You must be your own authority, because if anyone else takes over, you won’t like it much. Yet if you serve as your own source of yes and no, of right and wrong, of what you want and don’t want, you will start to gain greater influence over your life and use of your time.

In 2020 we have not one but two conjunctions that mark the turn of a generation, and of an era in history. On Jan. 12, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn form their once per 33-year conjunction. Then on Dec. 21. 2020, Jupiter and Saturn, both now in Aquarius, form a conjunction in the first degree of that sign. Read more here…

You can make serious headway this year in terms of work and income. Opportunities may involve some degree of change on the job, but efforts to create stronger material foundations can be as personally fulfilling as they are significant to future security. Relationships might also prosper as a result of new ventures, or vice versa. Network!

It’s not so easy conceiving of other dimensions outside the ones we normally experience, but the Internet provides a very excellent example. Some people can get there. Some cannot. It’s not that some people lack the ability to see the screen and type on the keyboard; obviously they could. Once reached, another dimension is entered, an entire universe of customs, laws, ideas, many private languages (code, which excludes whole classes of code-illiterates). So there are different levels once one is inside that space. And the more imagination you have, the better it is, the further you can go, the more interesting choices you can make. Just like your life right now.

Seek creative solutions to resolving tension between your need for freedom and financial responsibilities. Balancing personal and domestic obligations may be an ongoing challenge, though changes on the home front are indicated, even if their impact is more psychological than physical. Attend to your spiritual foundations: sincere efforts in this direction will serve you well into the future.

It’s amazing how many people are hurt. It just seems to go on and on, and most people you meet limp around on their injuries without paying attention to what’s going on. You have insight into their situations, but what’s more interesting is the insight they can give you into yours. Nearly all illness is caused by, or comes with, a delusion of some kind. It’s difficult to see one’s own delusions, but others around you are providing a kind of mirror. It’s not that you have their problems; it’s that you can apply to yourself the logic you use when you figure out what they have going on. Look at what the people around you believe that makes no sense, and look at what they think is funny. Everyone will become mysteriously transparent, and the issues (along with how to handle them) plainly obvious.

The Day of Distinctive Manner: Birthdays and Planet News

A New Moon birthday is a pretty solid indicator of embarking upon a new phase in your life. Shoring up financial security is a priority, and even small steps taken now can yield rewards. So follow through on leads and don’t hold back. Creative self-expression or a bit or romance (or both) can help you discover more of who you are.

If you have a Sagittarius Sun, rising sign or Moon and could use some insights on real-life matters of life, work and relationships, your 2019-2020 Sagittarius Astrology Studio reading by Eric Francis will cover your ruling planet Jupiter’s conjunction to the Galactic Core, a preview of forthcoming Jupiter in Capricorn, and many other potentially life-changing facets of your astrology.

Written in the Planets

Today the Sun and Moon meet for the Sagittarius New Moon (read additional coverage about it here). This is exact at about 10:05 am EST / 7:05 am PST (15:05:28 UTC). At its essence, the Sagittarius New Moon is about spirituality and truth. Yet it’s in contact with a couple of centaur planets. In astrology, centaurs represent healing processes — and healing processes can be uncomfortable for a little while, as you make new choices and eventually emerge into a space of greater clarity.

In this case, the Sagittarius New Moon is square the centaur Nessus in Pisces. This looks like spirituality and truth running up against resentment and jealousy. You cannot have both — not if you want to feel better. So which are you going to choose? You have resources available to lean on, even if your bank account is empty or you feel lonely. For example, you know which activities, people and environments leave you feeling nourished and cared for, and which leave you feeling depleted. Chances are you also know that when you nourish and care for others, the world suddenly feels a lot friendlier.

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Pisces weekly for January 10, 2014.

If you need something, you know the person from whom you can get it. If you have an idea you want to manifest, you have the resources to make it happen. You’re in a moment of extraordinary manifestation power, so the most significant thing you can do is identify your needs and desires, and articulate them to yourself clearly. Your chart is making an interesting point, something I’ve learned to consider any time I remember, which is that you may already have what you think you need. So before you go seeking and striving, look in your home, close to home and among the people that you know and love the best. In many ways 2014 is a time of reclaiming; a time of receiving; and of remembering. You need less than you think and you have far more than you know.
