Illinois Democratic Congressmember Luis Gutierrez announced Tuesday he will not seek re-election, because he instead plans to focus on rebuilding Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria. You have two competing forces in your psyche at the moment: the desire to rebel, and the desire to please others. While these might be seen as having equal value, they don’t really. How much of your life have you spent conforming to what you think others want? Probably way too much. You have a strong independent streak, and you’re restless.

Watch your words, especially in matters where you might feel anger or frustration. Express yourself honestly, clearly and as calmly as possible. Think carefully before you speak, and read over that email before you send it. Above all, remember that none of us is perfect. A little forgiveness may go a long way.
