Today’s Oracle takes us to the Taurus weekly for December 7, 2007.

You can feel the circumstances and needs from the opposite viewpoint, and you may be discovering that it’s not so opposite after all. That is the interesting thing about role-reversals — they reveal what we have in common more than they reveal what is different. The floor remains open for further discussion of the possibilities, and you may be piecing together the fact that your gain benefits everyone; another person’s gain benefits everyone; your mutual gains are good for all. You can at this juncture afford to set aside some of your conservative tendencies and explore possibilities that would have made you nervous to even think about not so long ago. That is the benefit of authentic confidence rather than its fa?ade or image.

The Saturn-Pluto conjunction is separating, but still strongly influencing our experience. While this event will happen two or three times in the lives of most people, this particular instance is a moment of convergence and reckoning for the world and for us as individuals.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn monthly for December 23, 2008.

Do you need all the emotional barricades that you think protect you? What exactly do they protect you from? This is the question that is so infrequently asked. A Course in Miracles goes so far to suggest that we question why we have locks on our doors. It doesn’t advise removing the locks, but rather asking specifically against whom they exist; and why we think they protect us. Barricades, locks and bolts are all forms of boundaries. So too is psychological armor; and secrecy; and this thing so casually called compartmentalization. Pluto has made its way into your sign. While every astrologer on the planet debates or ponders the meaning of this on a global scale, let’s consider how this is going to clear the way to making you a more accessible person. The transit of Pluto in your sign represents a complete shift in your worldview and your perception of yourself (Capricorn Moon and rising included). Something is being dismantled, a something that was, in a sense, installed into you from birth, or rather long before birth: it came along with your DNA and what some call a karmic inheritance. It is this same something that is coming under a process of enforced change for many people around you, though for few of them so directly as it is affecting you. Look around and you’ll notice the same thing, taking more abstract forms. The beauty of the moment is that you are being compelled to question every assumption you’ve ever had about yourself. You will see how these assumptions push you out of reach of the people who love you and more importantly, who you love. They form a latticework of denial of your most basic truth. As has been written before, you don’t need to seek the truth — only that which obscures it.

Are you tired of being a prisoner of yourself? I hope so. Admit, if you need to, that when you feel free you’re really on a kind of work furlough, intended to meet a certain purpose. Lately you’ve been experiencing some enormous progresses in how you encounter the world; true confidence in how you play your role in life, and possibly even an unusual sense of mission. Following this will get you part of the way toward self-knowledge. Your imagination will get you the rest of the way. Your growth right now is less about doing what you are afraid to do and much more about thinking what you are normally afraid to think.

You may still be reeling based on what I can only describe as a recent emotional and domestic reality check. There may have come that moment when everything seemed up for grabs, or seemed to disappear, or where the ground beneath you opened up. But with this new perspective, you are better able to live from day to day and appreciate the comfort and safety that you have. I think you may have realized the waste that is to live a day and not feel the safety you can feel; to live a day and not remember that you’re alive.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Aquarius weekly for November 28, 2003.

The privilege of being real belongs to those who are not afraid of the consequences that might come from those who cringe at that potential in themselves. Rather than vanquishing the shame and fear of existence — that is, the fear of being real — the situation is perpetuated and society as we know it becomes an act. You’ve seen through this hypocrisy and I know you don’t like it. Here is the passport beyond: everyone already is different. One does not need the right to be different, that’s just the way it is. You cannot change that reality; nobody can. See the awesome diversity in the people around you, and accept the people who are quickly coming into your life as if you were some kind of high-voltage magnet. That is a fact.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Gemini weekly for September 27, 2015.

Mercury, the Gemini planet, stations retrograde Thursday in Libra — the place in your chart where you can go pearl-diving for ideas (your 5th solar house). There you might find concepts for movies, books and art installations. Yet anything can benefit from a creative approach, and nothing says creative like Mercury retrograde in the 5th. It’s one of those movements that can shake up your approach to life. Any new viewpoint or angle would be well-served by curiosity. I could write a book about this, though I’ll sum it up in a sentence or two: curiosity will keep your mind fresh and alive. Inquire of others and of yourself. Know when you don’t know and seek out any missing information. More than anything, apply your curiosity to yourself. Allow your experience of living each day to be an exploration of what you don’t know about your inner life, and by extension, the world. Since this is happening in Libra, here are two more ideas: apply the principle of balance, whatever that means to you. And above all else, emphasize beauty. Make sure your presentation is tasteful and elegant, and you can do anything you want.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Aquarius weekly for May 23, 2016.

Much of your existence right now is centered on the wellbeing of others. How is that for a perfectly Aquarian theme? I suggest you not go halfway with this; give yourself the honor and the pleasure of going the whole distance. The hard thing to get over at this point of history is that it’s not all about you. But once you make contact with that, you might catch glimpses of how the whole world, and the whole life you are living, and all that you perceive, is a reflection of you. As you offer your loving support and assistance to people, it’s as if you are reconnecting with scattered aspects of your soul. In a very real sense, you’re being called upon to be submissive to your own existence, as a gesture of respect. As you do this, you will get to know yourself in new ways. You will become personal witness to how every facet of life relates to every other.
