Today’s Moon-Saturn conjunction is a reminder to prioritize business over pleasure. But it’s also a reminder to have fun, and to keep your sense of humor. Ultimately, your heart’s desire is to be driven by passion, and to be passionate about everything you do. When you get there, what you’ll discover is that work and play morph into the same thing.
Written in the Planets
We live in genuinely interesting and strange times; but for reasons related to that fact, many people simply don’t notice it. Here’s why I think that is. I call it the GPS phenomenon. Most people are familiar with this thing that gives you directions from the astral plane. It’s like the voice of a digital spirit guide telling you where to go. With GPS you always know what to do next, and you usually get to your destination just fine, but you have no context for where you’ve traveled. The past and the future disappear. The here and now — supposedly the most spiritual state — exists with no wider context. This is the story of our lives right now, living under digital conditions.
That’s an interesting theory, the “GPS” thing. I don’t agree with it, because I know very well the context of where I’ve been; but interesting none the less, and true for many I’m sure.
That’s why our own inner GPS is so crucial to our well-being, happiness, relationships, prosperity…even to our creativity and sexuality. Too much technology dulls everything, or creates a “hyper” sensitized energy.
As I commented on Amanda’s column earlier this week…in this digital age we must develop our own inner GPS; a keen ability to cut through the clutter every day. We must develop an ability to cut through our attachments to the media, marketing, advertising, and technology that is inundating us…and to balance within ourselves, and then connect…
…to our individual values, to our goals, our God, whomever or whatever God may be for you, and to our humanity.
This gives us the power to discern truth and reality from illusion…and just plain marketing! This separates us from the “body of energy” that is technology now. This isn’t new, it’s been expanding exponentially the past 10 years, it’s just now that people have “had enough” and are beginning to experience it with consciousness.
In fact the sci-fi writers of the 1970’s…predicted it all in their fiction!

The following is not a panacea for being lost in the digital environment, but I have found it incredibly recuperative & useful as a tool to re-orient myself & gain clearer perception:
I begin by sensing/feeling my brain in my skull, then imagine it is just a lump of tissue, no neurons are firing, no thought connections are being made, it’s just a lump of tissue sitting up there in my skull. Try this whenever your nervous system feels overwhelmed. You can do the same sort of practice with your eyes. Don’t grip your eyeballs, just let them rest in their sockets, don’t grab things with them, soften your focus, just see what’s in front of you. Don’t even label it with your mind, just see. Try to do it at the same time you rest your brain.
