Dear Friend and Reader:
This post is a compilation of my favorite articles relating to 2012 and in particular, the transit of Venus that takes place Tuesday. We’ve decided to send this out to all of our readers — subscribers and visitors — so that everyone has access to dependable information about this truly rare event — nothing like it will repeat until 2117.
We’re passing this information forward, trusting there’s something here for you, and so that new readers can see the way we cover rare astrological events for our subscribers — the direct sponsors and participants in our publishing experiment. You make this work possible; our business model is that of a cooperative venture between us and our readers.
If you like what we’re doing, you’re invited to contribute your energy, which can come in the form of passing this link on to your friends, subscribing to our service, or becoming a contributing writer or artist. If you’re currently a subscriber or customer — thank you for your investment in our new model of journalism, and for taking full advantage of what we do every day.

I’ve been writing about next week’s Venus transit since June 2004, when I saw the first of the current pair from Avebury Henge in England. I called that article Day Zero, and began a countdown to the second event of the pair, which happens Tuesday. That was 2,920 days ago.
My next related article is The Road to Xibalba, a reference to the Mayan concept of an opening at the Galactic Center that’s a metaphor for our current birthing process. This article was published in 2009 as a three-year preview of the events leading to this ominous thing known as 2012.
More recently, I did an audio series called The Top Five Events of 2012. In one segment, I describe the current series of eclipse-like events, including the transit of Venus. This is a rich, even lavish, audio package that takes 2012 from many different angles. It was part of the 2012 annual readings for the 12 signs of the zodiac — which are still available and more relevant than ever.
As part of the June horoscope package for our subscribers, I included an article called Transit of Venus: Embracing the Solar Feminine. This relates what it feels like to basically have the Sun become Venus in the process of such a precise conjunction. I interview Adam Gainsburg, who describes this as an event related to deep levels of gender balancing as well as the activation of the feeling body. This includes a 12-sign horoscope that’s based on the transit of Venus. This is premium content that we are opening up to all readers.
Finally, in Friday’s subscriber edition, I summed up the event as Opening to Eros. This idea is based on an interview with astrologer-psychologist David Tresemer. You can listen my interview with him from the United Astrology Conference (UAC) earlier in the week. There are many more interviews at Planet Waves FM, all open to the public.
I know there’s a lot of material here! I’m taking the chance of sending a bit too much rather than a bit too little. Check any link that seems interesting and give it a read, and see how you like it.

It’s good to be with you.
Lovingly,
