Today’s Oracle takes us to the Libra monthly for July 1, 2005.

When the rewards for all your hard work the past couple of years arrive they’re unlikely to be quite what you were expecting. Often the personal benefit of being in service is the opportunity to be of even greater service. So get used to it. Is this not exactly what you’ve been asking the universe for? What’s worth noting is that you’re being called upon to help in ways that only you can. You’ve built a reputation to a great extent on this fact alone. Success is no longer a matter of whether you fit in; it’s a matter of being entirely willing to play your precise role on the great stage of life. As such you can indulge fully in the experience; you can take every advantage that comes to you; you can afford to take a few risks.

The Saturn-Pluto conjunction is separating, but still strongly influencing our experience. While this event will happen two or three times in the lives of most people, this particular instance is a moment of convergence and reckoning for the world and for us as individuals.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Cancer weekly for January 7, 2016.

It is now more important than ever for you to be present in the moment. Start small. Count the steps on every flight of stairs you climb. Make note of every eye’s color. Listen for birds. Identify trees. Pay attention to the weather. At the end of every day, count the ways it was different from the day before. After a while, you will notice patterns and trends that are not constant, but changing. With the passage of a little more time, you will get a sense of what direction changes are taking. It may seem ridiculously simple, but keeping constant tabs on your present will liberate you from what is holding you back and what is inhibiting your forward motion as well. I’m not talking about anything you have yet to lose. I speak rather of what is long gone, and which you are not expecting to return. You may be feeling this, yet without recognizing how much power there is in goodbye. You may not recognize how much of your past you are holding onto in the symbolic act of not letting go of one particular person or situation. But the river of time is rushing at you, calling you new places, and to a new life.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Cancer weekly for May 3, 2013.

What do you want to be known for? Now would be a great time to make that known to others. I suggest you do that in the form of being who you are more boldly, and doing what you do with more confidence. Despite the sometimes conservative descriptions of what makes a Cancerian tick, and how you prefer to stay home and all that, you’re in a time when that happens not to be true — if it ever was. You are not merely safe being seen as someone a little eccentric, who is willing to take the risk of being thought of as a little weird; your success depends on taking advantage of this. It’s the fear of seeming different that prevents many people from doing something different; and I assure you that anything really worth doing in the long run will draw its value from being original. So you have a pass on that particular social concern, and now you can ask yourself for real: what do you want to be known for? The chances are you’re already pretty good at it.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Taurus monthly for March 1, 2006.

You may feel shaky about counting on a friend whose reliability is not always what it should be, particularly where a financial factor is involved. But truth be told, you really should have bigger things on your mind these days, and you would be wise to focus all of your energy on getting your life to the next level. While you cannot exactly plan for a quantum leap, I suggest you look at other times when you’ve done a similar move: when you were able to scale a new height, either creatively, financially or emotionally; or surmount a major obstacle and have it make a difference, or make a physical adjustment that has done quite well for you. I suggest that the thing to do is “the thing you thought you could never do” or the one that you really know you need, but which seems impossible. That’s the one.

Should another person’s loss ever be another person’s gain? Regardless of what we may feel, that’s how life is sometimes. Should you find yourself in the position to benefit based on what another person gives up, does not need or does not want, remember how you came into your good fortune, and go forward with an ethic of being fair and helping others. This is natural for you, but the stars are in an unusual alignment that could compel you to take the best things in life for granted. Keep your awareness poised to appreciate them all the time, and you will always have enough of what you need.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Cancer weekly for July 26, 2004.

Brilliant plans often benefit from revision. This is less a matter of opinion and more a matter of timing; the best course of action you can take at the moment is to review your recent work, reconsider your designs, and see where things fit together. Let decisions be preliminary. Just get used to the whole work-in-progress state of affairs for now. It is the state of temporary uncertainty that will lead to the certainty you are seeking. When I say certainty, I speak mainly of an encounter with an idea you really believe in. But such must seek you, and not you it — and it will, sooner than you think. Meanwhile I suggest coasting for a while as regards new projects, and keep your focus on people. They’re a lot more interesting, and you’re bound to meet one or two who really give you something to think about — if you take the time.

Be prepared for a not-so-subtle revolution in what you think, and how you think. The secrets you keep from yourself only stand in the way of progress, and the world’s many excuses for sublime dishonesty may all be a ruse for holding up the workings of fate, destiny or vital decisions. Current aspects or life circumstances may have the effect of serving like a truth serum, calling your attention to what is known and what is not known, and compelling you to act on the information. By the looks of your chart, they will be righteous actions.
