Consider yourself a torch-bearer — not in the symbolic sense, but rather in the sense of someone who is carrying both energy and a visible light in the world. You may not be certain in the ways you’re doing that, though I assure you not only that you are, but also that you can do it more effectively. The key concept here is devotion — the force that moves you from within, with beautiful dependability. You may have to clear a lot of things out of the way to do this; certain things you want to do may lose priority as a result. Yet you’re able to focus your efforts on something that matters to you and to many other people. I would propose you’re doing a better job of this than you think, and that you have the opening to devote some of your energy to the things you’ve set aside. This whole sequence of events is about getting all the seemingly separate parts of yourself talking to one another, working together, and gaining the kind of strength that comes from integrity. Whatever may change in the external world, remember that it’s part of a deeper inner project, a growth project whose time has come. We’re now at the very beginning of a long sequence of events that will gradually transform your life. The charts for April have a few bold reminders: one is to be flexible. Be conscious of when you’re trying to enhance how you feel about yourself by altering externals — your appearance, for example, or making sure that people know your accomplishments. Consider this: If you emphasize your appearance in some way, that’s taking consciousness from your interior reality. Experiment with this to see it in action. You’re not valued by others because your appearance is so good, or so acceptable, or because your flaws are hidden. You are accepted because you are who you are, the more so the bolder you are about it. Consider that a focus on externals, no matter how shiny, dulls something about your interior, while focus on your inner fire is how you can shine.

There will be enormous gains made if everything is looked for in terms of its roots on the emotional level. Health situations, family situations, and anything involving the state of mind is likely to have an emotional connection. That, in turn, is likely to be connected to the environment. Use both logic and intuition. Eliminate chemicals, sugar and television and substitute anything more natural, empathic and nourishing. Remember that any problem that has actually surfaced has roots in the past and may take as long to work out as it did to develop in the first place.
