Emotional depth carries over from the weekend to begin the workweek, thanks to the Moon wrapping up its eventful transit through Scorpio. The Moon ingresses Sagittarius Tuesday at 3:11 am EST / 12:11 am PST (08:10:52 UTC Tuesday).

Soon after entering Sagittarius the Moon meets up with the Sun for a New Moon. This is an opening into the future, as Sagittarius is inclined to be visionary. Notice how you create your life, and how you go from idea to action.

The Mars-Uranus opposition of the weekend is now dissipating. Venus is still in Sagittarius, separating from Sunday’s conjunction to Jupiter and the Galactic Core. The challenge is to focus on the spiritual essence of what we call love. Spiritual means truth, faith and trust.

Venus enters Capricorn late Monday the 25th (early on the 26th in Europe), which fosters a more pragmatic and duty-oriented idea of love. The high ideals of Sagittarius can seem to disappear as planets enter Capricorn, but the truth remains. Generosity, heart and receptivity still deserve a place at your table, and you’re the one who must hold that space open.

In 2020 we have not one but two conjunctions that mark the turn of a generation, and of an era in history. On Jan. 12, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn form their once per 33-year conjunction. Let others lead the way, at least for themselves; they know best, or they think they do. If you stand back a few paces, you’ll succeed in doing two things: allowing close partners or loved ones to make their own decisions, and having some perspective so that you see where you fit in (or don’t). What I suggest you not do is intervene, or try to alter anyone’s trajectory — even if you don’t think they’re doing the right thing. You might be right; or alternately, they might know something you don’t know. There is plenty going on in your life that’s calling for your attention. You seem to be preparing for some emergence into a new phase of your talent. Stick to that. Take care of yourself. Leave the people close to you space to deal with their stuff, and give things a solid week or more to settle down and sort themselves out. You’ll save a lot of needless bother.

Today and tomorrow, the astrology is marked by two rather different major aspects. One is a conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in Sagittarius: the planets of love and expansion in the sign of optimism. On its surface, this describes fantastic social energy, compassion, and ‘luck’ or abundance — especially for relationships of all kinds. Yet it comes with a twist, in the form of the Galactic Core (our ‘cosmic homing signal’) and the centaur Ixion (amorality), which are also part of the conjunction.

You might notice today how you respond to restlessness, opportunities for indulgence, and second chances. What do you do when you think nobody is looking? Do you take the abundance in your life for granted, or do you try to stay conscious of making the most of it and sharing it?

Today the Sun enters free-spirited Sagittarius (at 9:59 am EST), following the Moon’s early sign change into Libra. Both of these should dial down considerably any intensity you’ve experienced over the last few days, and help smooth any ruffled feathers. Take a deep breath — now you can begin to shift your focus once more to the onward road. A change of scene might help, even if it’s only to the cafe a few blocks away, or the next town.

Vesta, still on its retrograde through Taurus, will also form a trine aspect to Saturn in Capricorn. This is a connection that’s all about work and devotion. If you want to make headway with an ongoing project, and you’re willing to put in the elbow grease, this aspect might not drive your engines but it should clear the path.

With the Sun’s presence in Sagittarius we should also begin feeling the good-vibe conjunction between Venus and Jupiter in that sign, which will be exact on Sunday. This influence culminates at the same time that Mars exactly opposes Uranus, on the 24th. Such contrasting dynamics occurring together may describe the inspired energy necessary to break through log-jams to achieve a more ideal condition. Just be aware of the difference between action that serves a positive purpose, and impulsive risk-taking or carelessness.

You will benefit from knowing how much you’ve got, and how valuable it is. In doing so you will stoke the sensation of abundance, and that will, in turn, lead to more abundance. As for opportunities of what to do with that wealth, or who to do business with, give that time to develop. Learn to be with the potential of who you are, without having to discharge it in any particular direction. This is the time to fully own and appreciate your resources. In a sense, I suggest you identify with them, in that you observe the extent to which what seems to be yours is actually a reflection of you.
