Tonight I carefully consider the new phase of the Uranus-Pluto square — the 2012 aspect — and its relationship to the total solar eclipse and equinox. As part of the program I look closely at the very first and very last of the Sabian symbols — that mysterious set of (written) images for the zodiac degrees channeled in the 20th century.

Me too! Funnily enough, I heard this live, orchestrated version on the radio for the first time the other day and was totally blown away by it – like some amazing piece by Prokofiev. I’ll never forget those years, Eric. And I was completely blown away by your Sabian symbol too – found it very very helpful for working with the stuff that’s coming up for me now. And so helps to label it, “the inertia of the past”. Yes. Bless you, Eric.

I’ve been studying the solar eclipse chart. I think the form of evolution sparked by Uranus square Pluto has to do with responsibility for shaping the world we live in; specifically entitlement versus compassion, prejudice versus fairness.

There is a powerful movement propelling us toward broader-minded thinking and the eradication of visceral, animalistic motivations that many of us know should really have disappeared by now. I have hopes that this movement will yet succeed, and that the reactionary backlash – which is really a gut-level collective whine on the part of those who had it easy up to now – constitutes the birth pangs of what we have been awaiting.
