Speaking of bow tie conservatives, every time I see Mitch McConnell, I think of Dana Carvey’s Church Lady from the old SNL.

Gosh, haven’t thought about ol’ George Will in such a long time. He used to frequent this restaurant I worked in long long ago. He came in with various people, one I remember well as she was the originator (for me anyway) of the Just Say No campaign — as in the sexual abstinence campaign that Eric writes about often. Nancy Reagan and George Will were quite the couple all right. Seems rather quaint the notion that gay folk used to hang out with beards … back in the day.
Thanks for the laugh … Mitch McConnel always seems so intestinally challenged in my mind. I so appreciate the Dana Carvey reference. Bless ya’ll.
