you need to be conscious what you say to whom. I’m not suggesting you be quiet, but rather that you focus on the conversation you’re in with some precision. Let your presence speak more than your words — and remember that your presence is more like a laser than a flashlight.

Pisces (Feb. 19- March 20)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — This is the moment to take some territory in your professional life, which is another way of saying taking authority over your affairs and making an impression on the world with your talent. This has already begun to happen over the past few weeks; things you did that barely seemed to get noticed in the past are now finally getting attention. Here’s the thing. As my old therapist Joe Trusso likes to remind people, don’t judge your performance. Just do what you do and go on to the next thing. I would add that you have no way of knowing just how many people, or who in particular, your work is influencing. That means the imperative has to be on quality. Tune your instrument every time you play. Keep your focus, project yourself clearly and know your song well before you start singing.

Planet Waves Inner Space Horoscope — November 2011

Maria in a Venetian mask. Photo by Danielle Voirin

Dear Friend and Reader:

November is the month when the Sun moves from Scorpio to Sagittarius. As autumn develops, the theme evolves from the deepest emotional and sexual consciousness (flavored by Days of the Dead in early November) to the most etheric, global and cosmic. Yet the concepts of these two signs contain one another. Scorpio and Sagittarius present us with an essential diagram of the human experience, representing the two seeming polarities of what we long for. Scorpio endorses desire, which we find within ourselves and ultimately fulfill within ourselves. Sagittarius reminds us that the most cosmic experiences are often the most grounded ones. We can find the truth of God contemplating the Galactic Core or gazing at a flower. What all of this has in common is how we experience our awareness. Whether we experience something as emotional, erotic, mysterious or natural is all about how we experience ourselves — and this can change from moment to moment.

Lovingly,

Eric’s Zodiac Sign Descriptions

Aries (March 20-April 19) — After a phase of experimenting with your expressive passions, you reach an inner fork in the road: you can direct your creativity into a focused project or vocation, or you can get lost in your doubts and self-criticism. While I’m not a big fan of dichotomies, this one seems to contain some truth, at least this far: you cannot be too self-critical and still be free to express your passions. Self-reflective is one thing. Self-aware is closely related. It’s necessary to be able to critique your work without criticizing yourself. You seem determined to make some practical use of your passions, and to keep yourself busy with what actually matters to you. You can do that, though it’s going to take a mix of effort and flow, thought and intuition, motivation and attention to detail.

Aries, your birth sign or rising sign, is getting some of the most potent transits of them all right now. I’ve recorded an hour of astrology and a tarot card reading for you. Learn more by visiting this page.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You may feel like you’re right near potential that you cannot quite access. This might be in the form of having limited options or feeling like you’re boxed into the circumstances in your life. Yet there is something obvious you may be missing, which is that in any given moment, no matter what you’re doing, you have the privilege and the ability to express your quest. You may not think you do; you may have the idea that you’re not free till you make your great escape. That itself is a kind of trap. Your freedom of existence and creativity is contained in your daily activity. Yet to get there you have to make a decision to think of two things that usually seem separate or unrelated as the same thing, then explore how that feels.

I’ve recorded an hour of astrology and done a tarot reading especially for you. It’s information that will help with your relationships, your professional life and your personal growth. Visit this page to find out more.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — You are in an unusual position to experience the world as the people who are close to you do. This is not the usual mirror effect of relationships but rather the sensation of a world opening. Remember to define the word ‘relationship’ as broadly as you can, remembering that human encounters are as diverse as the people we have them with. Connecting with people is not about getting married or hooking up or doing business — it’s vital to be open to any possibility, and greet the many people you encounter with a sense of potential and openness to adventure. That means keeping an open mind, and using your freedom to adapt to the people and circumstances that surround you. You don’t need an agenda, though your authentic curiosity will come in handy every day.

Gemini is one of the most misunderstood signs — and as someone born under this sign, part of your role is to hold a mirror to the world. I’ve recorded an hour of audio for you, plus a 20-minute tarot reading. You can get access to these by visiting this page.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — You need a lot of freedom around your work, and this is the time to take it. You know you’re not the type to sit in an office, so if you find yourself in one, do your best to get out as much as you can, on whatever excuse or project you can think of. If you’re self-employed, experiment with the most creative aspects of what you do, and then as the month progresses, work out of the house as much as possible. Your mind will be happier and your ideas will flow better. This is the time of year when you can connect to your infinite source of creativity. Many have wondered where you get your energy, and whatever the answer to that question may be, these are the months when you connect to your source, refill your well and guide the abundant activity of the month toward your highest vision.

I’ve recorded an hour of astrology and done a tarot reading especially for you. It’s information that will help with your relationships, your professional life and your personal growth. Visit this page to find out more.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — Expression is the opposite of depression. Keep telling yourself that. You may not be depressed, but approximately two-thirds of the world seems to be — and it has a way of being contagious. At the moment you’re especially empathic and absorbent. You can feel just about anything anyone else is feeling, which is good for them. But when the Sun enters your fellow fire sign Sagittarius in a few weeks, you’re going to feel like a galaxy of ideas you want to share with the world. I suggest you start sooner rather than later. Clear a table, make space in your mind, and make space in your life as best you can in this busy world, because a wave of visionary creative passion is on its way. This is yours to explore and enjoy, however you can.

The 2011 Leo birthday report is 70 minutes of in-depth astrology plus a 20-minute tarot reading for you, exploring relationships, personal growth and your professional life. Visit this page for additional information.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — You need to learn the art of evaluation. All kinds of spiritual and psychological paths decry the toxin of judgment, but we don’t get much information about what to do after that. Virgo is famous for its self-critical nature, and you’re now beginning an extended phase of your life when you may be tempted to go there even more than usual. So I suggest that you create alternatives that give you a constructive use of that drive, giving you something useful to do with the energy. Along with this, I suggest you truly explore the concept of being open-minded. Like many things, it’s easier said than done, but more valuable than you may realize. One cannot really think, unless one is open-minded. Since you’ll be thinking a lot about yourself, it will help to do that in the gentlest, most self-supportive way.

The 2011 Virgo birthday report is ready! I’ve recorded 70 minutes of astrology plus a tarot reading for you, exploring how you’re working through family material, your use of spirituality, some new energy in your relationships and your professional goals. Visit this page for additional information.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — This has been a rather interesting few weeks in your experience of (and study of) your relationships. I trust that you’ve left one concept behind — grafting yourself permanently to another person for the rest of your life. Obviously you’re someone to whom commitment is deeply important. You believe in fidelity and you thrive on trust. But that is different from the idea of absolute permanence. You have, at least, begun to ask yourself real questions about what it means to be an autonomous, independent person. I would suggest that only such a person is in a good position to relate to someone else in an authentic way. Now and for the foreseeable future, you could say that the theme of your relationships is ‘love is freedom’.

Your Libra birthday audio for 2011 is finished. I’ve prepared a comprehensive reading for you, covering the astrology for your sign in about 70 minutes (in two segments) and offering a tarot reading of just under half an hour. Visit this link for additional information.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — You’re at your most magnetic right now. The Scorpiophobia of the world is melting away and most days it will be more obvious that you’re the sensitive, passionate person you know yourself to be. That said, I suggest you remain picky about who your friends are. Fortunately, there will be a self-selection process working for you: the more authentic you are, the more you’ll attract the right people and repel the ones you don’t want. But don’t be too harsh on others; they may not seem to have your sharp wits or your notorious insight into psychology, but there will be certain days when you are feeling especially judgmental of the people around you. Everyone has their positive attributes, and one of yours is being able to notice that.

To order Light Bridge, your full-length 2011 reading including written and audio segments for Scorpio, please go to this link.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — This is the time of year when you feel the calling to the astonishing adventures for which you came to this Earth. As the Sun moves through your sign, you feel many of your deepest longings and your sense of cosmic connection. If you cannot go on a worldly adventure now, make plans to do so. You’re being called places; orient on them, collect information, make friends with people who live there. Make time in your schedule at the next possible moment. Set aside some money. Meanwhile, the deeper adventure involves the possibilities for your incarnation on our planet at this time. You came here with a purpose, whether it was to accomplish certain things, to learn, to have fun, or to serve. Connect with that mission now. Give yourself permission to let it be real.

To order Light Bridge, your full-length 2011 reading including written and audio segments for Sagittarius, please go to this link.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — You will get a lot further if you give up caring what other people think about you, but that’s another way of saying that self-acceptance is the key to success and happiness. You tend to be a private person, but you must also live with a sense of transparency that can be unnerving. In truth all you can really do is be comfortable within your own skin, though that’s a learned skill. Here is a clue: there are a number of people who factor prominently in your life right now, and you don’t feel the same way about any of them. If you practice objectivity, which basically means accepting them for who they are without judgment, you’re really offering yourself a space of belonging in the world at the same time. Said another way, the more freedom you give people to be themselves, the more you will feel to be yourself.

To order Light Bridge, your full-length 2011 reading including written and audio segments for Capricorn, please go to this link.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — You may be on an odd emotional edge where what you desire as your greatest success also feels the most dangerous. As you approach an accomplishment or take on new responsibilities, you may have this lurking sense that disaster is looming. You won’t be able to tell if it’s your intuition or a bit of paranoia, but I would suggest that the closer you get to that feeling, the more effective you’re being at working toward a deeply cherished goal. While this sensation is especially poignant for you now, many people experience this sensation — and in running from it, avoid actually accomplishing what they set out to do. Progress demands a measure of uncertainty, and if you can dance with that, you can do anything.

To order Light Bridge, your full-length 2011 reading including written and audio segments for Aquarius, please go to this link.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — I’m not sure if you have an erotic vision — that is, a dream of how your sexuality would be ideally — but if you do, this is the month to take a step toward making it real. It would help if you state your ideas outright. This may feel radical; you may have the sense that nobody else will understand. What matters most is that you understand what you want. Why you want it is not so important; I suggest you connect your desire to direct ideas and visualizations. Then, see who and what comes your way, and the influence this has on the relationship experiences you have. What’s never said often enough about Pisces is that sex is your true religion, that is, where you seek your God-source. This idea is cosmologically and biologically accurate. It’s only judgment that gets in the way.
