Experience has prepared you to discern true friends from any obvious foes who may cross your path upon occasion. Genuine allies will encourage and support your doing what’s good for you and what’s right by others, because friends want you to be happy, healthy and at your best. Unfriendly critics and competitors will attempt to discourage you in order to get the upper hand. Now that you can tell the difference, the next step is to distinguish yourself by how you respond.

Know what works for you. Filter all your options through that knowledge, and your decisions will be properly informed. Simple though the protocol may be, it will be easy to forget. That’s because your life looks as though it might gain considerable stimulation in the coming weeks.

When in doubt, say you can. Assume you can do anything unless proven otherwise. To do so is not overconfidence; rather, it is understanding. Where your limits have in fact been proven, take them as benefits of experience that serve to define both who you are and what you might want to overcome. The more clearly you can define yourself, the more easily you can both appreciate and demonstrate all the qualities that make you both valuable and special.

Rain is good. Just ask anybody living through a drought. Yet, rainy days have a bad reputation they do not deserve. Now is an excellent time to look at what some commonly disparaged life circumstances might mean to you were they yours to live. It would also be a good idea to understand what others might find enviable about your circumstances now. This means more than counting your blessings — though that would not be a bad idea.
