Relationships are a delicate, sensitive dance. You can take nothing for granted — and while that may seem like torture to those who desire only stability and consistency, it is the more likely path to healthy interaction. We have all discovered at some point that relationships can be dangerous.

Relationships are a delicate, sensitive dance. You can take nothing for granted — and while that may seem like torture to those who desire only stability and consistency, it is the more likely path to healthy interaction. We have all discovered at some point that relationships can be dangerous. We can invest enormous amounts of self-esteem into them, alter the course of our lives and make commitments that may take decades to work out. Often we have to do this working from a blind spot as we assess who people are — only to find out that additional information would have been useful much earlier on. If you’re pondering subject matter such as this, I suggest you consider which fears you were carrying around before you got into your present situation. At the moment you’re susceptible to the self-fulfilling prophecy. Keep an open dialog with those you care about, and do your best to avoid making claims on the future.

The Daily Oracle offers a horoscope selected randomly by our Intelligent Archive Oracle program, unique to Planet Waves. It’s also a database of my horoscopes going back to the late 1990s. You can use the Intelligent Archive Oracle to answer questions and give you ideas for how to handle problems and situations you cannot see through. This feature is available to our Galaxy, Backstage and Core Community members. See this link for more information.

“…do your best to avoid making claims on the future.”
Surely those claims are what run many relationships into the ditch, yet
we wish for certainty – until we learn to dance with Uncertainty.
